Chapter 6

Kagome was now at home; her mother had nearly tackled her, tears springing from her eyes. After a long talk about how she was NOT to leave Inuyasha's sight any more and that she was so happy that she was safe and sound Kagome ounce again sat in the tub enjoying the future luxuries that she had. Kagome's thoughts turned to what happened last night between her self and Inuyasha the way that he had held her only made her crave him all the more. But, there was another more disturbing part of it was that he had even done it, was it because I had been in danger? Did he really worry about me that much? Does this mean he likes me? Kagome thought and pondered as she rose from the tub and went to her room getting the shock of her life when she saw that the vary character in her thoughts was now sitting on her bedroom floor harassing her cat in any possible way. Inuyasha looked up when Kagome entered the room seeing her in nothing more then a small white bath towel. A blush lit up his features, so he had seen her naked before but when she was staring right back at him the same embarrassed look on her face it was so much worse. Inuyasha braced himself knowing what was about to come,

 

“SIT! Sit sit sit sit sit sit sit SIT!!!” Kagome screamed at the top of her lungs completely embarrassed at her complete lack of dress in front of his gaze.

 

 

“What the hell was that for?” Inuyasha asked even though he already knew the answer to his own question.

 

 

“What are you doing in my room?!” Kagome yelled again her face turning red and her fist clenched by her side.

 

 

“Waiting for you! I only wanted to see if you were ok!” Inuyasha screamed embarrassed and pissed off. Kagome stopped suddenly; he was coming to check up on me? How sweet! Kagome thought as she walked over to her closet and picked out a simple blue summer dress. Inuyasha watched her every move, his eyes drawn to the way her hips swayed with the tempo of her walking and the way her legs slid smoothly to hold her body in a perfectly up right position that made her breast appear even more perky. Inuyasha blushed at his perverted thoughts.

 

 

“Inuyasha turn around” Kagome said firmly, waiting until she saw him completely staring at the other wall to turn around her self and let the towel drop. Inuyasha heard the towel hit the floor knowing that she had turned her back towards him he took the advantage and turned his head slightly to see her out of the corner of his eyes. Her soft skin was slightly shining with water, he looked at the curvature of her back seeing the strong and smooth muscles that flexed and moved as she did. His eyes traveled lower to look at her rear, Inuyasha blushed she has a really nice butt inuyasha thought as he stared at her heart shaped bubble butt that was slowly being covered by the white frilly panties that she was pulling on. Inuyasha watched as she continued to dress then before she turned around whipped his head back to the front. Did I just see his head move? Kagome thought to herself, as she looked suspiciously at the guilty looking half -breed. Ignoring her accusatory thoughts she grabbed her backpack from her bed and sat down to fill it with her supplies.

 

 

“Well are we ready to head back to the well?” Kagome said gathering her bag full of necessities. Inuyasha followed her as she went down stares and through the kitchen to address her mother.

 

 

“Mamma I'm leaving know” Kagome said giving her mom a soft hug.

 

 

“Are you sure that you want too go back so soon? Maybe you should take a small vacation don't you think?” Kagome's mother said not wanting to let her little girl run off again so soon.

 

 

“Mamma I will be fine I wont leave Inuyasha's sight just like you said” Kagome answered, trying to calm her mother's nerves. Leaving her mother behind Kagome and Inuyasha started towards the well Inuyasha holding her bag for her and walking slightly ahead. Ounce entering the well house Inuyasha quickly grabbed Kagome around the waist and jumped through the well landing on the other side and springing over the lip of the well. As usual Kagome was feeling slightly jealous over his demon powers as a fluffy orange blur leapt into her arms.

 

 

“Kagome! Did you bring me anything?” laughing at the Child's question she gently put Shippo down a rummaged through her bag and pulled out a small lollypop and gave it to the awaiting fox demon.

 

“Yay! Thanks Kagome!” the demon yelled as he scampered of towards the village. Kagome began to fallow the demon Inuyasha walking silently beside her. After a few minuets of silence Kagome jumped when she felt someone touch her hand, she looked down to see Inuyasha clawed hand wrapped around her own. Looking up she met his eyes a small blush coming over the bridge of his nose Kagome smiled softly a tightened her grip, she didn't know what had brought this change in him on but she defiantly liked it.

 

 

 

Sesshomaru sat alone under a tree thinking about Kagome, he was becoming obsessed! He had watched her jump through the well and watched Inuyasha fallow shortly after her. He wanted her, he knew he did, and she was not bad with Rin she would make a good mother to his pups if they ever happened to have them. Ounce again it would be fairly easy to turn her into a demon. Sesshomaru thought in silence as he devised a plan, he supposed he could just kidnap her, after all that would be the easy way out. But no, he did not want to scare her so instead he decided to attempt to seduce her after all he was said to be a vary attractive demon. He smirked at his thoughts, yes, that's what he would do at the sign of his affections, that Inuyasha never gave her, he would have her in his arms in a second.

 

 

 

Inuyasha and the gang were now walking through the forest towards a town that was said to have some demon problems as of late. Always suspicious of a jewel shard Inuyasha had ordered them in that direction and as if on cue Kagome began to feel the slight tug of the shard on her chest. The group walked into a small village, as usual people walked away from them pulling their children away from the demon and the scantily dressed women. The only reason that the people did not run in fear in the first place was because they recognized the demon slayer weapon and of course the monk that followed along side them. Going to the head leader's house they began their interrogation. Inuyasha stood outside looking at the damage the demon had caused the night before while Miroku stood inside and tried to get the full story. Kagome and Sango stood side by side as Miroku worked out where they were going to stay the night, as usual they were offered the best room in the house and free dinner for their services. When they had been settled into their room they sat in a circle as the food was served to them on individual trays of a simple dish of sushi and miso soup. Shippo sat at his try and beamed at the good food, tired of living off of grilled and usually chard fish and rabbits. They ate their meal in a delighted silence when Kagome began to feel a strong tug from a shard.

 

 

“I can feel a shard, and it's coming this way” Kagome said sensing the feel of the shard coming towards them faster and faster. Inuyasha was quickly on his feet,

 

 

“From which direction Kagome?” Inuyasha asked, prepared to fight at any moment.

 

 

“Over there!” Kagome said pointing to the side yard of the house. Inuyasha ran out and waited for the beast to enter the clearing. When he did Kagome let out a gasp, though she had seen many demons like him before she never lost her amazed disgust at their grotesque appearances. Miroku, Sango, and Kilala were now racing to Inuyasha prepared to fight beside him, Kagome soon followed Shippo clinging to her shoulder.

 

 

“ Hey, hand over the jewel shard and maybe I might be nice and let you live” Inuyasha shouted as he stood defiantly in the path of the monster.

 

 

“You have a jewel shard! I will take them from you and kill you” the monster replied his huge green arm flying with inhumane speed towards Inuyasha. Inuyasha sidestepped him before lunching himself into the air and with a swing of his sword he brought it down on the monsters shoulder ripping through the beasts flesh and bone. They demon screamed in pain before swinging his other arm into Inuyasha's side and batting him away as if a fly. Sango, then jumping into action, threw her hirokotsu at the beast hitting the demon in the throat causing him the fall to the ground, Sango caught the weapon sliding a few feet backwards upon the force of its return.

 

 

“Sango save him for me I will kill the demon” Inuyasha said his pride bruised along with the three ribs on his side. Walking over to the fallen demon he waited and watched it rise back into a fighting position. Holding his sword in front of him Inuyasha gave a shout and slammed his weapon into the ground releasing five cables of demonic energy flying towards the creature. With a thunderous scream the body of the demon evaporated into nothing. Kagome proud of heroic demon ran two his side just in time to see and wave of red blood rain down on her, Kagome stopped mid step her eye twitching with mild disgust. She looked towards Inuyasha whom was now on the ground swirls twirling comically in his eye with hands over his nose desperately trying to keep out the strong scent of blood. Great I'm gonna need another bath Kagome thought as she walked to Inuaysha and see if he was all right.

 

 

A few miles away Kagome slid into the warm water of the hot spring Inuyasha had gone first, bathing quickly and then Kagome took the second turn as Inuaysha sat far away next to a fire waiting for Kagome to complete her time consuming wash. Kagome let out a sigh as she began running soap over her body, watching the water turn slightly pink from the blood on her body. Kagome dug through her bag that sat on the bank of the spring giving a slight squeak of delight when she found her shampoo and conditioner. Kagome began thickly lathering her hair with the white cream after she finished lathering her head she dunked herself under water to wash the shampoo away, ounce emerging she arched her back into the water attempting to smooth the tangles she put into her hair when submerged.

 

“Beautiful” Kagome gave a shriek as she plunged back into the water and covered her breast twirling around to see her intruder. Sesshomaru stood angelically on the banks behind her, staring intensely at her. Kagome opened her mouth slightly as if to scream but the noise failed to appear from her throat. Sesshomaru stood slightly tense and waited for her reaction what are you doing?! Why don't you scream? Kagome yelled in her mind as she watched the demon lord with equal intensity.

 

“Sesshomaru… what are you doing?” Kagome asked her voice tense with embarrassment.

 

“Watching you” Sesshomaru responded with amusement watching as her eyes jumped from fear to confusion and embarrassment. Kagome was now completely and totally confused standing in the deep pool she slightly pondered for a moment why is he here, why don't I scream? Am I in danger, he doesn't look like he is going to hurt me. Where is Inuyasha? Sesshomaru watched as her eyes flickered with her unasked questions, stepping forward he noticed that her eyes immediately snap back to him, her arms becoming more secure around her chest.

 

 

“Where is Inuyasha?” Sesshomaru asked knowing that he was far from the tree he had been perched upon not long before.

 

“Near by” Kagome said with vigor though slightly doubting her own words. Sesshomaru lifts his head and inhales already knowing what he was going to find but does it anyway to show her that his words are no falsehood.

 

“He does not smell near by” Sesshomaru says lowering his head and meeting her eyes. Kagome was honestly not sure whether he was lying or not did he go to see kikyo? Kagome thought to herself.

 

“ He should be smart enough not to leave such a beautiful women by herself” Sesshomaru said staring heatedly at the trembling nude girl before him. Kagome was now extremely nervous not knowing what to do should I yell for Inuyasha? Will he kill me if I do? Before she could decide on her course of action Sesshomaru vanished from her gaze and only a second later felt her body being pulled from the water and at the same time wrapped in a towel. Standing before Sesshomaru trembling with the breeze that came through the forest Kagome looked up from his broad chest. She came face to face with him only to see Sesshomaru looking down at her with a twinkle in his eyes. Sesshomaru meet her eyes with a steady gaze holding her body tightly against his chest, painfully aware of her ripe breast that were now pushed against his chest. Kagome was in shock then snapping back to the fact that the love of her life's enemy was now holding onto her, in a towel no less, began attempting to pull away. Sesshomaru felt her begin to lean away from him and tightened his grip on her waist. Feeling his tightening grip Kagome began to panic, pushing on his chest she struggled to get away becoming even more frantic at the fact the she could not push his large body from hers. Fear filling her mind Kagome swung her hand as hard as she could, landing a slap on the side of the demon lord's face. Sesshomaru shocked that she would dare raise a hand to him became instantly furious gripping her arms painfully tight he crushed her against his chest a deep vicious growl climbing in his throat.

 

“I will warn you ounce that you will never strike me, is that understood?” Sesshomaru said his voice deep and dangerous. Kagome was painfully aware of the angry edge that his usually cold tone held, his stance becoming more rigid and tense. A dog demon's nature being to dominate over ones mate Sesshomaru was now having trouble restraining his need to punish her for her insolence. Becoming more enraged at his own weakness at not wanting to hurt the week female Sesshomaru grabbed Kagome's hand a bit the side of her palm hard enough to cause Kagome to shriek in surprise and pain. Kagome watched as tiny droplets of blood formed from the neat pinpricks on her palm. Looking at the demon before her she became nervous as she saw his eyes change to red. Her blood is intoxicating Sesshomaru thought immediately knowing that Kagome was not fully human. He would investigate his findings later, he could smell Inuyasha coming this way, grabbing Kagome he crushed his mouth to hers, savoring his first kiss with the innocent girl. He felt her stiffen beneath him her warm lips sealed tight against his passion until Sesshomaru slowly sliding his tongue over her bottom lip retrieving passage into her mouth. Sesshomarus lips locked even tighter on Kagome's, the kiss turning to one of heated passion as Kagome's timid mouth began to explore Sesshomarus. Sesshomaru heard the trees rustle and knew it was Inuyasha coming this way having no doubt smelt him by know. Before Kagome knew Sesshomaru had leapt away from her leaving her standing slightly on he tiptoes kissing the air. Just then inuyasha arrived bursting threw the forest,

 

“Kagome! Are you ok?” inuyasha yelled his voiced filled with worry. Kagome sat stunned for a moment her fingers coming up to lightly touch her swollen red lips. I can't believe he kissed me! I can't believe I kissed him back! Where the hell was Inuyasha?! New anger filling her mind Kagome whirled on the unsuspecting demon

 

“Where were you!” Kagome yelled upset that he had not come to her “aid” sooner.

 

“I was… I was… I was…um” Inuaysha stumbled over his words, trying to think of a way to explain the fact that he had ran off to see Kikyo and possibly rune all of the romantic headway he had made with Kagome, well headway for him at least. But Kagome already knew where he had been, a mixture of hurt, rage and embarrassment burned its way deep inside of her body. Inuyasha watched as her body tensed and her face turned into an interesting array of red shades before she finally gave a deep breath and sighed letting her shoulders fall in defeat. Still in her towel Kagome walked over to the kimono that had been borrowed from the villager's daughter.

 

“Turn around Inuyasha” Kagome said in a somewhat sad tone Inuyasha, obeying her orders, promptly turned around and stared at the forest. He knew that Sesshomaru had been there, he had come as fast as he could as soon as he smelt Sesshomarus sent on the changing winds. He didn't hear a scream nor did Kagome appear to be in harm. Though he did not know exactly what a transpired between the two of them he did know that Kagome's sent had changed to a soft spicy sent her lips that were swollen and flushed cheeks maid it fairly clear. Though Inuyasha was not well versed in matters of mating he was not ignorant. If you touched her Sesshomaru I will kill you Inuyasha thought dangerously to him self as he waited for Kagome to turn around.

 

 

 

 

After bathing and changing into her fresh kimono Kagome and the tired group laid down to sleep. Kagome sighed as she watched the slumbering faces of her friends wondering what they were dreaming, laying awake in bed thoughts plaguing her mind kept her restless. Why in the world is Inuyasha suddenly being so close? And why would Sesshomaru have any romantic interest in me? What happened between Inuyasha and Kikyo this time? Kagome sighed and snuggled deeper into her bed the sleeping fox demon shifting next to her, sensing his foster mothers distresses. Inuyasha sat at the far corner his ears perking ever so slightly at Kagome's soft noise he looked in her direction her eyes now closed in her attempt to sleep. The idea of brothers fighting against each other for the same female in the demon world was not uncommon but Inuyasha never thought that he would have competition against Sesshomaru. Inuyasha never thought that Sesshomaru would be interested in a human, and even if he were he would have expected him to simply force the women away and have Inuyasha and him fight for the right to mate. But, to Inuyasha immense surprise, he seems to be going for a seduction approach something that Inuyasha's mother had described as romance in stories of princesses and princes when he was a child. Focusing ounce again on Kagome's slumbering face Inuyasha thought to him self I love her, Sesshomaru and it will be a fight if you expect me to let her go.
