Chapter # 7
I Love You Kagome.

She hadn’t been to school the week after that. And she hadn’t let Inu-Niichan in when he came the day that Kikyo had been there. And she kept wondering.

Why was it always Kikyo who made her life hell? Why was it that she always took it? Or…until now. Why had she attacked Kikyo like that? Was it because Inuyasha had been there and she didn’t want to seem like she was weak?

Why did she care if Inuyasha thought she was weak? She didn’t like him…did she? Possibly love him?

But, she wouldn’t worry about that. Her concert was tomorrow anyways. Tomorrow after school. So she had to be on her best.

There was a knock on her door but she ignored it. And continued to sit at the head of her bed, her hugging her knees. Tears were rolling down her face when the door opened. And the last person in the world she expected to be there walked in.

“Kagome?” he whispered.
“What are you doing here?” she asked quietly. Obviously not wanting him to see her crying.
“I was worried. You didn’t come too school today. I thought I might be able to help. If possible.” he said, sitting in front of her. “What’s wrong?”
“Nothing.”
“What’s wrong Kagome?”
“I told you nothing.”
“I know something’s wrong. Please I want to help.”
“Well you can’t.” she snapped. And he gave her a hurt look.
“You know you can tell me. Don’t you trust me?”
“Inu-Niichan.” she hissed.

Then it hit her, Inuyasha and Inu-Niichan. The first three letters were the same! That can’t be a coincidence. She decided she’d toy with him a bit.

“Why would you care?” she snapped at him, glaring at him.
“What’s with the sudden defence?”
“Why do you care?”
“Cuz I like you Kagome.” he said that before he could stop himself.

Now she was sure that he couldn’t be Inuyasha. Inuyasha wouldn’t say that. She knew that there was no way he could be Inuyasha. He was too nice anyways.

She felt a little better after that. And decided it might be okay to tell him.

“Well. I didn’t see that one coming.” she muttered.
“Hmm. A lot of people wouldn’t have seen that coming. At least not from me anyways.”
“Why wouldn’t they expect that from you? You seem nice enough.”
“I’ve got girl issues.” he even hated to admit it in his head, let alone out loud.
“What guy doesn’t?” she asked.
“No you don’t get it. I promised myself I wouldn’t like another girl as long as I lived.”

Kagome knew she’d heard that before.

“Who was she?”
“Kikyo.” his eyes went wide. And he looked everywhere but her.
“I thought you didn’t know Kikyo.” Kagome said, eyeing him suspiciously. Something wasn’t right, and she knew it.

“Well…that was a lie. I knew her quiet well actually. I just…hate to admit it.”
“I hate to admit she’s my cousin.”
“I thought you guys looked similar. But it’s obvious whose better looking.”
“Yeah I know. I get that a lot. Especially from Kikyo’s many boyfriends.”
“No I meant you. But how many does she have?”
“Last time I checked it was like….6 on the go at once.”
“Damn.” Inu-Niichan whispered. Looking shocked.
“I know. She’s a total whore.” He shrugged.
“Yeah. That’s kind of obvious now.”
“Who are you?” she whipped his head towards her. “What?”
“Who are you?” Her gaze looked like it was trying to see into his soul or something.
“What are you talking about?”
“You’re not the same person who took me out on a date last month. You’re not the same person I sang with. You’re not the person who accepted the contract deal, and you’re not the same person I’m going to be singing with tomorrow night. You’re acting completely different.”
“What are you talking about?” he repeated, standing up. “Are you sure you’re not crazy?”
“What are you talking about!?” she repeated him standing up as well. Neither one noticed the group standing in the door way.
“You’re saying I’m too different people!” he snapped. “Well who wouldn’t think you’re two different people!? You look like Inuyasha! Just different hair color and different eye color!”
“So what if I look like him! Doesn’t mean I am him!”
“How do I know you’re not wearing coloured contacts? Or a wig?”
“Why the hell would I wear something as stupid as that!?”
“Ah ha!” she yelled, pointing at him.
“What!?”
“You just said the exact same thing Inuyasha said when Sango told him to wear something!” “So!? Everyone says that!”
“Not the same way, same volume in their voice and not in the same amount of anger either!” he’d worry about why she knew how loud his voice was, the way he said it, and how angry he was later. Right now he had bigger problems.

“Would you stop yelling at me!?”
“I will when you tell me who you really are!”
“I’m Inuyasha alright!?” he yelled. Glaring daggers at her. “Happy now?” he growled. And she looked shocked. Stepping back a few steps. And gaped.

“Really? Then take off that damn wig.”
“It’s not a wig.” he muttered, “What? If you’re really Inuyasha then you’re hair was silver last time I saw it.”
“So? I’m…different.”
“Obviously.”
“W hat’s that supposed to mean!?”
“I mean you’re still wearing a wig and you think it’s not a wig.” she stepped forwards and yanked his hair.
“Oww, Oww, Oww!” he yelled grabbing her hands. “Let go damn it!” Kagome yanked her hands away and gasped. “Good god it’s real!”
“I told you!” “H-How’s that p-possible?” Kagome stuttered.

Inuyasha sighed, grabbing the necklace around his neck yanked it off his head. And his normal hair color returned along with his no-longer-hidden dog ears.

“Oh my god….are those…dog ears?” she whispered, staring wide eyed at the fuzzy triangles on the top of his head.
“Yeah.”
“Are they real?” he felt like rolling his eyes, but instead just wiggled them and she squeaked.
“What are you!?” she yelled. Backing away. That’s the same reaction Kikyo had. He thought sadly.
“I’m…” he sighed. “I’m a half-demon, Kagome.” he whispered, looking away.
“A…w-what?” she asked. Not taking her eyes off him.
“I’m a half-demon.”
“Demons are real?”
“Yeah.”
“And you’re half-demon?” he winched slightly.
“Yeah.”
“And you’re also Inu-Niichan?”
“Yeah.”
“Was that the human or demon half? Are you even half human?”
“Yeah I’m half human. And he was the human half.”
“And you’ve been…lying to me?” he hesitated at that one.
“Y-Yeah, I have.”
“Why? Why did you lie to me!?”
“Because I knew you’d act this way!” he yelled. “And I didn’t want anyone to know I could sing! I’m not supposed to be good at that kind of stuff!”
“But you still lied to me!”
“So!?”
“So not wanting anyone to know you have a great singing voice isn’t a good enough reason! Give me a good reason! Why’d you lie to me!?”
“I did it because I love you!” he yelled it. His golden eyes hot with anger. And she could still she the love in his eyes, that she hadn’t noticed before.
“W-what?”
“I love you Kagome.” he swallowed the lump in his throat. “I loved you sense I saw you. Even if I did act like a jerk. I can’t help it. It’s the way I am. And I didn’t want to tell you, because I was afraid.”
“Afraid?”
“Yes afraid.” he threw his hands up and laughed hysterically. “I was afraid you’d laugh, and turn away. Just like Kikyo.”
“Well I’m not Kikyo.”
“I know that! But that doesn’t mean you won’t turn and leave me. I know how people react when they find out I’m a half-breed. Why do you think I kept it from you?”
“What about everyone else?”
“Huh?”
“Sango. Miroku, Koga, Sesshomaru, Rin, Ayame!? They don’t hate you!”
“That’s because I grew up with them! And they’ve gotten used to me. People who don’t know me hate me for no reason! Other then the fact that I’m half!”
“Just….Just leave.” she whispered, turning away from him. Just like he said she would.
“What?”“Leave. Now.”
“Kagome….I¾”
“I said leave!” she yelled, not turning back to him. And he winched.
“I knew it.” he whispered. “Even if you’re nicer then everyone on the outside. You’re just the same as them on the inside. Just the same as Kikyo.” and he saw her winch. He knew it had been a cheep shot. But he had taken it anyways.

With that said, he stormed through the small group watching them, and left the house. Not bothering to look back when he felt her eyes on his retreating form. Just continued to walk down those shrine steps, and out of her life forever. Though, just that thought drove him crazy.

“Kagome…” Sango whispered. And she took a step forward.
“Just, please leave me alone for a while.”
“Alright.” she turned to everyone. “Guys lets go.”

When they were almost to the stairs, Miroku turned and went back to Kagome’s room, everyone running after him, trying to get him to come back and leave her alone.

“How can you do that to him!?” Miroku yelled at Kagome. Standing behind her. “How could you?”
“How could I what Miroku?”
“He loved you! Don’t you see that!? Do you know how hard it is for him to admit that to himself, let alone the person that love was directed to!?”
“No I don’t.”
“It took him 3 years to tell Kikyo that he loved her! And now that he meet you, found out that you weren’t a bad person he said it to you in a matter of months! And you throw it back in his face!”
“Miroku. Leave her alone!” Sango yelled. “No! She needs to hear this!” He said, his eyes held more anger then Sango had ever seen before.

“He’s a good guy Kagome. Despite the way he acts. And he’s been hurt, so many time. And you just hurt him more.”
“You think I tried to hurt him?”
“Well you sure as hell didn’t try to help him!”
“I need time!” she yelled, turning to him, unshed tears welling up, spilling gently down her cheeks and fire in her eyes. “I need time god damn it!”
“Why!?”
“Because I knew that I liked both sides that I knew. The human and half-demon. I just didn’t know they were the same person! Now I find out that not only was he Inu-Niichan but he’s half-demon too!¾”
“Oh so now that you know he’s not human you use it against him!?”
“No! I just don’t know how I feel about him!” she yelled, pushing him back. “I know I like him, I just don’t know if I love him yet. I just need some time to think alright!?”
“Well…I…uh…”
“ Forget it. But could you tell him I’m sorry? Or at least tell him I just need to think.” She looked away again. “I never meant to hurt him.” she said, more tears leaking over.

Sango rushed in and hugged the girl as she cried. “We’ll tell him. Okay. But he needs to hear you’re sorry from you.”
“I know. Please don’t be mad at me. I’m just really confused.”
“We know. We’ll make sure that he doesn’t stay mad.”
“Thank you.” Kagome hugged Sango gently. “But could you guys leave me alone for a while? Please?”
“Of coarse.” Sango moved away from Kagome. “Guys, lets go.” sending a frosty glare at Miroku she walked out. And Miroku gulped.

He growled to himself as he stormed down the street and into his house. Thankfully his father wasn’t home. Or so he thought.

He stomped up the stairs, into his room and slammed the door behind him.

Flopping himself down on his bed, staring at the ceiling a image of Kagome popped up in his head.

“Damn it.” he muttered, rolling over. “Why me huh? I didn’t even realize I love her until I said it.”
“Love who?” someone said at the door way, Inuyasha jumped a little.
“Dad?”
“Yeah. Now who do you love?”
“Ah…no one.”
“Then I’m going to have to assume that you’ve gone crazy and this girl is imaginary.”
“Kagome is not imaginary!” he snapped, and he realized he just fell into his father’s trap. “Damn it.” he muttered again, burying his face in his pillows.
“Ah. Now whose Kagome?”
“Just some girl dad.” came his muffled reply.
“Apparently a girl you love.”
“Yeah and she just threw it back in my face.” he growled lifting his head.
“Why is that?”
“Because I’m a half-breed.”
“Well that can’t be why!” his father yelled.
“It always is dad.” and Inuyasha’s cell phone went off. Pressing speaker he answered it.
“What?” he yelled into it.
“Kagome’s not disgusted!” Sango yelled
“What?”
“She said she needed time to think! You would need time to think to if she had come right out and said she loved you!”
“Yeah well that’s not the point! She still hates me!”
“She doesn’t hate you! She’s just mad because you lied to her!”
“You lied to her?” his father asked suddenly. Sending his son a weird look.
“Is that your father?” Sango asked.
“Yeah.” Inuyasha said, you could hear that he was rolling his eyes.
“Hi!” Sango said happily.
“Hello Sango. Please continue.”
“Gladly.” there was some noise in the background and the sound of someone getting slapped. “Miroku spazed out at her. And she explained that she never wanted to hurt you. Even if she did. She just needed time to think. She wanted us to tell you she’s sorry.”
“A lot of good that does.”
“Please don’t be mad at her. Just, let her think. She’ll probably ignore you at school. But don’t be mad at her. Please don’t be mad at her.” “Are you begging Sango?”
“Yes I am damn it! You need to understand. She’s just a little confused. Give her time.”
“Alright. But if you say time once more.”
“Time.” Sango laughed. And Inuyasha groaned loudly. “Alright. Get some sleep. I’ll see you tomorrow.”
“Alright, Alright. Later.”
“Later.”

The Next Day At School.

Inuyasha watched her out of the corner of his eye. And saw that she was staring out the window. Seeming to be deep in thought.

He knew what she was probably thinking about. And he thought that maybe he shouldn’t have told her that he loved her without thinking it threw. But hell, he hadn’t know completely until he blurted it out! He couldn’t help that.

He was just as confused as he knew she probably was. And it didn’t help that Sango, Miroku, Sesshomaru, Koga, Rin and Ayame were breathing down his neck, keeping him from going over to her too soon. And messing things up. He probably messed this up too.

But was he supposed to just let everyone know that he ¾Inuyasha Nagasaki¾ could sing? How embarrassing would that be? No. He couldn’t let the people of this school know that he could sing…or that he had fallen for someone after the whole school knew that he promised he wouldn’t.

He had fallen fast, and really, really hard.

But how was he supposed to stop the way he felt? It’s not like he had complete control over his emotions. Sure he didn’t let them show, which meant that no one knew he felt things other then anger, and annoyance. He wasn’t Sesshomaru.

He continued to watch her, as she sighed heavily. And he couldn’t help but feel guilty about it. Maybe he had rushed things a little to fast.

A elbow to his ribs stopped those thoughts dead in it’s tracks.

“What the hell was that for?” he hissed at Koga.
“If you stare to long, and she catches you, you’re fucked.” “Huh?”
“Don’t stare at her. Give her time.” Sango said.
“You say time-”
“I know. You’ll kick my ass.” Sango muttered. “But she still needs it.

That Night, At The Concert.

“Ah shit, I forgot the concert was tonight.” Inuyasha groaned as he paced in his dressing room.

“Relax Yash. It’s not that bad.” Koga said as he sat on Inuyasha’s couch.

Someone knocked and Inuyasha quickly slipped the necklace over his head and motioned for Koga to open it.

A women about her mid twenties stood there. Long blonde hair down to her mid back, and bright blue eyes.
“Uh…hello.” she said politely. “I’m Ms.Higurashi personal assistant.”
“Can I help you? You’re not lost are you?” Koga asked. “No, not at all. Ms.Higurashi sent me down her. Told me to tell Mr.Takahashi that she would be a little late to night, and that he could start without her. It seems that the dress she had ordered for the concert has yet to arrive.”
“Well. Thanks.” Koga said, closing the door. “Hasn’t arrived my ass.” Inuyasha snapped. He started pacing again.
“Relax man.” Koga muttered. “We’re all here. Hell, even Sess is here.”
“Well…I guess that’s an improvement.”
“Yeah!” Koga said happily. And a loud voice boomed over the speaker.
“Mr.Takahashi.” it said. And Koga winched. Inuyasha was slightly glad that he didn’t have demonic hearing at the moment. “You’re on in 5 minutes.”

“Alright. You ready?” Koga asked. Inuyasha nodded. “Then lets go.”

There was an un-natural amount of people packed into the stadium. And it made Inuyasha uneasy just staring out at them. He hoped that some kami was listening to him, he prayed that he wouldn’t make a fool of himself. But, seeing as it was him, he probably would. He always made a fool out of himself in the worst kinds of situations. And this would be the worst of the worst.

Gulping he took the mic that Miroku handed him. And Miroku smiled a little. Patting his back. “Don’t worry. Well make sure you can see us if you look over, alright. Just look to either side. I don’t know which one we’ll be on. Alright?” Inuyasha nodded and smiled at Miroku.
“Thanks man. You can’t know how much it means to me, that you’re even here to begin with.”
“Hey! I wouldn’t miss this for the world! Hell, if I was in a coma before this concert I’d have Sango wheel me in here anyways.” Inuyasha laughed and thanked Miroku for trying to lighten him up. Though Inuyasha was sure that he’d still do it anyways.

“Alright Mr.Takahashi. This was please.” someone said as they led him to the stage. He looked back at Miroku who winked at him. And he nodded.

He was going to sing the one song that Miroku had written for him. It had been written even though Inuyasha hadn’t known how he felt. And he was thankful that Miroku wrote it anyways. Despite how sappy it might be.

“Hello everyone!” the announcer yelled over the speakers. “Here’s Inu-Niichan Takahashi for you!” and the crowd roared and cheered and clapped.

Inuyasha stepped out onto the stage as the curtain went up. And smiled at the crowd.
“Hello everybody!” he yelled into the mic. They cheered more. “It’s great to be here. Sorry but Kagome won’t be joining me until a little later. Her dress hasn’t arrived yet.” Though that’s probably a lie. he thought. “But I’m gonna sing you one to start off with. Alright with you?” and to approve the crowd screamed. “I’ll take that as a yes.” He said.
“Well, before we get this started. I’d like to dedicate this song to a special someone who I hope doesn’t hate me at the moment.” he looked around and saw that everyone had gone quiet. “Well, lets hope she’s listening. This one’s for Kagome Higurashi!” he smiled, and the music started.

“I shouldn't love you but I want to
I just can't turn away
I shouldn't see you but I can't move
I can't look away.”

“And I don’t know how to be fine when I'm not, cause I don't know how to make the feelings stop.”

The crowd was being abnormally quiet for concerts. It was either that, or Inuyasha’s voice was echoing so loud that it just drowned everyone else’s out.

“Just so you know
this feelings takin control
of me and I can't help it
I wont sit around
I can't let him win now
thought you should know
I've tried my best to let go of you
but I don't want to
I just gotta say it all before I go
just so you know.”

“It's getting hard to
be around you
there’s so much I can't say
and do you want me to hide the feelings
and look the other way?”

Inuyasha looked to his right and saw Miroku, Ayame, Sesshomaru and Rin standing there, smiling at him. He smiled back.

“and I don’t know how to be fine when I'm not cause I don't know how to make the feelings stop.”

“Just so you know
this feelings takin control
of me and I can't help it
I wont sit around
I can't let him win now
thought you should know
I've tried my best to let go of you
but I don't want to
I just gotta say it all before I go
just so you know.”

Looking to his left he saw Sango. He thought it was a little strange that she was standing there all by her self. Why isn’t she with everyone else? He thought.

“This emptiness is killin me
I'm wonderin why I've waited so long
lookin back I realize it was always there just never spoken.
Now I'm waitin here
been waitin here.”

He looked back at Sango when he saw her wave at him hysterically out of the corner of his eye. He saw her pull something out fro behind the curtain. And he saw Kagome standing there too. His eyes went wide for a minute. Never leaving hers. There were a million emotions swimming in her gorgeous chocolate brown eyes. He gulped a little when she smiled weakly at him.

“Just so you know
this feelings takin control
of me and I can't help it
I wont sit around
I can't let him win now
thought you should know
I've tried my best to let go of you
but I don't want to
I just gotta say it all before I go
just so you know.”

The music died down and the crowd screamed. He smiled at them. And motioned with his head for Kagome to come out on the stage with him. She smiled and nodded.

“Kagome Higurashi everybody!” he yelled into the mic, stretching his hand out to her, which she more then willingly took. And he felt his heart rate pick up.

“Hey everybody!” Kagome said into a mic of her own. Now when did she get that mic? Inuyasha wondered. “If it wouldn’t be too much trouble, I’d like it if Inu-Niichan let me sing this next song on my own?” she asked, sending him a glance.
“Of coarse.” he said, kissing her hand lightly before walking off towards the rest of the group. Realizing that Sango was once again with them.

“Well. I think I should get this started.” Kagome said, a light blush staining her cheeks. “I’d like to dedicate this song to someone, actually, two people who just recently made their way so deep into my heart that I’m sure their never gonna leave it.” she winked at Inuyasha when she turned towards him. “This song out to Inu-Niichan Takahashi.” and Inuyasha flinched, fearing that was the only part of him she liked.
“And Inuyasha Nagasaki!” she yelled. And the crowd screamed. They all knew who both these men were.

Inuyasha stared at her with wide eyes for a while. Sure she hadn’t exactly said that she loved him, but hell. It was a start. That’s when he heard the music start playing.

“Why does the color of my coffee match your eyes?
Why do I see you when a stranger passes by?
I swear I hear you in the whisper of the wind
I feel you when the sun is dancin' on my skin
And, when it's raining
You won't find me complainin', 'cause…”

“When I think about rain
I think about singing
When I think about singing
It's a heavenly tune
When I think about Heaven
Then I think about angels
When I think about angels
I think about you.”

He smiled a little as he watched her. He had seen her look at him from the corner of her eyes quiet a lot. And he knew that the crowd could probably tell that she wasn’t completely focusing on them. She was, just not too much.

“The taste of sugar sure reminds me of your kiss
I like the way that they both linger on my lips
Kisses remind me of a field of butterflies
Must be the way my heart is fluttering inside
Beautiful distraction
You make every thought a chain reaction.”

That made him remember when he had turned towards her a little too fast one time, and had accidentally kissed her. He realized that she wasn’t completing either. He also noticed that everyone was staring at him, and he knew they had seen his blush.

“When I think about rain
I think about singing
When I think about singing
It's a heavenly tune
When I think about Heaven
Then I think about angels
When I think about angels
I think about you.”

“Anywhere I go
Anything I do
Everything around me, baby
Makes me think of you.”

He was somewhat glad to know that even before he said he loved her, that he was always on her mind anyways. At least he wasn’t the only one who thought of someone constantly.
“When I think about rain
I think about singing
When I think about singing
It's a heavenly tune
When I think about Heaven
Then I think about angels
When I think about angels
I think about you.”

“When I think about rain
I think about singing
When I think about singing
It's a heavenly tune
When I think about Heaven
Then I think about angels
When I think about angels
I think about you.”

The song ended after that. And he hadn’t realized Kagome was looking at him until she smiled. And his gaze was instantly drawn to her lips. Making her smile brighten.
“Come on out her Inu-Niichan.” she said happily, and with a nod, he walked out towards her. Smiling brightly.

Leaning down he kissed her cheek.
“I didn’t know I was on you mind so much.” he whispered in her ear.
“Nether did I.” she smiled smiling. “Beautiful song.” she said.
“I could say the same for yours.” he whispered back, before pulling away.

“Alright. Well. Here’s the next song!” they said at the same time. And the music started again.

“We talk about your work how your boss is a jerk
We talk about your church and your head when it hurts
We talk about the troubles you've been having with your brother
About your daddy and your mother and your crazy ex-lover
We talk about your friends and the places that you've been
We talk about your skin and the dimples on your chin
The polish on your toes and the run in your hose
And God knows we're gonna talk about your clothes
You know talking about you makes me smile
But every once in awhile.” Kagome started, smiling at him.

“I wanna talk about me
Wanna talk about I
Wanna talk about number one
Oh my me my
What I think, what I like, what I know, what I want, what I see
I like talking about you, you, you, you, usually, but occasionally
I wanna talk about meeeeee
I wanna talk about me.” They sang together. Smiling at each other and the crowd.

“We talk about your dreams and we talk about your schemes
Your high school team and your moisturizer crème
We talk about your nanna up in Muncie, Indiana
We talk about your grandma down in Alabama
We talk about your guys of every shape and size
The ones that you despise and the ones you idolize
We talk about your heart, bout your brains and your smarts
And your medical charts and when you start.” Inuyasha sang, and Kagome’s face went red at the last one. Making him mentally laugh.

“You know talking about you makes me grin
But every now and then.”

“I wanna talk about me
Wanna talk about I
Wanna talk about number one
Oh my me my
What I think, what I like, what I know, what I want, what I see
I like talking about you, you, you, you, usually, but occasionally
I wanna talk about me.” They were singing It together now. And Kagome was smiling again.

“You, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you,

I wanna talk about ME!”

“I wanna talk about me
Wanna talk about I
Wanna talk about number one
Oh my me my
What I think, what I like, what I know, what I want, what I see
I like talking about you, you, you, you, usually, but occasionally
I wanna talk about meeeeee.”

“I wanna talk about me
I wanna talk about me.”

By the end they were almost laughing. They didn’t know who wrote that song, but they’d find out later and thank them for it.

The rest of the concert went by smoothly but when Inuyasha had gone back down to his dressing room, he sawa note on his dresser. Shrugging he picked it up and unfolded it.

Dear Inuyasha,

You probably think I hate you now, don’t you? Well. I hope you don’t. For what I can tell Sango’s already told you a million times that I need time. And despite the songs I might sing tonight, I still need it. I know I like you, but I don’t know if I love you yet. Yet. Just please give me a chance to think this through. I don’t want to jump into something that I might not be ready for.
Please don’t me mad, because it’s really not you it’s me. And I know how that makes it sound like it’s entirely you. But please believe me when I say it’s not.
As I said before. I don’t want to jump into something I’m not ready for. And if I do it might hurt you more then it would if I just turned you away.

Please understand. And don’t be mad if I stay away from you and the guys for a while. Please don’t be mad at me.

Signed,
Kagome.

P.S. Don’t take any offence to this. It’s not cuz you’re half-demon. I really don’t have anything against them. I was just shocked that you were part demon. I didn’t even know they were real. You’re still my favourite hanyou!

He laughed through the sadness at the last part. He was the only hanyou she knew, or…as far as he knew. But it was still good to know that he was her favourite.

Folding the paper back up he got changed, and put it in his pocket before leaving his dressing room and walking down the hall to Kagome’s.

Knocking he waited, and waited, and waited, until he realized that she wasn’t here.

Opening the door slowly he saw another note on the dresser. This one also addressed to him.
“What the hell?” he muttered.

Dear Inuyasha,

First of all. What are you doing in my dressing room? Second as you can obviously see, I’m not here. I left when you were singing the last song. Sorry. I just don’t think I could stand being with you or the guys right now. Nothing personal. Again, don’t be mad. I’m sure I said that enough before. But don’t be mad.

I’ll see you sometime soon…hopefully, if I can get my head on straight,

Kagome.

“Damn her and her notes.” Inuyasha muttered before stuffing that one in his pocket and leaving to find the guys.

This was going to be a long wait.
