*Love in Coma*
Mrs. Higarashi stood silently in her small kitchen. Contemplating what her next move would be. She had most of the meal made. Now she just needed to think of a desert.

Today her boyfriend of 3 years asked for her hand in marriage.

And she accepted.

Now she just needed a dessert for the lovely dinner they were supposed to be having tonight.

Reaching for the freezer, her movements stopped however when the telephone rang.

"Strange." She said to herself, knowing that know one she knew would be calling now.

Reaching for the phone, she answered. "Hello?" a pause. "Yes this is she. May i ask what this is concerning?"

Unknown to her, that question would change her life.

Forever.


"Oh.my.god."

Miroku sat in the waiting area patiently. His eyes beaming with unshed tears. The light in his life was sitting beside him. Except with her, the tears were covering her beautiful face.

No one said a word.

Inuyasha walked in with two cups of coffee in his hand. Motioning them to Miroku and Sango, they took it.

No one said a word.

Doors next to him opened suddenly and the only woman he ever came to know trust walked in. Mrs.Higarashi.

No one said a word.

No one said a word as Mrs. Higarashi fell to the ground, a crumpled mess. Or when Inuyasha fell down to the ground next to her, holding her in his arms as she cried.

"My Baby. My Baby." She repeated.

As for them being happy or sad tears...no one could tell.

They just assumed they were a little of both.

Inuyasha help Mrs.Higarashi up. And sat her down in one of the chairs, her tears still flowing down her face, but the sobs stopped. Questions soon followed.

"Is She Ok? When did she wake up? What does she look like? Does she remember anything?"

Inuyasha smiled a small sad smile. "The doctor will be here soon. Lets just wait and ask him."

Mrs.Higarashi was about to protest when something caught her eye.

Followed by her gasp and Miroku and Sangos.

Inuyasha turned around. To find a very beautiful confused girl.

"Mama?"

Then Mrs. Higarashi Fainted.

"Mama!" Kagome ran towards the collapsed woman. Pushing Inuyasha aside she bent down and shook her. "Mama! Mama wake up!"

Inuyasha gently pushed Kagome aside and picked up her mom, rushing her to Kagomes room, and placed her down and told Kagome to come down.

Miroku ran to get a doctor. While Sango watched on helplessly.

Moments later the doctor ran in and attended to Mrs.Higarashi.

"She'll be fine, she just need to rest, to much stress." The doctor said turning to look at the group.

Until then, Miss Higarashi, I would like you to rest. You have just woken up out of a coma, and woudln't like any relapses, now would we?" He said smiling.

Then he left leaving the group to wonder....

What the HELL just happened?

"She looks different."

The group faced Kagome for the first REAL time. Noticing how she grew to be a beautiful young adult.

"Her hairs shorter. It used to be long."

Inuyasha, Sango, and Miroku stared at the girl helplessly. Wishing they could do SOMETHING. But no one did anything, or said a word.

"It used to be down to her butt. And it had blond streaks."

Sango took a tentative step toward Kagome.

"I remember because I helped her do them."

She took another.

"I re-re-remember when I spilled some on the carpet. She wasn't mad at all."

Her voice trembled as Sango finally approached her, wrapping her arms around the girl.

"What happened to me Sango? God! What HAPPENED?"

No one said anything.

They were so caught up in the moment. They didn't realize Mrs.Higarashi had woken.
