Love Me. I Dare You.
Chapter 1
The name's Inuyasha, Inuyasha Takahashi in fact. And I'm here to save your sorry ass. Yeah, that's right. I'm here to warn you about a game, a game you must never ever play, and I mean fucking NEVER! even if your friends want you to. Even if the girl you like begs you to, and this damned game is… Dare. Why? Keh… Here's my story.
This “game” started with a house, a bus with no driver, a pretty box, and a pretty girl. Wait, no, actually I'm wrong. It started earlier, with a disgusting meaningless word, like… Metastasis. I was around 9,back then, and my mother had it, yeah-tough luck huh? But- there is other nasty words, like Higurashi. Don't ask, means nothing either. Higurashi and “Freak” and “Stupid” yeah ha! They used to call her that, back then, how can I forget… that's when I met her and that's when I began to play.
A nine-year-old boy with silver hair was fiddling with a colorful box; he was kneeling beside a bed. His amber eyes lingering into the designs it held.
“You like it huh?” a sweet feminine but weak voice spoke. “I also think it's pretty”
The boy sat next to his mom, in a joyful manner. The woman looked weak and fragile but she still managed to play with her son.
“Here let me see,” she said while taking the colorful box from him.
“It's a treasure? A real one?” The boy's eyes lid while his mother nodded, tracing the merry go round designs on the box.
“Wow! I've never seen such a cool merry-go-round ever! Maybe on TV but never ever on Earth!”
She smiled to hims and answered softly “I have”
“Where? A real merry-go-round? It really exists mama?”
His mother sighed “Yes, my angel, here…” she placed her hand over her heart “And here…” her hand moved to settle on his small chest.
The boy's eyes glittered and quickly he hugged his mother “And here too!” he said, embracing her firmly.
“Inuyasha. Take the bus today, I have to stay with your mom” a strict masculine voice called from across the room. It walked towards him and tried to separate him from his mother. Inuyasha struggled and growled.
“Off you go, my Nu-Nu (AN:sorry bout the cheesy nick XD)” his mother led him on, but only received a groan from her stubborn son.
His dad was now dragging him out.
“Mom, Mom! Your treasure!” he reached to hand it over, fighting the pull of his father.
She smiled. “Keep it. My only treasure is you”
“Damn him” he frowned while walking to the bus stop.
“AAAAAAAAAHHHHHH”
His ears twicked “What.. the. Was that a yell?” he sprinted to the source of the yelling, suddenly a loud splashing noise came, along with things falling in a poddle. There he spotted a girl, she was kneeling infront of her thrown things and her now soaked notebooks, her face was stained with tears. Inuyasha slowly walked over, watching as she ever so slowly tried picking up her spilled school bag.
“Kagome?”
She lifted her head madly “You're mistaken, I'm the `four eyed freak'”
Kagome began to pick her things up again. The bus driver had left his place to go help the poor girl.
In the background you could hear the chorus of kids in the bus cheering “FOUR EYED FREAK! FOUR EYED FREAK!”
Inuyasha eyed his colorful box.
Kagome had nothing precious that day either, so… I decided to- uh… Share?
Inuyasha stretched his arm out, handing Kagome the merry-go-round box, the girl smiled and took it.
He looked at her “Will you lend it sometimes?”
Kagome frowned “What? You give and take back. You really want this? Prove it. Dare or no dare?”
THAT was it! I KNOW that's how it all really started.
Inuyasha smirked. He rushed to the bus and pulled the break handle off. The bus began to move forward… slowly. With all the kids inside! Kagome with wide eyes stared as the bus was drifting away from them, and naturally Inuyasha had a toothy grin smacked on his face.
“Holy sh- My bus!” the chauffer started chasing the unstoppable vehicle.
Meanwhile Inuyasha was laughing his butt off. He turned around to face the still shocked Kagome. “Dare” he grinned.
Suddenly a hand reached from behind and yanked Inuyasha by the collar.
“What did you do? What the hell did you do?! Answer me!” his father's thunder voice echoed through his sensitive ears.
“Nothing! Kagome don't let him hit me!” he grunted and tried to break loose.
Quickly she dropped her bag and stood beside him “He won't, Stop!”
Now she was pulling on his father's arm, trying to let him go “You have no right!”
The man with his hand raised pointed at her “You be quiet and stay our of this!” his face turned back to Inuyasha “Answer me! What the hell did you just do?”
Inuyasha still grunting and struggling hissed, “Don't let him hit me!! Dare or no dare?”
Kagome was pulling his father's arm harder now, she narrowed her eyes “He won't! DARE!”
Inu Taisho was beginning to loose the little patience he had left.
“Don't! You have no right! Stop!” Kagome was now mad and kicked his ankle lightly.
“Shut up!!!” suddenly a hand flew and collided with her cheek, leaving a slowly darkening pink shade behind.
She lifted up her face and glared at the man. Inuyasha's eyes were the size of plates.
Come to think of it… Dad never liked Kagome, right from the start. And I never forgave him for hitting her like that, that day.
The game just fell into place from then.
InuTaisho closed the door on Kagome's face. Right after that he dragged Inuyasha and shoved him into his room.
If Kagome had the box, I'd do every dare she threw at me.
Then I'd get the box again, and dare her back.
Dead simple. And hell of fun! This was now the routine, we do the dares, we got grounded therefore each got locked in their rooms thanks to their respective parents. A stupid game? Maybe so… hell yeah! But- it was our game. Her… and mine only. Dare.
