Kouga: Woman, you better not make me look stupid.

Tsukikage: Who me? *wide-eyed innocence*

Kouga: Yes you! On the other story that you never posted, you made me look SO stupid!

Tsukikage: But you were so nice to people!

Kouga: That's my point!

Moonlight: Stop having such a temper!

Kagome: Yeah! You're as bad as Inu-Yasha!

Inu-Yasha: What do you mean as bad as me, wench?

Kagome: ...... Inu-Yasha?

Inu-Yasha: What

Kagome: SIT!

Inu-Yasha: Xx

Tsukikage: Okay, Shippo, do your stuff!

Shippo: Lady Tsukikage does not own the cast of Inu-Yasha. They were created by Rumiko Takahashi and they don't belong to Tsukikage!

Tsukikage: That's right! I'm poor as it is! I don't need a lawsuit!

Moonlight: And I'm owned by Lady Tsukikage and that's all she owns! Onward to the fanfiction!

Chapter 1: The Unrequited Love

Moonlight sat on a large and flat rock, surrounded by male wolves that wanted to be her mate. She didn't acknowledge to any of them. But her attention was focused on a single male, Kouga. He was the leader of the pack, often known as a wolf prince because he certainly acted like it. He strongly disliked dog-typed people, weather they were full-blooded youkais or hanyous. He had his black hair pulled into a high ponytail, unlike other wolf youkais who hid their pointed ears with their long hair. His clear blue eyes were usually full of mischief but it changed like the sky of the earth. Like other wolves, his fur was a sun-bleached brown with some lightened. He even acted like the very wolves he ruled!

Moonlight sighed as she watched Kouga flirt with a few female wolf youkais. The one getting the most attention, Jashina, seemed to be draped over his shoulders. Jashina was a typical beautiful wolf youkai. Well-groomed brown fur, sun-bleached with light brown; wavy perfect black hair; and bright blue eyes. Very much unlike Moonlight. The color of her fur reflected her name. She was one of the Royal wolves, born every five hundred years with white fur, blond hair and violet eyes. Other wolves often called her a freak when she wasn't with her pack. Moonlight, herself thought that she was strange, being surrounded by other wolves that had brown fur and blue eyes. Majority of them had black hair, like Kouga.

Moonlight knew that she would have to choose a mate soon or be used to make a connection with another pack with marriage. Her pack thought that she just disliked males and would refuse any youkai who asked to be her mate. But she didn't dislike all the males, she only wanted Kouga. She closed her eyes as she remember the time Kouga rescued her from a particularly rough wolf, Kenji, who wanted her as his mate.

~*~ Flashback ~*~

Moonlight turned her head as Kenji tried to kiss her. "Why are you being such a tease?" he demanded as he tried to kiss her again "You act as if you want to be my mate, then push me away again!" Moonlight tried to push him away but Kenji pushed her until they were against a wall in a cave. "But I don't want to be your mate! I never did!" Moonlight tried to protest but she could see that Kenji wasn't paying attention. She gasped when she looked into his eyes, they were filled with lust and desire. `This isn't happening! Kenji was so sweet before.... Why is he acting like this now?' Moonlight tried to push Kenji away again and this time, she could smell that he had stolen some sake at a nearby village and drank it. `H-he was drinking?!' She closed her eyes `I just can't push him off! He's too strong!' Her eyes flew open when she felt him pull her clothes up. She was shocked to see that he was already nude. "P-please, stop..." she whimpered but she knew that no one could stop him from raping her now. Kenji just grinned and groped her. Moonlight closed her eyes again and prayed to Selene, the Goddess of the Moon and Celestial, the Goddess of the Night that someone would come and rescue her.

Moonlight felt Kenji being pulled away from her. She opened her eyes and saw Kouga holding Kenji by his ear. "Just because she's in heat doesn't mean that you can go and try to mate her without her consent, Kenji." Kouga informed him. "Now go before I change my mind and kick you out of the pack!" Kenji quickly dressed and with one last black glare at Kouga, he exited the cave. Kouga knelt down and peered at Moonlight.

"Are you okay?"

Moonlight had scampered into a corner while Kouga was lecturing Kenji. She nodded meekly to Kouga's question. Kouga smiled gently and gave her a hand to help her up from her corner. "Come on, let's go back to the rest of the pack. If Kenji or anyone else gives you any trouble just tell me. Okay?" Moonlight nodded and gave a soft "thank you"

~*~ End of Flashback ~*~

Kenji and his friends ambushed Moonlight a few weeks later, attempting to rape her again. But this time, her best friend, Lauren, was with her and she ran back to tell Kouga what was happening. Kouga arrived and rescued Moonlight again. But this time instead of giving them a warning, Kouga just drove them out of the pack, turning them into rogue wolves. Rogue wolves that no other pack would accept.

Moonlight opened her eyes. 'I think I should go take a bath. Maybe Lauren will join me.' She got up and went over to the other female wolf. "Hey, I'm gonna go take a bath in the hot spring nearby, wanna come?" Lauren shook her head "and be seen naked by those hentais? Nah. You go ahead!" Moonlight laughed "Very funny, Lauren. Very funny…" Lauren just snickered in reply. Moonlight smiled "I'm gonna take a walk after that. So I won't be back for a while." Lauren nodded and went to take a nap with her mate, Subaru.

As Moonlight walked to the spring, she wondered why she was so different from other wolf demons 'Mama told me that I was because I'm a wolf demon with special powers. But if I had special power, Mama, why does everyone besides Lauren and Kouga shed away from me when I'm near?' She paused, sensing some people coming. 'A hanyou, three humans and a kitsune demon… What an odd pack…' she mused. She quickly jumped into a tree, hidden by its many branches and leaves

Kouga glanced up when he saw a white female wolf youkai rise. 'Hmmm…. Wonder what she's gonna do…' he silently watched as she spoke to another female, a straight-haired brunette youkai with amber eyes. She laughed at something the wolf said, too far away from him to hear and then left the pack home through the waterfall. "Kouga… what are you looking at?" Jashina purred. Kouga was started out of his thoughts "Huh? Oh. Sorry, Jashina. But I gotta go. Later." Using his speed, he quickly left the large cave, which was home to his pack.

Jashina pouted "But Kouga…" Justin, another pack member, walked over "Feh. He's already gone." Jashina sighed 'Hmph. I bet he's going after that white ohkami youkai.' Her face darkened. 'Stupid whore. You're not going to take away MY mate!' Jashina growled softly. Justin heard it and smirked. "So… Since Kouga's not her, can I substitute?" Jashina smiled seductively "sure…. Let's see what you can do…" She led him to the very back of the large cave. Soon the remainder of the pack heard sighs, groans and moans from where the two youkais went. 'Gross' Lauren though as she moved even closer to the entrance. 'Thank Kami-sama, that Moonlight's not here! She'll be attacking Jashina in no time! I swear, Jashina would do ANYTHING for attention and sex!'

Moonlight remained hidden in the tree as the group began to unpack. She found it amusing when the female ningen, wearing odd clothes yelled, "Sit Boy!" when the inu hanyou held up another odd lacy garment with straps. Moonlight was even more amused when the hanyou, sitting on a tree branch, fell and made a body-shaped hole when the girl yelled. She chuckled softly when the young kitsune demon teased the hanyou. 'Inu-Yasha… That's what the Kitsune called him. The female that yelled at him is Kagome…' Moonlight smiled as the kitsune continued to taunt at the stuck hanyou 'heh… He reminds me of the wolf pups when they were only a few weeks old.'

As soon as Inu-Yasha was able to get up from the hole, he hit the kitsune. 'He's a bit rough on the edges… A bit dense too… But he seems to have a good heart. Ehhh? I can't believe he hit the pup!' Moonlight prepared to reveal herself when she caught the scent of a familiar wolf youkai approaching. 'Uh-oh… Kouga's coming! I can't let him know I'm here! Consider yourself lucky, Inu-Yasha, or else I would have made you pay for hurting the pup!'.

"Inu-Yasha! Stop hurting Shippo!"

Moonlight took account of the young demon's name.

"So you only hurt the young, you insolent puppy? That is so…you"

Moonlight was startled to hear Kouga. 'How could I have forgotten? He was the reason I didn't attack that hanyou!' Moonlight continued to watch the wolf prince, wondering what he was going to do.

The sight of Kagome yelling greeted Kouga, "Sit Boy!" and Inu-Yasha doing a face-plant from a tree branch to the ground as usual. The kitsune, Shippo, taunted him and was struck by Inu-Yasha as soon as he was freed from the spell. He than made his presence known and greeted the group by saying "So you only hurt the young, you insolent puppy? That is so…you"

Inu-Yasha yelled, "Shut up, you wimpy wolf! You're only strong because you have three shikon shards embedded in your body! You're only using its power to be strong!" Kouga coolly glanced at Inu-Yasha "Hmph. That's how much you know about me. First, the shards are only used as a back up in case I grow tire in a fight. Second, I've trained my body for years to be this fast and strong so if the shards were taken away, I can still fight." Inu-Yasha's ears flattened against his skull as he growled "What are you doing here, Kouga?" Kouga gave him a look that clearly stated, "What do you think, dufus?" He then rolled his eyes and said, "I'm coming to take my woman away from you. Duh." Sango, Miroku and Shippo, who were previously roasting lumps that Kagome called "marshmallows" over the fire, jumped up and yelled, "No way is Kagome coming with you!" They prepared to fight Kouga.

Moonlight was crushed to hear Kouga call a ningen his "woman". 'That meant that the girl, Kagome, was his mate!'. She was stunned to realize that her chances with him dropped down to zero. 'N-n-no! Why would he want to mate a HUMAN?' She came out of her thoughts when she heard Inu-Yasha shout, "Shut up, wimpy wolf! You only want her because she can see the shards of the Shikon no Tama! Face it, wolf, she's mine!" Kagome went starry-eyed "Oh, Inu-Yasha…" Inu-Yasha continued, "She's my shard detector!" Kagome became annoyed "Ehhh?! Shard detector? Is that all I am to you?! Just a shard detector and a copy of Kikyo?!" Inu-Yasha blinked "What's wrong with that?" Sango, Miroku and Shippo sighed. Inu-Yasha was soooo DEAD! Miroku took the opportunity to trail his hand downward…

=SLAP=

"Hentai!" Sango shouted. Miroku was now sporting a Sango-Handprint.

"But I…."

Shippo sweat dropped "Miroku, that was BAD timing… Sango's worried about Kagome leaving!"

Inu-Yasha and Kagome were loudly arguing while Kouga was forgotten. It quickly ended with a…

"Sit sit sit sit sit sit sit…" She took a deep breath and continued "Sit sit sit sit sit sit sit sit SIT!!"

Kouga peered down the 10-foot Inu-Yasha-shaped hole "Ouch" he mumbled. Kagome stomped into the forest.

"B-but K-kagome…"

"SIT"

Tsukikage: That's the End of Chapter 1! I hope you liked it!

Kouga: Feh. At least you didn't make me look stupid, wench...

Tsukikage: ... Kouga?

Kouga: What do you want, woman?

Tsukikage: STAY

Kouga: *face-plant* Kuso! What's wrong with you?!

Tsukikage: My name is Lady Tsukikage. You can call me Lady or Tsukikage. NOT wench, woman, human or whatever other nickname you have. Got it?

Kouga: Fine, fine, *mumble*

Tsukikage: What was that?

Kouga: Nothing!

Kagome: As you can see, whenever Tsukikage-san says "stay", the result is the exact same thing when I say "sit" to Inu-Yasha

Inu-Yasha: *face-plant* O.o Kagome!

Kagome: Oh, sorry! Didn't mean it! Really!

Shippo: XD hehe... Anyway, Review, Review, Review!

Moonlight: Hey, do I get the "stay" spell power too?

Kouga: *face-plant* ...

Tsukikage: yup!

Moonlight: Alright! Remember, stay in touch!

Kouga: *face-plant* evil woman...

Japanese -> English Dictionary

Jashina- that's the name I gave a female wolf. She's convinced that Kouga will choose her as his mate as soon as the time comes. Jashina is the feminine version of "Jashin", which means Wicked Heart.

Tsukikage- This means Moonlight ~.^

Ningen- Human

Youkai- full-blooded demons

Hanyou- half demon, half human. Is born when one parent is a demon and the other is a human.

Kuso- Damn (as in "damn it!")
