Gomen for the long wait on the update! That rhymed... anyway... this chapter is going to be Mrs. Higurashi's funeral! ::sob:: Poor Kag-chan, poor Suzuna! Oh yes, Kagome & Suzuna are staying at Inu-Yasha's house for the time-being. Not for the rest of their lives, though. *P.S. Kagome would've gone to stay with Sango... but she had to visit a sick relative in Osaka. And, Miroku also had to visit a sick relative in Osaka... I know a certain couple that are having some fun. lol ((Oh yeah, Sango went to Osaka with Miroku before Kagome found out her mother was dead))*

Kagome sighed deeply as she slipped on her black dress. Kagome had always loved the color black, therefore she had always loved this dress. The fishnet sleeves, the skull trim. She especially loved the small bows on either side of the sleeve. Kagome also liked the fact that he wasn't too long, and it wasn't too short. It was just above her knees. The only thing she didn't like about the dress at the moment, is that she had to wear it to her mother's funeral.

Kagome sat down at the desk and looked in the mirror as she brushed her hair. Inu-Yasha appeared at the doorway. "Kag-chan... are you alright?"

Kagome continued to brush her hair as she answered him. "No," she replied honestly. "I am going to my mother's funeral. How would you feel if you had to go to your mothe--" she stopped herself. Kagome had forgotten that Inu-Yasha had saw his mother and father killed by thieves when he was just 10 years old.*A/N-Inu-Yasha lives with a foster family. So does Sesshomaru-sama* "I'm sorry, Inu-kun. I had totally forgotten." Kagome put her hand over her mouth.

"That's okay, Kagome,"Inu-Yasha replied as he walked over and embraced her in a hug.

Kagome turned and kissed Inu-Yasha on the cheek. "Aishiteru, Inu-Yasha."

"I love you, too," Inu-Yasha replied just as Suzuna walked in.

"Hi, Yashi," Suzuna greeted him with a faint smile as she walked in.

"Hey, Suzuna-chan!" Inu-Yasha said as he walked over to Suzuna and picked her up.

"Are you going to to mommy's funeeroll?" Suzuna asked, mispronouncing the word "funeral".

Inu-Yasha put up a sad smile. "Wouldn't miss it for the world, hon." He brushed back a bang from her forehead and kissed her. He let her down gently and she walked over to Kagome.

"Big Sister!" Suzuna called up to Kagome, tugging at Kagome's fishnet stockings.

"Careful, Baby Sister," Kagome said as she picked up Suzuna and put her on her lap. "You'll rip the stockings. What's up?"

"Will you zip my dress?" Suzuna asked, jumping down from Kagome's lap.

"Oooh, nice dress!" Kagome complimented on the beautiful, black dress her sister was wearing. It went to right below her knees, it had a red rose trim, and it was velvet. Suzuna looked so cute.

"Thankies," Suzuna replied as she held up her hair.

Kagome zipped it up. "No problem.... Oh yeah, Baby Sister. Happy birthday! Today you are three years of age."

Suzuna got a really kawaii smile. "Really???" she asked excitedly.

"Yup!" Kagome replied as she embraced Suzuna in a hug. "I love you."

"I wuv you, too!" Suzuna replied and got down from Kagome's lap. She sat on Kagome's bed and waited patiently as she foraged in her bag for her preasent.

"Aha!" Kagome said triumphatly and pulled out a neatly wrapped box. "Here you go, Baby Sister."

Suzuna took the box and unwrapped it quickly. She opened the white box and held up the black sweatshirt with flames on the rims of the sleeves. "I wuv it!!" Suzuna squealed with excitement as she hugged her big sister. "Thankies!!!"

Kagome hugged her back. "You're quite welcome!"

"I'm gonna go show Yashi!" she said and walked out of her sister's room and into Inu-Yasha's.

Kagome smiled as she heard Suzuna's squeal of excitement. 'She must've gotten Inu-Yasha's preasent," she thought to herself as she put on her black highheels. She decided to let her hair hang about 6 inches below her shoulders, it's regular length. Kagome continued getting ready by adding a beautiful black hat to her head, black eyeliner under her eyes, and blood-red lipstick to her lips.

Mrs. Higurashi's funeral was a sad one indeed. Almost everyone was crying. And Kagome was one of them. The burial was extreamly sad as well. Everyone there were given roses to throw in the coffin. Kagome and Suzuna threw theres at the same time purposely, and they collided in the air. Suzuna smiled at her older sister as the roses did so.

"Big Sister...." Suzuna had asked on the ride back to Inu-Yasha's house. "Could you be my mommy?"

Kagome gave her a weak smile and answered,"I don't think our real mommy would like that, Baby Sister. How about we just stick with Big Sister, 'k?"

"Otay, Big Sister! You know best," she replied with a smile.

A few minutes later they arrived home. Inu-Yasha's foster mom suggested that she take Suzuna out for ice cream. Suzuna quickly said,"Otay!! I wanna go out for ice ceam!! Big Sister, can I go out for ice ceam????"

Kagome laughed. "Of course you can. It's already 6 'o clock, so be back soon!"

Suzuna left shortly afterwards. *A/N-It is not just Kagome and Inu-Yasha home. Sesshomaru is also there!* Kagome walked into her room and laid down on her bed. A few minutes later, Inu-Yasha appeared at the doorway. "Hi, Inu-Yasha," Kagome greeted him as he sat down at the foot of her bed. "What's up?" she asked him as she sat up.

Inu-Yasha pushed back a stray bang and kissed her. She returned the kiss as he got up on top of her. *A/N-THERE ARE NO LEMONS IN THIS FANFIC!! And, Kagome & Inu-Yasha are not going to have sex in this chapter.* They continued to kiss passionatly for another 20 seconds but then Sesshomaru walked in. "Kagome, you should love me! Not Inu-Baka!!" Sesshomaru said, sounding hurt. Inu-Yasha quickly got off of Kagome.

They both blushed furiously as they tried to explain. "It's not what it looks like!" Inu-Yasha and Kagome yelled.

Sesshomaru just looked hurt. "You probally would have gone all the way if I hadn't of walked in!"

"Even if we would have gone 'all the way', I told you... I don't love you!!" Kagome yelled at Sesshomaru.

Sesshomaru continued to look hurt and left the room. They both blushed as they looked at each other. "I should umm... go," Inu-Yasha said to Kagome, pointing to the doorway.

"Good idea," Kagome agreed. She leaned in and kissed him for a second and their lips parted. "Ja ne, Inu-kun."

"Aishiteru, Kagome," he replied as he walked out of her room and into his.
