Kagome sat down on the bench and let out a sigh of releaf at a job well done. She look over the yard of the shrine to see if she had missed anywhere in her sweaping. Satisfied that it was indeed a very good job she got up and headed inside the house.
“Momma, I am all finished sweaping the yard.” Kagome yelled as soon as she enter the house.
“Thankyou, dear.” Hina, Kagome’s mother, said coming out from the kitchen. “I beleave that finishes up your chores for the evening, so why don‘t you go next door and see if Eri will play with you.”
“Ok momma.” Kagome cherped happily as she ran out the door to play with her best friend.
Hina watched Kagome run off with a smile on her lips. Kagome was her little angle and she loved her dearly. Hina sighed and looked at the door that her lovely daughter had just left threw. Kagome would be ten soon and soon it would be time to start her miko training. Hina could tell already, even at Kagome‘s young age that she was going to be a very powerfull miko when she grows up.
Hina stood up and started to head into the living room. Before she got there though a shadowed figure stepped out in front of her. Hina took a quick step back as she could feel the evil aura comming off the demon standing before her.
“Who are you? What do you want?” Hina demanded of the figure.
“Ha. I am here for the Jewel of course.” A womans amused voice said.
€Oh God no! They found me.€ Hina thought to herself. “What jewel are you talking about?” She said outloud.
A soft growl came from the woman. “Don't play the fool with me miko. You know which Jewel I am talking about. Now hand it over!”
“I have no idea what you are talking about!” Hina lied and took a few steps away from the demon.
“Enough of these games. Hand it over now!” The woman took a threatening step forward.
Hina finally saw the face of the female when she stepped forward. Red eyes is what stood out the most on the beautiful face, she had a beautifull kimono on and held a fan in her hand.
Hina quickly looked around her looking for a way to escape. It was then that she noticed the other demonds. They were minor demonds blocking the windows and door. There was no way to escape. Hina knew that she would have to fight to escape, but she also knew that there was no way she would be able to defeet them all. She was not a stronge miko, unlike her daughter. Sadly she raised her hand to the jewel, which hung on a necklace, and grasped ahold of it. “I am so sorry.” Hina wispered, thinking of Kagome. €It's going to be up to you now. God I am so sorry my dearest Kagome please be safe.€ Then in a flash of pink light the jewel disapeared from her hand.
The demon narowed her eyes as she watched the miko raise her hand and grab something at her neck. € That must be the jewel. € She thought. The demon quickly started forward to releive the jewel from the miko, but a moment before she reached the miko a light flashed and she was thrown back hard. Landing roughly against the wall. The demon looked up and noticed that everything else that was close to the miko was also thrown back. She also noticed the miko's hand was now empty. “No!” the demon yelled, “What did you do with it you bitch?”
Hina smiled, “It is now somewhere neither you, nor your boss, will ever be able to find it.” With that she started to attack. Purifing as many demons as she could, but there were too many of them. It seemed like for ever one she killed two more took its place. She was also geting hurt herself. Too many times the demons teeth and claws mared her skin, she was bleeding everwhere. Her movements were slowing down. When finally she felt increadable pain in her back. She coughed once, blood spilling from her mouth, then fell to the floor. € Oh, Kagome. I am so sorry. Please be safe and be happy.€ Hina though as she slipped into a blissfull oblivion.
The red eyed demon stood back and watched as the miko tried to fight her way out. It was a hopelessbattle, and she was not surprised when the miko finally fell. She was impressed with the amount of demons that the miko was able to take down.
“Humh!” the female demon said once seeing the miko die. €Well this was unforseen. I wonder what he'll want do now?€ she thought to herself as she walked out of the house, leaving the lesser demons to do what they wanted with the mikos body for she had no use for it. She then plucked a feather from a comb in her hair and threw it to the ground. In a flutter the small feather became a larger on, in which she hoped onto and started to fly away.

Kagome happily running over to her friend Eri's house, who lived just down the street from her. She was excited to see her friend, cause she had not seen Eri in a few days.
Half way to Eri's house Kagome suddenly felt wierd, like something was very wrong. Then it felt like something had inpacked into her side. She fell back onto her bum. Kagome was seeing stars and was quite disorientated as she sat there, lieing on the ground. Her side hurt, her bum and hands hurt from being scraped when she fell, and she still had that awfull wrong feeling. Tears started to form in her eyes. Kagome lied there not sure what to do. She stayed there for a few minuts when she heard the voice of her mother “Oh, Kagome. I am so sorry. Be safe and be happy.” Kagome looked around for the sourse of the voice that seemed to be comming from everywhere and nowhere at once. Not seeing her mother anywhere she finally stood up. She started to panic, she had heard her mothers voice but could not find her. Kagome started running home.
What Kagome saw when she got home shocked her to the core. There were demons crawling all over what was left of her house. Kagome started to cry out loud as she ran to the door. All Kagome could think think of was getting to her mother. A soft blue glow encompused Kagome. Any demon that even get close to her was instantly purified. Kagome did not notice any of the demons, she did not notice anything, she only wanted to get to her mother.
Kagome ran in threw her front door. What she saw once inside was a sight she would not forget for the rest of her life. There were demons crawling all over the room and in the very center lay her mother. Demons were all around her dead mothers body, thier sharp teeth taking large chunks out of her flesh. Her mothers blood dripped off thier discusting faces.
Kagome looked upon them in utter shock , her face paled to a sickened white. After a second of watching Kagome let out an ear piearcing scream. At the same time as she sceeamed the ,soft blue light surounding her, flashed out like lightening . The light instantly purified everything in the surounding area, evey demon instantly turned to dust as soon as the light touched them. Quickly the light disapeared leaving Kagome standing alone in the dark. Then Kagome's eyes roled back into her head , as she passed out and fell down next to the corpse of her dead mother.
