Chapter one

Day at the beach

 

A/N: This is my first fic!Please don't flame!
Editors note: Hiya, I'm helping my girl Kira *pulls Kira in view* with her fic. Don't mind the spell check too much please since English isn't Kira's and mine mother language.
Disclaimer: We don't own Inu Yasha, if we did … we wouldn't write this story but simply mess up the anime to our likes haha :P

Kagome sighed as she pulled the yellow strand bag out of Sango's car. The sun was burning her skin and she couldn't wait to lie down on her towel and do completely nothing besides getting a tan. Dragging the over-sized yellow backpack over the parking lot towards the beach she heard Sango hum the song they just heard on the radio on their way to the beach. From the quick sound of slippers hitting the parking lot she guessed Sango was jogging towards her. `Who could jog in this temperatures? Even if it is for only five meters' Kagome though.
”So, ready to do totally nothing but lying in the sun today?” Sango asked in a happy tone.
”Hell yeah! It will be a perfect time out from all our work” Kagome said as she made a stop to try and pull of her slippers as the parking lot ended and the sand of the beach started. Sango did the same and then grabbed the big backpack from Kagome's left shoulder as she notice that Kagome started to wobble when trying to pull off her slippers with one foot in the air and one arm reaching out towards her feet to pull the slipper off and with the other arm trying to find balance since the big bag was pulling her left side down.
”Thanks” muttered Kagome as she felt Sango grabbing the backpack and relieving her from its weight.
”You looked really elegance doing that you know” Sango laughed at her own remark as the image of Kagome trying to take a her slippers off flashed into her mind.
“He you try doing it once!” Kagome remarked but then noticed that Sango was already walking down the beach, slippers and backpack in her hands. Quickly she pulled off her slippers and ran down to Sango as the hot sand beneath irritated her feet.

Sango let her eyes wander over the beach trying to find a good spot to settle down. She walked a steady pass so her feet didn't got burned by the hot sand. As she looked back to check if Kagome was still following her she saw that Kagome was having a hard time as well on the hot sand. She turned her head back towards the water when she spotted an empty space, quickly walking towards it she let herself fall down on the sand the backpack making a loud `thump' as she dropped it as well. Kagome's body soon followed as she finally caught up with Sango.

After they pulled out their towels and something to drink they both lied down to finally relax. After a good two and a half hour Kagome got bored with the doing nothing and turned around to face Sango. “Hey wanna do something?”
“Like what?” Was the half asleep answer of her best friend.
”We could play volleyball!” Kagome enthusiastically said as she already reached out towards the backpack where she was sure she put a ball in it this morning.
“There's no WE in playing volleyball Kagome since YOU are the only one who can play it”
”I can teach you” Kagome whined. Sango just gave her a death glare but said nothing. After a few seconds Sango sighed and started to sit up and stretch herself a bit.
”Well come on then” Sango said as she stopped the stretching and stood up. Kagome just gave her a smile and started digging further into the bag to find the ball. After a few second she found it and stood up. Walking to an open spot she told Sango the basics of the sport (E/N: I'm so sorry but I'm only an editor and I have no clue whatsoever about volleyball so if I type something wrong about the sport: I`m very sorry please understand I don't have one clue what I'm writing about when it comes to volleyball)

“Okay Sango here it comes” Kagome yelled to the other side as she shot the ball towards Sango.
”I'm only a beginner” Sango whined as she started running towards the side witch the ball was going to. When finally Sango reached to the spot the ball was heading to she gave it a big whack sending it back towards Kagome.
Kagome was amazed … amazed that Sango could make a ball fly so far from it's original goal, what was her. Of course you where suppose to ran after the ball but Sango made the ball fly so far away from Kagome that Kagome started to wonder if Sango could even see straight.
”I'm so sorry!” she heard Sango yell as Kagome walked towards the spot the ball landed.

“It's okay, just try to make the ball come at least ten meters in my reach please!
”Ten?! Can't you make that a twenty?”
Kagome sighed as she threw the ball back as Sango and steadying herself to run at least twenty meters to reach the ball knowing Sango's bad aim. As soon as Sango send the ball flying back towards Kagome she notice that this time she actually did it quite well. Sango watched as Kagome ran as quickly as she could to make sure she could hit the ball back towards Sango before it would hit the ground. Unfortunally Kagome had only eye for the ball and not for the person standing right in front of her. With a big smack she knocked the person to the ground and pulling herself with it. Before she knew what was happening Kagome saw the ball hit the sand and that made her wonder what she actually hit. Looking up she noticed she was draped all over a guy who was rubbing head and muttering some curses.
”I'm so sorry! I was so caught up in the game” Kagome quickly started to apologize as she stood up dusting her body and bikini off.
”You better be sorry wench!” the guy snapped at her.
”He! It wasn't like I planned this or something!” Kagome's blood started to boil. `Who does he think he is? I apologized did I? And it's not like one of us got seriously hurt or something'

Inu Yasha looked up from the ground towards the girl who suddenly from a sweet apologizing voice went over to an angry voice. The sun blinded him a bit and so he stood up to tell her what was on his mind.
”Your not the only people around here okay! So you better watch out bitch!”
As he finally stood straight again he took a closer look at the girl who bumped into him. To his amazement she was gorgeous. `He, not bad' his mind said as he looked her up and down.
”Bitch?! BITCH?? Now you listen you-“
”Just leave it Kagome” Sango suddenly said standing beside Kagome with the ball in her hands, “It's not worth it Kagome”.
”Yeah you listen to you little friend here Kagome” Inu Yasha whispered in Kagome's ear in a mocking tone.
With that Kagome suddenly gave Inu Yasha a punch in the stomach. It didn't hurt, nor did he even flinch at it. But he was shocked at the fact that she hit him. Didn't she notice he was a half demon, being able to tear her apart without a second though? `and there I was thinking I was the one who always acted out of fury never thinking about the consequences'
”Leave it Inu Yasha” a guy with black hair in a low pony tail from the beach bar yelled.
”Shut up Miroku, stay out of this” Inu Yasha yelled back not noticing Kagome and Sango where walking away. Miroku just sighed behind the beach bar and took a sip of his drink before he suddenly jerked up his head.
”Sango? Sango Taiya? Is that you?”
Sango's head turned towards the sound of her own name. Suddenly vaguely recognizing the voice she turned around totally, ignoring Kagome's angry talk about evil men on beaches.

“Miroku Chikan?”
”Hai! My dear Sango so good to see you again!”
Sango walked towards the beach bar smiling happily as she walked straight towards Miroku.
Kagome, who suddenly noticed Sango wasn't listening to her story, saw Sango walk towards the beach bar and quickly walked after her.
”Wow long time no see” smiled Sango towards Miroku.
”Indeed, please take a seat” Miroku patted the empty bar seat next to him, “want something to drink?” Sango just nodded her head as she took place in the seat beside the man.
”Does you friend want a drink as well?” Miroku smiled towards a fuming Kagome who sat down besides Sango.
”Yes she does” Sango said as she saw that Kagome wasn't in a happy talking mood, “Wow we haven't seen each other since elementary school!”
”We simply grew apart when we went to high school” Miroku smiled at her, “I see beauty didn't fail you”. Sango blushed and looked down, before she suddenly jerked up her head and slapped Miroku straight in the face.
”You pervert! You where touching my behind” Miroku simply grinned and didn't reply still feeling a little dizzy in his head from the smack.
”What is SHE doing here” an angry voice came from beside Miroku. Kagome looked up only to see Inu Yasha beside Miroku.
”Ah, she's the companion of the lovely Sango” Miroku said smoothly towards Inu Yasha, his head already feeling better but a red handprint was forming on his cheek. Inu Yasha just glared at Kagome.
”Oh come on Kagome. Pull a happy face, that little incident with the two of you wasn't that bad. Just calm down and enjoy the chat” Sango said shushing towards Kagome, “Meet Miroku Chikan, an old elementary school friend of mine. We grew apart since high school so I haven't seen him in like … forever”
”That's great, write a book about it” Kagome replied full with sarcasm.
”Oh Kagome, cheer up already. Acting the way you do now isn't going to help you at all”
Kagome ignored Sango's comment as she accepted her drink from the bar tender. Sango just looked at her before also accepting her drink and started chatting up with Miroku. After about half an hour Sango noticed it was time for her and her grumpy friend to hit home.
”I'm so sorry Miroku but we have to leave” Sango said as she stood up from her chair. Kagome looked happy for leaving this place and also stood up, shoving her empty glass towards the bar tender.
”That's to bad Sango,” Miroku mentioned as he paid for the drinks, “he I'm giving a party at my house tonight I would be very happy if you two girl would come as well” Sango quickly shot a glance at Kagome who simply raised her shoulders. “That's great, we'll be there!”
”Still know where I live” Miroku asked Sango and shot her a smile.
”Yeah … I do” Sango said slowly getting lost in his smile, `well beauty didn't fail him over the years either' she though.
Inu Yasha just sipped his drink, ignoring the other completely, but silently stealing some glances towards Kagome. Noticing his glass was empty he saw no reason to stay since staring at Kagome was out of option. “Well I gotta go as well, see you at the party tonight Miroku” Inu Yasha said.
”HE is coming as well?!” Kagome almost yelled.
”Well … yeah he's my best friend you know” Miroku replied.
”I'm not going Sango!” Kagome said towards Sango as she saw Inu Yasha walking away, “He's such an asshole!” Inu Yasha pretended he didn't hear, but as he walked his doggy ears twitched, hearing every word. `I'll make you choke on your words girl. I must have her' he though to himself.
”Yo Kagome, calm down, people are starting to stare” Miroku mentioned.
”Don't worry, we'll be there” Sango said towards Miroku, while dragging Kagome away.

”Your going to that party Kagome,” Sango fumed towards Kagome while packing their big yellow backpack again and dragging it back towards the parking lot, “if it's the last thing I do” she said as she tried to pull on her slippers while holding on the heavy backpack as well.
”Why are you so desperate to get me to that part Sango?” Kagome asked as she pulled on her slippers and taking over the backpack from Sango before she would fell over while trying to put on her slippers.
”Because your not leaving me alone with Miroku”
”Afraid?” Kagome asked in a teasing tone.
”No … nervous”

The girls giggled as they got into the car.

E/N: So how did I edit it people?! *hears nothing* … I'm insulted! Owh well I still have Kira *almost hugs Kira to death* I hope you think it's okkie what I made of it girl!? PS: Miroku's last name I gave him (Chikan) means pervert in Japanese ^^ I though it was fitting haha. Well till tha next chap, lemmi know what you peopkle think of Kira's fic!
