"Hey ..uh, so are you going to the orientation?" Kagome froze, the orientation, she totally forgot and she still needed a dress! "CRAP!!!" she yelled, "I have go to, I'm sorry, we'll can practice the play on Friday. That good for you?" she said "sure" he said confused

Kagome ran out the doorway and right into Kouga again. 'This is just too much' she thought to herself. "Hello Kagome" he said smiling. Inuyasha peeked his head through the door and listened. "oh, hi" she said still shocked. "so your going with me to the orientation right?" he had a devilish look. Inuyasha froze….'don't say yes, 'don't say yes, 'don't say yes, 'don't say yes, 'don't say yes, 'don't say yes, 'don't say yes, 'don't say yes, 'don't say yes, 'don't say yes, ' he kept on repeating these words in his mind, shaking with anticipation. Kagome, of course, feeling Inuyasha's presence and his awkward chanting, looked up at Kouga, "uh, well I--" "can't go with you" inuyasha finished for her. He stood behind her and she was sandwiched in between the two again.

'Not again' she thought. "It's her decision you helpless loser" snarled Kouga. "Says who you bastard, seems like you already decided for her" Inuyasha yelled. "SAYS ME YOU JERK" Kagome screamed. Both guys had their ears flattened. "I'm not going to the orientation with ANYONE!!! Happy???" she ran down the hall and down to the lounge

At the lounge……………..Sango sees Kagome sitting on the couch

"He y Kags, what's up? Why the long face," asked a worried Sango. "Oh nothing, I'm just kinda tired, I had a pretty rough day, that's all" Knowing she was lying Sango avoided the news and told her to go up stairs and get some rest. Walking up to her dorm, she stared at her lyrics book. "It's been way to long," she said softly. Reaching her room, she was about to open up her door when she decided to go for a walk. She remembered reading about a beautiful forest that was next to the college grounds.

She made her way down to the forest and stared in awe, it was absolutely breath taking. She found a beautiful oak tree and climbed it about half way. She sat on one of the branches and stared at hey lyrics book again. She just couldn't stop thinking about Inuyasha. She slowly opened the book and started to write.

It ended up being a song about (of course) her and Inuyasha. She titled it "ordinary girl" and just stared at her lyrics. As if without hesitation she started to sing. ~~~Little did she know, she wasn't alone. Inuyasha, being the hanyou he is loved the forest and came often. He was resting by the lake when he heard someone sing. She had a beautiful voice, that of an angel. Her mesmerizing voice drove him to search for the singer. As he ran threw the forest, scanning trees, bushes whatever he saw, he found her. Staring in shock, he melted.

He saw Kagome sitting on the branch of the old oak he loved and decided to stay and listen. Making his way to the other side of the tree, he sat at the trunk and listened intently.

As her song finished she felt tears make their way down her cheeks. Smelling the salt in the air he knew she was crying. He wanted so badly to go and comfort her, but didn't. He stood and up looked at her up in the tree. To his amazement. She stood as if preparing to jump off the tree. 'she's going to do what I think she's going to do is she?' his thoughts made him nervous. She put one foot out and right when he was going to catch her…he stopped. 'walking on air???' he was so confused. He felt a strong aura come from her. She walked as if down stairs and made her way down to the ground. 'but she's not a youki? How is she doing that?' his thoughts just made him more confused. He quickly hid himself again, when she looked back at the tree. She seemed to distracted to feel his presence.

As she left he just stared at her, 'she's no ordinary girl' he thought to himself….
