Hey peeps. What's up? Glad you like my story and I'm really sorry for what happens in this chapter but it just falls into place with the damn plot. So uhh…if you want to burn me after this chapter ill understand. But don't worry it will eventually get better. Well on with the story.

Oh ya and thoughts are now this instead of `this' k.

Chapter 5: Sword Thief

Sesshomaru was flying quickly over the treetops, hurrying to the smell of Kagome and Naraku's mingled scents. He could smell fear, tears, and deceit.

His senses were going wild. What's happening to my Kagome?

Inuyasha had gotten the rest of the gang and he too was rushing for the place were Naraku held Kagome captive. If that bastard hurts her I swear ill kill him!!

Thinking about her being hurt made him run even faster. "Inuyasha! Wait for us!" yelled Shippo. But he was to far ahead to even hear the young kitsune.

Naraku stood in the clearing with a huge bull demon. Its corded muscles bulging from its skin. "Naraku! You said I would be able to feast this day!" it bellowed. "And you shall foul beast. Be patient or I will take back that shard in your head." He said looking at the hideous monster behind him.

Kagome was in the bull demons hand being squeezed until she could barely breath. She was in tatters. Her clothes were torn and she looked as though someone had tried to rape her. She was gasping for breath now and trying as hard as she could to get free of the beast's grasp.

"Naraku? Can you smell that?" it asked. The demon smiled, showing yellowed uneven teeth. He snorted and looked in the direction of the Inu gang. "Now remember, Sesshomaru will go for you and so will the hanyou. You have to keep them busy long enough for me to get tensaiga(spelling please.)" "Right." Replied the bull.

Sesshomaru flew into the clearing taking in the scene before him. "Naraku." He said in a menacing voice, "unhand her. Or ill rip you apart."

Kagome looked at him wincing in pain. "Sesshomaru!" she screamed out, but her breath got caught in her throat as the bull griped her tighter.

Inuyasha had heard Kagome's scream. Sesshomaru is working with Naraku! I have to hurry!

Kagome was struggling as much as she could. The bull held her in front of his face, and said, "Little bitches should be obedient."

Rancid breath hit her face as he spoke, making her cough. Which didn't help her breathlessness. "I cant breath!" she tried say. But it was to hard. Her world was spinning. Fogging over and becoming blurry. This can't happen! She thought, willing herself to stay alive. I can't die like this! Not here! Not now!

Sesshomaru looked at Kagome, watching her fade every second he wasted. "You'll pay for this Bastard!" he said rushing toward the bull. The beast threw Kagome over his shoulder were she landed on a pile of rocks.

She screamed in pain as she hit the surface of the rocks. Sesshomaru got sidetracked again, and this resulted in him being wounded again! (My poor little Sesshy!!)

But it didn't even faze him.

Inuyasha ran into the clearing drawing tetsaiga from it's sheath. "Naraku!! You let her go!!" he yelled, swinging the heavy blade at him. Naraku dogged his attack easily and smirked at him. "Stupid dog."

Sesshomaru's arm was bleeding freely and all he could think of was Kagome. Don't let her be dead. Please gods let her be alive. He rushed at the demon again and destroyed him with one swipe of his good arm.

The demon yelled and burst into dust. Sesshomaru rushed Kagome's side and knelt down next to her. She moaned in pain as he turned her onto her stomach. He pulled her onto his lap with his good arm. "Kagome." He said holding her close. "Sesshomaru." She said in a breathy voice barely above a whisper.

"Shhh, don't speak if it hurts."

Sesshomaru discarded his sword and let Kagome snuggle closer to him, both unaware of the fight that Naraku and Inuyasha were having.

Naraku spotted the tensaiga and rushed for it. He picked it up and ran to the edge of the clearing. "Thank you for the sword Sesshomaru. I will be seeing you later." He said, smiling at Kagome before he rushed into the depths of the forest.

Inuyasha sheathed the sword and looked at Sesshomaru. Kagome was clutching his shirt cringing in pain. "What happened to her? What did you do!?" he said screaming at Sesshomaru. "He didn't do…anything…to me. He tried to… save me." She said cringing with every word. "Shh, don't speak." Said Sesshomaru putting his finger on her lips.

"He should…come with us. He could…help collect the shards." Inuyasha looked down at her with soft eyes. He hesitated and then answered. "Fine, but if you do anything to hurt anyone then your out."

Sesshy nodded and using his wounded arm, picked her up wedding style. He stood up as well and they headed for the village.
