Ch.1 Looking beyond.

"Inu-Yasha, there's something I've got to tell you" Kagome said quietly, for she secretly hoped Inu-Yasha would not give her a hard time about the decision she has made. But she knew he would considering everything she would say to him.

"InuYasha, I have decided that I am not going to go looking for the shards with you anymore. Its just...I can' take it anymore. I can't put up with how you are to me. You know how Kikyo tries to get rid of me, but you do nothing in my defense. I am sorry Inu-Yasha I am very very sorry. I can't put up with it anymore, I just can't overlook it like nothing's happening like I have done in the past." Kagome lowered her had in shame, for she knew she got into this mess by herself with no one's help, and she is backing out of it.

"OY, WENCH WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU ARE BACKING OUT OF IT????? YOU CAN'T JUST BACK OUT OF IT. YOU'RE RIGHT YOU WERE THE ONE WHO STARTED IT, SO YOU SHOULD FINISH IT!!!!"Inu-Yasha screamed at her as he looked down at her as if she had grown a second head.

"I told you before I am truly sorry"

"NOW WHAT AM I GOING TO DO WITH OUT MY SHARD DETECTOR?????" Inu-Yasha hollered as he glowered at her.

" I know that's all you care about, but it is my duty none the less. So you know how I have become much more stronger then I used to be??"

"Ya, So what does that have to do with anything?"

"Well, I have made a way for Kikyo to become full human again with her own soulâ€" Kagome said, hoping that Inu-Yasha would agree with her and go with her now that Kikyo could be alive and whole again. " You can't just give her a new soul!!!!" Inu-Yasha said. But if you looked really hard into InuYasha's eyes you could see hope in them, hope that Kikyo could become alive again.

"Well, it's like this, apparently I was stronger then I thought I was with my miko powers and all. So what I did was make a sort of copy of my soul, which is just the same as my soul but different. If that makes sense to you." Kagome replied, liking the way she saw hope in InuYasha's eyes. But somewhere down deep she wished that Inu-Yasha wouldn't look so hopeful. 'No time to think about that now that I've already set plans.' Kagome thought to herself. 'All I need to do is get Kikyo here and leave the rest to me.'

"And just what will I do about the shards??" Inu-Yasha said thinking he had stumped Kagome with that question.

"Don't worry I have thought it all thru, Kikyo is able to see the shards right?. So she will help you. Since after all, she will be able to be whole again and not just clay and dirt anymore".

"Alright I will see if this works or not" Inu-Yasha declared as he started to run off towards where he had smelt Kikyo earlier today. Inu-Yasha quickly found her and explained to her what was going on. He then brought her back to where he was 20 mins before.

" Hello reincarnation, how very NOT nice it is to see you again." Kikyo smirked evilly as she came across Kagome.

"Well, get to it wench we don't have all day" Inu-Yasha said horridly, perhaps to horridly.

"Alright, Inu-Yasha don't rush me" Kagome said completely sure everything would go as planned. "But you need to leave InuYasha I don't want you watch."

"Fine wench, but no funny business." Inu-Yasha said as he walked off till he was called back.

"All right bitch, go on with it already." Kikyo said knowing Inu-Yasha was out of hearing range.

"Ok fine, but remember I am doing you the favor." Kagome said as she reached her hands high up in the air. A couple seconds after she did reach up her hands up in the air bluish-white light started to appear. The light then bounced of Kagome's hands and towards Kikyo. It then went straight toward Kikyo and went inside her body. Kikyo instantly howled in pain and discomfort. But soon the pain was gone and the light went back to Kagome and entered her body and stayed.

Kikyo smiled to herself happily knowing she was finally whole. She then turned to Kagome and said softly" I want to thank you very much Kagome. I know I have tried many time to kill you but it really wasn't me."

Kagome was shocked to say the least out of the turn of events, after all this women had tried to kill her plenty of times. "Yo.... You're welcome, just do me a favor and don't get caught by Naraku, again for me"

Kikyo laughed "Alright, no problem. I am always in your debt. If there is anything you ever need just let me know. Well I better go collect Inu-Yasha he probably thinks you killed me".

Kagome laughed, too" Please tell InuYasha that I'm sorry, that is only it had been different circumstances..... " *Kagome sighed to her self.*

"Goodbye Kagome, and don't forget what I said" Kikyo said as she left to go get InuYasha and help him gather the shards, then live in peace.

Kagome walked away from the scene too, but when she left there was a one big tear running down her face. Kagome walked towards the well and jumped in with one final thought ' ' 'Goodbye InuYasha, I will miss you'. She then hit the ground and looked up to see the clear blue sky.'What's wrong? Why didn't the well take me home?' Apparently she had many more thoughts to go on here.

'Is that my woman I smell??' Kouga said as he rushed off towards the scent of his woman. Leaving his two followers behind.
