Chapter 4: Tricked

Kagome had been trying to avoid Inuyasha. The memory of his hurt face was still burned into her brain. `What was I thinking? How could I have said that to Inuyasha?' she was laying in her sleeping bag, turned away from the rest of the gang.

Miroku, Sango, Shippo, and Kilala were all lying around the fire sleeping peacefully un-perturbed by any problems or confusion. Kagome was almost jealous of their peaceful slumber.

Inuyasha had gone off by himself and no had seen him since they ha made camp.

Kagome rolled onto her stomach and tried to clear her mind. `I have to get some sleep.' She told herself.

Eventually she fell into a light sleep.

Inuyasha sat quietly in a tree, silent tears running down his face. `Why is Kagome acting so weird? I don't understand her.' He thought, still trying to forget the hurtful words that she had said to him.

Hours later at the break of dawn, Sesshomaru had reached her camp. He peered into the clearing, looking for the annoying hanyou. But Inuyasha was still sulking in the depths of the forest. He smirked and chuckled when he smelt tears from his brother. "The stupid whelp." He walked into the camp and looked around for Kagome. When he found her, he went to her sleeping bag and knelt by her side.

He looked at her and watched as she breathed. Sesshy stroked her face, sweeping away the strands of hair that hung in her face and tucking them behind her ear. Kagome stirred and looked up into his face.

"Sesshomaru?" she questioned. Hoping with all hope that it really was him.

He smiled down at her and rested his hand on her soft cheek. "It is you. I thought you wouldn't come…" He rested a finger on her lips and said, "Shhh, its ok. I'm here now."

Kagome looked up and tears welled in her eyes. "Kagome?" he said, the smile fading from his face. Her bottom lip quivered and she lunged for him, wrapping her arms around his waist. He looked down a little startled but got over it quickly and put his arms (incase I didn't tell you earlier he has both arms) around her.

"We should go somewhere else. The half breed might come back soon." He said to her. She nodded and Sesshy stood up with her in his arms.

He walked deeper into the forest, heading in the opposite direction of Inuyasha.

They went to a tiny clearing surrounded by trees. "Now then…" but the voice Kagome heard was not that of her Sesshomaru but the cold heartless voice of Naraku.

Sorry to leave it at such a cliffy but it just seemed to work out. Mwahahahahaha!!!

Fooled You!!

"Naraku!!" she screamed. Instead of being held in Sesshy's arms, she was being held in Naraku's. "Hmhm. Foolish girl." "W-what do you w-want?" she asked, stuttering in her fright. "You."

One word. One frightening word was all it took to explain what he wanted.

Kagome felt her emotions explode uncontrollably.

Fear. Sorrow. Betrayal. Hurt. Jealousy. `Sesshomaru?'

He smiled and looked up. "Now that I have you alone…."But he didn't finish his sentence, instead he looked down at her.

His evil grin was enough though. Kagome knew. She knew what he was going to do to her. The realization had hit with the force of a thousand bricks.

"Why do you want me?" she asked, tears threatening to pour from her eyes. "For my own reasons darling." The word darling had sent shivers up her spine. Her whole body quaked in his grip. `Why?' she was scared, terrified of the thought of that disgusting demon touching her.

Naraku stood with that evil grin still on his face. "Well then, should we get on with it."

Wow, the next chapter will probably be sad one if I get more reviews. Mwahahahaha i'm not joking this time either. The chapter is -sigh- done. Mwahahahaha!!
