Chapter 7

Sesshomaru sat cross legged on the pillow infested gazebo in his garden; absent-mindedly thinking of his plan to seduce Kagome away from that half-breed brother of his that seemed to have more of a hook on her then he had originally thought. In the background he could here Rin giggling, no doubt in his mind that those insect demons or “fairies” as Kagome had called them were playing with her. Seemed to him that Rin was as fascinated with the little nuisances as Kagome was. Surprisingly enough these past few days had been dull for this lord Sesshomaru, he wanted to Kagome again. Her soft innocent eyes that had seen things that would usually scare a human down to the core, how is it that one such as her stays so pure? Sesshomaru sat confused, thinking of what Ade had said could she be part spirit? I would explain her purity, she certainly isn't full humane with blood like that. Quickly getting to his feet he followed his nose to the botanical garden that sat on the far side of his castle. As he rounded the corner he saw Ade peacefully tending to his garden of healing herbs.

 

 

“ Ade, how would I find out if Kagome was part spirit or not?” Sesshomaru asked, his voice an underlining of wonder that Ade, in all his years of service had been trained to detect.

 

 

“ She is a pure creature that is proof enough” Sesshomaru, slightly confused, simply stared at Ade slowly making since of his words.

 

 

“There are spirits of every living thing on this earth, what kind is she?” Sesshomaru asked, if he did in fact wish to make her a demon he could not conflict with her spirit, I could kill her.

 

 

“I would need to see her to tell you that” Ade said while attending to his plants diligently. Sesshomaru studied the lion demon under much scrutiny. Thinking of a way he could possibly have Kagome here for Ade to examine, he would have to think about this later, Rin was calling him.

 

 

With that Sesshomaru turned on his heel and began walking towards the girl that was singing songs of beautiful flowers most likely picking his garden dry.

 

 

 

 

 

“ O' my god … it's so hot” Kagome said in a sluggish tone that seemed painful simply to hear. Her body was tired, sticky, hot, and sweaty and all she wanted to do right now was take a nice cold bath. The rest of the people that had nodded their head in a silent agreement were only a few steps behind her and all of them wilted like dying roses. Sango had taken her demon hunter outfit out from under her kimono and was now strapped to a bundle on her back while her sleeves were skillfully held back with a cloth. Miroku, unable to discard any of his clothing with out rendering himself nude, was walking the slowest, his body seeming to wilt more with every step. Kagome was now in a pair of jean short with a pink tang top on with matching pink and white sneakers, her finals for school were finally over and now that her uniform was not a necessity she found herself trying more styles. After much of working her ass off she had made it to high school by the skin on her teeth. And she would have to try even harder to juggle both the warring states era and her homework. But right now that didn't matter, all that mattered was that she had two and half months off for vacation and this was not how she had wanted to spend it. Kagome looked just ahead of her Inuyasha walked ahead of them both his fire rat hakama and under hakama were hanging loosely about his waist as his sweating chest glistened in the sun slightly shaded by Kagome's pack that he had taken in a gentlemanly fashion. They walked through the meadow of wheat in the burning hot sun the lack of shade making the wind as hot as the sun itself. Kagome sighed as she looked ahead seeing the distance wave before her vision like an ocean of color that begged to be swum in. Kagome looked at Inuyasha ounce again, his ears drooping with the intense heat and his shoulders stiff with the weight of the bag. Kagome watched as his muscles flexed under his smooth tan skin. Marred only by the half-heeled scar through his heart that burned from where Kikyo's arrow had hit. Inuyasha halted looking towards the west giving a deep breath he turned to the group with a weary smile,

 

 

“I smell water, its not far, we can stop and swim” everybody brightened and with a rejuvenated pace made it the small lake in no time. Kagome gasped at its beauty she looked around surveying the soft green grass, the pool which was a light green had lilies bobbing around the surface a small water fall that was attached to a stream landed softly into the water. Kagome smiled, Inuaysha had already discarded the bag and now sat waiting on a rock.

 

 

“ Did you bring it Kagome?” Miroku asked in excitement.

 

“Yeah yeah hold on” Kagome said smiling, anticipating that they may have gone swimming Kagome had volunteered to buy everyone swimsuit so they didn't have to ether get their clothes wet or swim separately in the nude. Inuyasha snorted at Miroku excitement at seeing the girls in those little things Kagome calls swimsuit though secretly he was quite excited himself. With a triumphant “found it!” from Kagome she tossed a pair of black swim trunks to Inuaysha that had a gray silhouette of a devil women on one side and No Fear written in bleeding red on the other. Inuaysha gave a small smirk of satisfaction at Kagome's taste in his style and decided that the idea of attempting to “blend in” her time may not be such a bad idea. Happy with Inuyasha's reaction Kagome turned towards Miroku and threw him a pair of white swim trunks decorated with purple flowers. Miroku gave a little sweat drop, he did like them but he was hopping for a more “bad ass”, as Kagome called it, pair like the one that Inuyasha had gotten. Kagome tossed the last pair of trunk to Shippo who's matched Miroku's except for the flowers were orange. Shippo, content with what ever he got, quickly put the shorts on a jumped in the cool water.

 

“Um, Kagome where yours and lady Sango's?” Miroku asked desperately wanting to what skimpy outfit Sango was going to be wearing while they were swimming.

 

 

“ Got them!” Kagome said while pulling a bundle of cloth out from her bag and running behind a tree.

 

 

“Were going to get dressed now so you guys can too, no peeking!” Kagome yelled.

 

“Ok Sango I know you asked for a one peace but they really don't make many of them in our size so I got you the most covering bikini I could find” Kagome said unrolling the towel that had been hiding the taboo bikinis that Kagome held. Sango gasped,

 

“Kagome I cant wear that!” Sango explained looking in near horror at the tiny little outfit that Kagome had unveiled.

 

“O' come on yes you can and you'll look great in it to” Kagome said pushing the bikini into sango's hand while she turned to put on her own. Sango looked down at the bikini in her hand she had to admit that she did like the way it looked, but it was not enough clothing! Sango ounce again looked skeptically at the bikini it had light pink boy shorts that had a small white belt that had been attached to the fabric in some modern style. While the halter top that went two inches bellow her breast and wrapped around her neck, causing her cleavage to spill every so slightly over. Sango could already feel herself begin to blush. Looking over at Kagome Sango's jaw dropped, that bikini was even smaller then hers! The bikini its self was white and was decorated with powder pink, red, purple, and green polka dots with matching bottoms. Mer strings held the “out fit” together and were neon green. Kagome looked at Sango and blushed,

 

“ Ok, so it's a little skimpy but hey its not have as bad as many of the other girls wear” Kagome said assuring herself that she looked ok.

 

“O' no Kagome it looks great I didn't mean anything bad by it” Sango said truthfully. Kagome smiled. Gathering the towels and wrapping them around themselves while folding their clothes and putting them off to the side where they could not get wet.

 

 

“Hey, how long does it take to put one of those things on?” Inuyasha yelled as he watched them come around the tree.

 

“Final….” Inuaysha stopped in mid sentence Kagome being the first one to take of her towel, Sango following her direction. Inuyasha looked at Kagome in near wonder, his eyes slowly following the path of her soft curves while Miroku gave Sango much of the same attention. Inuyasha's eyes started at Kagome's flushed face then, traveling downwards, he lingered for a second at her large perky breast that were captured in her mini bathing suite, watching as her soft breaths made her chest spill out every so slightly more. Lowering his gaze he followed the soft line from her toned abdomen further down to her shapely legs following the sway of her hips as she jumped into the water. Under the water Kagome was now smiling like and idiot, ok, so there had been some one peace's but she wanted to see Inuyasha's reaction to her bikini and boy did she like that reaction. Kagome swam to Inuaysha's kicking feet and gave one a small tug, she floated to the top coming face to face with a jealous half demon.

 

“ What in gods name are you wearing women? You look like some concubine!” Inuaysha said in a gruff voice looking disapprovingly down at Kagome's floating bosom. Kagome's good mood was shattered, he was totally staring at her and then he insults her! Kagome's brows lowered in a grim attraction to her raging eyes she could feel her chest welling with the want to yell “sit” at the top of her lungs and watch him drown. But no, Kagome's pent up breath was released and she closed her angry eyes.

 

“Whatever” Kagome said turning to swim off towards the splashing Miroku and Sango. As Kagome began to kick off she was suddenly yanked back by some one tugging on her ankle Kagome twisted her body up as she was yanked towards Inuyasha and found her self trapped against his chest enclosed his arms. Kagome felt heat rising into her face as she stared at the broad chest she was now level with.

 

“What do you mean `whatever'?” Inuyasha asked looking down on Kagome with slightly annoyed at the fact that she would leave when he was trying to talk to her.

 

 

“ I don't care what you think Inuyasha, I think I look good” Kagome said in an exasperated voice before attempting to turn away from the rude half-demon. Inuyasha playful grabbed her waist and pulled her back into his chest head resting his chin on her shoulder,

 

“Just because I said you look like a concubine doesn't mean I don't enjoy it” Inuaysha smirked as he said this, feeling Kagome's body tense for a second, picturing her shocked face in his mind. Feeling her breathing become slightly more deep and labored as her embarrassment came to an all time high. Kagome had a small shocked smile on her face he likes it!? He thinks I look good! Kagome thought as she stared down at the flowing waters that twisted and turned around her and Inuyasha's body. Suddenly Kagome felt Inuyasha's body leave hers leaving her bobbing gently in the river alone. Kagome turned to find her lost heat source gone from her sight. Quickly scanning side to side Kagome let out a screech as she was pulled under and into Inuyasha's waiting arms and pressed to Inuaysha lips. Kagome froze before succumbing to the soft kiss their mouths twisting and turning on one anther in a sacred dance slowly floating to the surface before braking into the warm air. Kagome slowly propelled herself back wards to look at Inuyasha's smiling face. She looks so beautiful like that, and way cute when she blushes Inuyasha thought as he stared at Kagome's disheveled appearance her hair a mess, lips swollen, eyes half lidded. Kagome, now extremely embarrassed by his slight, and vary sexy, smile, opened her mouth to give some retort to the action he just took. Before Kagome had a chance to udder her intended words she had a huge splash aimed at her face by the one that had just kissed her senseless. Coming up from the attack spitting and sputtering she quickly retaliated with her own wave of water. Kagome, Inuyasha, Sango, Miroku, shippo, and even Kilala continued their day splashing and frolicking through the water unbeknownst to the eyes that followed their every movement. Eyes that wished to have their most valued friend.
