"Wires"
"What's the catch, Shippou?" Sesshomaru asked, a stern tone in his voice.
The Kitsune smiled devilishly, "You have no trust in me my friend." Shippou spoke to Sesshomaru for over an hour, explaining all of the details. It seemed that he could assist the white-haired youkai in what he needed.
"What you are saying sounds to be exactly what I need and at my convenience, but as I asked before: What's the catch?" he repeated himself from earlier. "I do not want to be in debt to you or anyone else for that matter."
"Sesshomaru, Sesshomaru," Shippou sighed, why did he have to be so persistent? "The only thing I ask for as a re-payment is that I can ask a favor of you, as asking of me now, if or whenever the time may arise."
"You knew I wouldn't help you for free even if you somehow coaxed me to help you in the first place. You're taking full advantage of my semi-weak point right now, aren't you?" Sesshomaru raised an eyebrow at the fox.
"Exactly," Shippou replied bluntly, that slight glint returning to his emerald eyes.
"I should have expected something like that from you…" the Inu-youkai sighed lightly.
"Yep, you should have," Shippou smiled childishly as he let an amused chuckle escape his lips, forgetting his high-class manners at that moment.
"There will be some limits to this `help' I can give you," Sesshomaru said, nothing on his face showing he was even slightly amused unlike the Kitsune.
"Of course," the red-haired youkai smirked, resting his chin in one of his clawed hands. "Ah, well, I hate to say this but I must leave you Sesshomaru, good luck." With that last sentence the window that had donned Shippou's vid-call disappeared and the web-page that Sesshomaru had been reading popped back up again.
Sesshomaru glanced at the clock at the bottom of his computer screen: it was now 4:58am. There was no use in going to sleep now. He saved the page he had been reading and switched his computer onto `idle-mode', the hologram screen disappearing instantly.
He rubbed the bridge of his nose between his eyes with his thumb and index finger. Things had been normal until that girl had showed up, now everything was slowing but surly getting complicated. Hopefully, he would come out of this far wealthier than he was now, but he was still walking on the thin line of chance for that one.
He stepped into his bathroom and stripped himself of the clothing that he had adored. Before he went into the shower he glanced at himself in the mirror, which only allowed him to see from about his navel and up. So, this was the body that women seemed to throw themselves at? He never had the conceited vanity to admire himself in the mirror before; it felt odd doing so now. Sesshomaru did not know a woman that liked him for who he was, they never took the time to get to know him-though his stoic personality didn't help at all either. All of the women who wanted to sleep with him first noticed his near-perfect appearance and wanted him for his money. They were like leeches. Latching onto their prey and draining them until there was nothing left. It made him sick to his stomach to think about them.
He shook the thought of women and everything else from his head and stepping into the shower stall. He touched the first flat button in a row of three that read `hot' and water of the selected temperature came streaming out from the showerhead. He felt the water cascade down his back and onto his chest, soothing him a bit. Sesshomaru let himself soak in the steaming water for a while before he washed himself and turned off the water's steady flow. As he began to dry himself off he wondered if the Kagome-girl was awake yet. He frowned, since when did her actions (aside from that display of Miko-like powers) mean anything to him?

Kagome remembered that Kouga and Inuyasha had told her that she could eat anything that she wanted. At first she questioned this but now that she was really hungry it didn't seem to matter. She searched the refrigerator and the cabinets, seeing what was available. She grabbed all of the ingredients necessary for pancakes, since Miroku-san had told her that was an appropriate breakfast food. Kagome sifted around and found a pan and put it on the flat stove-top. She tapped a tiny button on the right-side of the stove ten times so the pan would heat to the exact temperature she wanted.
She quickly mixed the ingredients together and poured the batter onto the pan until it made a fairly good-sized round shape. Kagome looked around for a pancake spatula, a cooking utensil that had a large round piece of metal with a handle attached to it. It was supposed to make flipping pancakes easier and when used properly, it did. But Kagome's ill-experienced hands were not up to the task of using the object properly.
She neatly slid the pancake spatula underneath her partially done pancake, and then lifted it and attempted to flip it over. She merely succeeded in splattering little drops of un-done batter on herself and flopping her pancake only half way over and half off of the pan.
Kagome felt someone come up from behind her and place his hand overtop of hers, "Here, let me show you." She recognized whose voice it was: Sesshomaru's. But it seemed a bit different that normal, it was gentler and kinder.
Sesshomaru guided Kagome's hand as he showed her how to correctly flip the pancake and not get batter everywhere. Kagome's cheeks were flushed the whole time he helped her in the pancake making, she also felt incompetent for not being able to do it on her own.
When they were done she placed her pancake on a plate and she sat down at the table. Sesshomaru got her out some syrup and butter and then joined her at the table. But instead of food, he puffed idly on a cigarette while he let his long sliver-white hair dry.
Miroku and Sango walked into the room right as Kagome was finishing her he last bite of pancake. Miroku noted that Sesshomaru's hair was wet, most probably from a shower. For a second he wondered if the Inu-youkai had made the food for Kagome since she probably wouldn't know how-correct that-yes, she did know how. All of the tinkering that Kagaku, Surudoi, and Kashikoi did to her made her equipped with the knowledge to make unlimited dishes, whether they be high-class or casual.
Sesshomaru looked up at Sango and Miroku, "We're leaving as soon as Inuyasha and Kouga wake. Make sure you're all ready."

Sesshomaru was going to kill Shippou very, very slowly.
The Kitsune had hooked him up with quite a nice air-ship, exactly what he had wanted. But, apparently some kids had broke in a sabotaged most of its main circuits and inter workings. Whoever had done this had completely screwed up what made the ship run, which meant it wouldn't turn on and even if it did it wouldn't do anywhere.
Kouga turned toward the two androids, "Oi, do either of you two know how to fix it?" they were all down in the mechanics room of the air-ship, trying to figure out how to get it running again.
"Iie," Sango replied, "Neither of us are programmed with air-ship mechanics information."
"Gomen," Miroku said after Sango finished.
Inuyasha growled and punched one of the metal walls; all of this was pissing him off. Why couldn't things just go smoothly for once? Why? His stress meter was pegged at the moment. After seeing Kikyou yesterday and then suddenly trekking all the way to the east side of Warui all for this piece of junk.
Kagome walked up to a large cylinder shaped thing that had two panels on the front of it. She opened the first one and started what looked like pressing buttons at random but as soon as every other one of the buttons turned red, when they had all originally been white, she opened the second panel.
The rest of the group were all half-tempted to stop her, but incase she was onto something they let her be. Who knows? The girl had been full of surprises so far, why would now be any different? She was busy plugging assorted colored wires into different holes in the panel. After a few minutes she closed both panels and then flipped a few switches that were here and there around the room.
"That should work until we have the tools to repair it properly," Kagome said with an innocent smile.
Sesshomaru climbed up the latter that lead to the main floor of the air-ship. He went to the pilot's seat and flipped the necessary switches and buttons. Sure enough, the ship started up like new. But that question that was probably on everyone's mind at that moment seriously nagged him: How in hell did she know how to fix it? Most rich girls didn't know how to clean out a closet, let alone repair an air-ship.
Just who was this girl anyway?
