Kagome woke feeling warm and safe the strong arm that hung over her waist squeezed gently signifying that the person knew that she was awake. Smiling gently Kagome turned to lay on her side facing the strong lean chest.

 

“Morning” Inuyasha said kissing the top of her head softly letting a long yawn out.

 

“Good morning” Kagome letting out an answering yawn followed by a catlike stretch. Kagome looked up into Inuyasha's eyes, the molten gold that could melt any heart, and smiled. Inuyasha slowly leaned in letting his arm tighten around her waist ounce again lowering his mouth gently to hers.

Inuyasha jumped about a foot in the air as Kagome sat straight up in bed only to see the bunny eared Akina coming through the door. Looking up at the noise of shifting sheets Akina dropped the stack of towels that she held in her hand her face becoming flushed with embarrassment.

 

“Um, sorry!” Akina nearly shouted as she turned and walked quickly through the door. It was vary improper for an unmated woman to be sleeping in the same bed as a man! A man that was the brother of the demon courting her no less, Akina moved quickly to the library she needed to tell lord Sesshomaru of this turn of events as quickly as possible.

 

 

O my god! How embarrassing! Kagome thought to her self still sitting up straight in shock and staring and the deserted doorway. A heavy arm dropped onto her lap

 

 

“What the hell. Does she just waltz in here every morning like that” Inuyasha asked rubbing his head where he had bummed it. Kagome sat still not bothering to answer his question. Turning her head she looked at him her face flushed worse then tomato.

 

 

“Inuyasha maybe you should go” Kagome said, it wasn't that she was ashamed to be seen with him after all she loved him. But, if she loved him so much the why was the first thing that popped through her head is what Sesshomaru would think of this. Inuyasha looked somewhat hurt but stood and gathered his clothes anyway, turning to the door to leave.

 

“Inuyasha!” Kagome said loudly causing the retreating half-demon to turn around. Making a come-hither motion with her hand Kagome flashed a flirtatious smile at him. Smiling back inuyasha eagerly jumped on the laughing Kagome kissing her passionately before bounding out of the room.

 

 

 

Akina bounded through the door of the study that Sesshomaru currently occupied.

 

“My lord” Akina said coming to stand in front of the desk bowing deeply.

 

“Yes, Akina what is it?” Sesshomaru said without looking up from the document that he was reading, an invitation to the demon courts of Europe.

 

“I went to lady Kagome's rooms to service her this morning and found her laying next to your half-brother Inuyasha” Akina could smell the furious fumes radiating off him in waves and was beginning to regret coming to tell him. Sesshomaru was not always aware of who he hurts in his anger.

 

Akina jumped away in the nick of time as Sesshomaru flung his mahogany desk violently in the air racing out of his room and down he hall towards Inuyasha's Kagome covered sent.

 

 

Inuyasha was suddenly pushed hard into the stone wall of the castle. He already knew it was Sesshomaru. Inuyasha shoved himself violently from that wall and turned to face Sesshomaru.

 

“What the hell are you doing Sesshomaru?”

 

“I won't let you have her inuyasha you do not deserve her”

 

Inuyasha was seething, just those few words that summed up that vary feelings that he shared burned their way deep into his angered heart.

 

“Fuck you Sesshomaru, what have you done for her? Nothing! You have never done anything but attempt to hurt her or her friends”

 

“And what of you brother, all you have done is shove her aside as you lusted after a disgusting corpse” anger finally blinding his vision Inuyasha launched him self at his brother whom easily batted him away as if a fly. Inuyasha's vision turned increasingly red as he felt his demon side take hold. He didn't have tetsiga with him his demon blood demanded to be set free. Snarling in rage Inuyasha's body changed. Purple lightning mark appearing on his soft cheeks his red eyes flaring brightly the turquoise pupil growing small with anger. Sesshomaru let his demon blood flow the ache for his true form to show to great to bear. His clothes began to tear as his body morphed into that if an animal.

 

“Stop!” a scream ripped through the air as a force ripped through the air that robbed both Sesshomaru and Inuyasha of their powers. Sesshomaru slowly grew back to human form his tail wound around his nude body for some form of modesty. Inuyasha was panting hard not used to the massive adrenaline that pierced his body with the change.

 

Sesshomaru turned towards Kagome whom looked slightly faint. Jumping towards her he caught her before her trembling body hit the ground. The power she had expelled was not one of a priestess but of a spirit. Sesshomaru looked towards inuyasha whom was walking slightly towards them scooping up Kagome's body while ignoring Sesshomaru's jealous growl.
