~“but no, I…think of it as a reminder, that no matter how powerful I may be there will always be others as or more powerful and I am mortal no matter how immortal I seem.”~
Thrusting into the heated cavern of his brothers ass InuYasha growled low in his throat as Sesshoumaru came, crying out his pleasure, his inner muscles clenching and unclenching and when he came he acted on instinct and buried his fangs deep into his brothers shoulder. Right were it connected to his throat, the hot taste of blood and Sesshoumaru startled cry and then deep moan only making his orgasm harder, his thrusts wild as his hips jerked and he filled the elder demon with his seed.
And when the rollercoaster of pleasure stoped and he lay on top of his brother he realised what he'd just done and sprung up away from his dazed lover, the taste of Sesshoumaru still in his mouth.
“InuYasha,” Sesshoumaru said sitting up, his stomach muscles clenching as his rather battered backside protested the position.
5 rounds would hurt anyone, even a demon, especially if there was no real resting period in-between.
“InuYasha, what's wrong?” he asked though he had a fair idea.
InuYasha loved his miko, no matter what she did.
He wished to mate her.
He was just using Sesshoumaru because he had a desire to be with him, not because he loved him or wished to mate with him.
No he was just sating a lust and Sesshoumaru had always known there was a very high chance that he, Sesshoumaru would be left alone, with his love unreturned and unwanted.
“I…I can't do this,” InuYasha said staring at the bloody mark on his brother throat.
“I'm sorry, I…I have to go,” he said and as he jerked his clothes on he said “You're all better. Back to your original, lordly self, so you don't need me,” jerking on his hoari he nodded to his own statement.
“Yeah you don't need me, so…I'll see you `round,” he said before rushing off, not listening as his brother whispered “But I love you,” his pain evident.

Naraku laughed as he watched InuYasha run, leaving a nude, hurt Sesshoumaru by the hot spring, watching as his mate ran away. InuYasha had done something he hadn't even thought of. He'd taken away Sesshoumaru's only chance at a mate; for once marked demons are impotent around all others but their mates until that mate died. While he could still take who ever he chose, Sesshoumaru would be on his own, neglected, and unmateable. Oh, InuYasha had just done the next best thing to killing his brother with his choice of punishment.
Or maybe it had been an accident, mayhap the boy had acted on instinct and marked his brother and now regretted it.
It didn't change the facts.
Sesshoumaru was now out of the game.
And in love with his run away mate.
Tears tangled in Kagura's lashes as she watched InuYasha run away from his brother, that look, that haunted, hurt look on Sesshoumaru's face was heartbreaking. The demonic lord had had no choice in the matter of mating his brother; he'd probably not even thought about it, had probably had thousands of lovers though she doubted that the lord would allow another to have him on the bottom. Or perhaps it was the way Sesshoumaru liked it, to be dominated. Alpha betas weren't uncommon; when the alpha, the more dominate of the pair was the beta sexually.
But he loved InuYasha, it was in the way he called for him, in his golden eyes when he wasn't guarding his emotions, in his actions and now in his words.
That pain filled, “But I love you,” went right to her soul, the heart that no longer beat in her chest clenching at the aching note in Sesshoumaru's voice.
He'd always known he'd loss InuYasha it was plain in his voice and the way he swallowed and stood, gingerly re-entering the hot spring.

Swallowing Sesshoumaru stood and gingerly re-entering the hot spring, washing the sweat, blood and other bodily fluids from his over sensitive skin, refusing to allow his tears to fall. 650 years of learning to hold, control and bottle his emotions making it easy to keep his face and eyes blank though he knew that it was only a fragile hold on the façade he'd erected years ago under the watchful eyes of his mother. Untangling his knee length hair took time and by the time he was dried and dressed the sun had long since risen. InuYasha having left only an hour before dawn.
Flinching he flicked his tail over his shoulder and turned his face set in stone, his eyes solid gold and a deadly air to him as he set out for his palace.

Rin screamed with joy at the sight of her lord who had been gone for over two weeks, rushing up and to everyone's astonishment, instead of telling her to stop he knelt down and lifted her up, positioning her on his hip, his armour missing.
“Sesshoumaru-sama, where's your armour?” she asked smiling at him.
Looking at his adopted daughter Sesshoumaru forced his tears away and said “It was broken,” which was a lie, he'd left it behind after he'd been changed into a small boy.
Though Naraku probably didn't realise it Sesshoumaru had been turned all the way back to a two year old, though he'd aged rapidly on that first day.
The day InuYasha had saved him.
Closing his eyes he headed inside, Cratus at the door with a small confused smile on his face.
“My lord,” his old friend said coolly and he nodded.
“My office,” he said then added “Please,” which made Cratus's eyes widen.
He hadn't used that word around the palace since he'd been little more than a pup; Cratus had begun to think his lord had forgotten it.
“Of cause my lord,” he said watching as Sesshoumaru handed the small human child to her nanny and turned on his heals heading straight into his office though he had to be tired. Cratus knew his lord rarely slept while out in the wilds of the west.
He didn't trust easily.
Taking his seat behind his desk Sesshoumaru waited until the healer sat on the other side and said “I have given an open invitation to my brother and his pack and the wolf prince Koga.”
Chocking on his tongue Cratus stared at his lord before stammering, “Wh…what? My lord?”
A brief chuckle left the younger demons mouth before he spoke, “I have given an open invitation to my brother and his pack and the wolf prince Koga. Please inform the guards of this. And no I will not tell you were I have been or who with,” he said answering Cratus's unspoken query.
“Very well,” Cratus said.
“You have a request from the Baron of Sasayaki for add in a small dispute between two warring families, they are large, demon families angered about their youngests' mating each other and getting out of arranged matings,” Cratus said and Sesshoumaru sent a silent thanks to the healer for changing the topic.
“Send four guards, two for each family, tell them to call for assistance if need be,” Sesshoumaru said flicking a wayward strand of silver hair behind his back.
“Yes, my lord,” Cratus said and watched his lords eyes get a far away look and a brittle light to their golden hue.
“Cratus…” Sesshoumaru began then shook his head “Never mind, you're dismissed,” he said.
Standing Cratus walked over to the sliding door then turned back as Sesshoumaru lifted a sheet off the now foot tall pile.
“My lord, if I may say, it's good to have you home,” he said having the strangest feeling that his lord needed to be told he was wanted, needed…loved.
Looking up Sesshoumaru gave Cratus a small smirk and said “You just don't want to do any more paper work,” he teased then ignored the healers presence as the man gaped.
Sesshoumaru had just been playful.
Sesshoumaru was never playful.
Shaking his head he left the room and headed for his chamber something telling him things were changing but not if it was for good or ill.
