As her song finished she felt tears make their way down her cheeks. Smelling the salt in the air he knew she was crying. He wanted so badly to go and comfort her, but didn't. He stood and up looked at her up in the tree. To his amazement. She stood as if preparing to jump off the tree. 'she's going to do what I think she's going to do is she?' his thoughts made him nervous. She put one foot out and right when he was going to catch her…he stopped. 'walking on air???' he was so confused. He felt a strong aura come from her. She walked as if down stairs and made her way down to the ground. 'but she's not a youki? How is she doing that?' his thoughts just made him more confused. He quickly hid himself again, when she looked back at the tree. She seemed to distracted to feel his presence.

As she left he just stared at her, 'she's no ordinary girl' he thought to himself….

"KAGOME!!!!!!" sango yelled, "wake up sleepy head, it's Thursday and we gotta go get you a dress" Stirring slowly Kagome opened her eyes, "dress? Oh yeah" she said sleepily. "CRAP IT'S THURSDAY WE NEED TO GO GET A DRESS!!!" she shouted, "OH MY GOD AND ORIENTATION IS TOMORROW!!!!!" Kagome yelled. She ran out of bed, got dressed and ran put up her hair, stood in front of her roomy and just repeated "dress". Sango stared at her blankly. "I mean, yeah! The dress, we have to go get a dress" Kagome corrected herself with a few giggles in between. Still staring at her Sango sighed "what would you do without me". Kagome responded with a smile and they left there room and drove to the mall.

Inuyasha and Miroku sat on a bench near star bucks, sipping some coffee when……. "DUDE!!! IT'S HER!!!!" Spitting out his coffee and staring at the girl Miroku was so desperately pointing at Inuyasha froze. "dam, she's so hott and she's with my partner from orientation, sweet!" Miroku said happily. "that's the girl you were talking about" Inuyasha asked. "yeah man, she's gorgeous!" Miroku squealed. "oh please" Inuyasha smirked.

"What???" Miroku said confused. " come on, a girl like anyone would wanna go out with her" Inuyasha said with an unsteady voice. "oh really" Miroku said slyly. "well, rumor has it Kouga's interested and he says she's all over him" Miroku just looked up the ceiling of the mall waiting for Inuyasha to explode. He counted in his head '5...4...3...2...1...' "YEAH RIGHT LIKE SHE WOULD EVER GO OUT WITH A NO GOOD BASTARD LIKE KOUGA WHAT THE HELL WOULD SHE SEE IN HIM THAT'S NOT IN ME!!!!" Inuyasha yelled.

Miroku gave him a bad look, "so I see he's not the only one interested" Inuyasha was caught and he new it too. "ok, so fine, she's pretty I guess" he said avoiding eye contact. "lets go follow'em" Miroku said getting up from the bench and in no way waiting for Inuyasha. "Hey wait!" Inuyasha yelled from behind. They walked closely behind them hiding near planters or trees just in case. When they finally reached a store they entered in and went to the men's section. They found they were in a like "formal wear" store. Miroku crept up near the girls and watched them. "I think their shopping for dresses for orientation tomorrow" he whispered. "yeah" inuyasha whispered back. "lets get a closer look" said Miroku in a perverted tone of voice.

As Miroku went further into the womens section of the store Inuyasha stepped back. He went back to the mens section of the store, picked out a hot black suit and headed toward the changing room. As he walked into the room he saw Kagome walk into one of the changing rooms and ran into the one next to her. As they both started changing Inuyasha noticed that one of Kagome's shoes made their way into his changing stall.

He grabbed that shoe and held it for a moment. 'here's my chance' he thought. "oh hey, miss, I found your shoe" Inuyasha said nervously. "oh my gosh, thank you!" she responded thankfully. He handed her the shoe from underneath the stall and they continued changing. "What's the occasion" Inuyasha asked trying to keep the conversation going. "I have a school function to go to tomorrow" she said, "you?" "oh same" he answered. "small world" Kagome laughed. "I'm so dead, I'll never find anything" Kagome laughed again.

Quietly he answered "I'm sure you'll look beautiful no matter what you wear". "aw, thanks that's really sweet" she said softly. "so are you going with a date?" he asked nervously. There was a silence for about a minute or two then kagome asked, "no, I wish I was, that would've been so much fun" another silence followed. "who did you want to go with" he asked. "well, I wanted to go with this one guy, he acts really funny, and he's really sweet, plus he's a really gentle person inside" she said. 'great…kouga' Inuyasha thought. "oh.." he responded. "although, sometimes he's really mean, I just think he's insecure, he can play the guitar and you'll never believe me but he has these really cute, white, fuzzy ears that I just love" she giggled. Inuyasha stood with his mouth wide open.

'm-mmm-e-ee…..' he struggled in his own thoughts. 'she wanted to go with me?????' he said to himself again. 'she was gonna go with me! Not that damned bastard but me and she thinks I'm funny! And she likes my ears!' his thoughts were driving him therw an unstoppable road of happiness. "Hey Ka….I mean, can I ask you something" Inuyasha corrected himself. 'crap I almost forgot she doesn't know it's me!!' he mentally slapped himself. "sure" she replied happily. "well…uhh, ok well I got this friend see and he saw this girl…uhh, dancing..yeah dancing when she said she would never dance again, but she doesn't know he saw her dancing and he really wants to tell her that her dancing is beautiful but doesn't wanna make it seem like he was spying on her…so uh, what should he do?" Inuyasha finished and waited for a reply.

"well, first oh all, your right, he wasn't spying, it's just like taking a walk in a park and just seeing her right?" 'you have no idea' he though. She continued "I think he should just tell her or better yet show her, he can dance with her or ask her to dance! I think that would be so romantic!" Kagome blushed. Inuyasha was silent, 'then I'll show her' he thought. "thanks, you're a great help, I appre--I mean, my friend will appreciate it a lot.

"well, I gotta go, nice talking to you" she exited out of the changing room and left. "same here" he said. He watched Kagome find Sango and started to look for Miroku. He found him sitting hidden underneath a bunch of dresses jumping up and down in joy. Asking what was up with the jumpiness Miroku explained how he asked Sango to go to the orientation with him and how she said yes and gave him her number. Sighing at the lameness of his roommate he turned and left the store and headed for the car. "you what did you do?" Miroku asked in a *haha I got a number a you don't * voice. "I talked with Kagome" he responded cooly. "no way, she forgave you even though you like sandwiched her twice with Kouga?"

"uhh, well not exactly, I mean, she didn't really know it was me" Inuyasha said shaking his head as they got into the car. "I don't get it" Miroku replied confusedly. On the way back to the dorm Inuyasha explained the ordeal and told Miroku his "master plan" to win Kagome back. He had a big surprise for her and she was sure to love it. When they reached the dorm he went to his room and sat on the couch with his guitar. "yup, my friends gonna ask her to dance alright….their gonna dance till the day it done…." he smirked as he strummed notes.

Sor ry for the short chapters guys but I haven't really gotten a lot of time to wirte. I promise that it's gonna be worth it cause Inu's gotta big surprise for Kagome and you'll love it! I'll be sure to update soon!!!
