Chapter 3- Marking- Not Mating- Just Marking

 

 

“Mmh,” Kagome moaned in her sleep. Her pleasant dreams were transforming into something odd.

 

*Kagome's dream.*

 

She stood at a crossroad. If you were to ask her how she got there, she would reply with an “I have always been here.”

 

On one side of the crossroads was a thunderstorm. On the other was a white dog. Kagome stood there on the path leading to the crossroads. Taking a deep breath, she takes a step.

 

*end dream*

 

Kagome opened her eyes to see the top of Hiten's head. `Huh?' she thought sleepily. He closed her eyes and was near sleep when she realized what she saw.

 

Kagome gasped at the position she and Hiten were in. It seems somehow during the night, Hiten fell asleep next to her. And somehow, Kagome grabbed him and pulled her closer to her; ending with his face right against her full breasts.

 

“Hentai!” Kagome screamed, slapping Hiten. That was a rude awakening for the thunder youkai and he sat up and growled at her. Before Kagome could scold him, she noticed something about him.

 

“Come here.” Kagome commanded. Hiten scoffed at her, but had to comply when she grabbed him by his long braid and yanked him closer.

 

Kagome examined his long obsidian colored hair. It was becoming duller and losing its luster. She forcefully raised his chin. Hooking her thumbs under his jaw, she painfully twisted his head around as she studied his crimson eyes, and his paling skin.

 

“Hiten, what's the matter with you?” Kagome cried as Hiten seemed to deteriorate before her eyes.

 

“He needs your blood.” Inuyasha said as he sat up.

 

“That's right; he mentioned that when I found him.” Kagome paused. “Help me, Inuyasha?” Inuyasha nodded and easily picked up Hiten's braid and dragged him to Kaede's village.

 

Kagome stood up and ran after Inuyasha who was dragging the kicking thunder youkai. Inuyasha entered his and Kagome's hut and rolled Hiten over in the corner. Kagome entered and looked confused as Inuyasha began reading the manga Kagome brought with her 4 years ago.

 

“Inuyasha, what are you doing? We need Hiten outside!” Kagome said.

 

Inuyasha looked up. “Well I just thought he'd like to die again inside.”

 

Kagome gaped at Inuyasha, an incredulous look etched on her face. “Inuyasha; I'm not going to let him die.”

 

It was Inuyasha's turn to gape. Kagome sighed and walked over to Hiten. She put his arm over her shoulder and grabbed his lower back to get him to stand with her. She stood halfway and helped the unsteady Hiten to his feet.

 

“Hiten, you're gonna have to do the marking thing on your own; I don't know how to do it.” Kagome panted as she practically pulled Hiten outside.

 

“And that's all you're gonna do.” Inuyasha said, crossing his arms over his chest. Kagome knelt down and looked at the paling Hiten.

 

Hiten nodded at Inuyasha's two cents and moved Kagome's hair from her left shoulder. Kagome gulped and closed her eyes as Hiten sunk his fangs right down to her bone. Kagome glanced down at him, and noticed him looking at her. She realized he was waiting for her OK, and she nodded.

 

Hiten lapped up the blood that poured from the mark on Kagome's collar bone and closed her eyes in bliss. Inuyasha watched this all with jealous eyes as Kagome moaned in pleasure. Inuyasha fidgeted as he smelt Kagome's arousal and he desperately wished for the thunder youkai to die again so he could mark HIS Kagome.

 

`Damn him. Why'd he have to choose her? Kagome is mine, and Hiten had better keep his grimy paws off of her!' Inuyasha growled mentally.

 

Hiten withdrew from Kagome's shoulder, and she opened her eyes and gazed at him. He looked like his old self. She however felt exhausted.

 

“If you guys will excuse me, I'm going to take a nap.” Kagome yawned as she walked back to the hut she and the hanyou shared.

 

She had no idea how much she would change when she got up 3 hours later.
