It was a starry night and the team huddled around the fire. While Kagome and Sango played with Shippo, Inuyasha and Miroku talked. "So Inuyasha," asked the monk. "What will you do now that Naraku is gone?" Inuyasha scoffed at the question. "Why ask? I'm going to become a full-fledged demon." "I know, but after that." Inuyasha thought for a second. "I…I guess I don't know." "Don't know what, Inuyasha?" Kagome was standing right behind the both of them. "Oh, Kagome, I didn't see you were there." Miroku said. "You shouldn't listen in on our conversations, Kagome." Mumbled Inuyasha. "Oh be quiet Inuyasha!" spat Kagome. "It isn't like you were talking about something secret!" Kagome stormed off. "You know Inuyasha, you sure are tough on some one you care so much about." said Miroku. "Hey! What are you talking about monk?" Yelled Inuyasha. "Well, it's pretty obvious to me how you feel about Kagome." Teased the Miroku. Inuyasha blushed. "You don't know what you're talking about, Miroku." Mumbled the half-demon. With that, Inuyasha leaped off into the surrounding forest. Inuyasha leaped into a tree and lay on a branch. "stupid monk, doesn't know anything." Thought Inuyasha. "I mean who does he think he is? Lecturing me on women! I mean, me like Kagome, what a joke!" as he thought this, he felt himself cringe. "Oh who am I kidding, I love that girl." Inuyasha sunk. "I can't hide it from myself. I love Kagome. I've loved her since I first saw her. She'd never love me though, I'm the guy who's always giving her a hard time." Inuyasha sighed. "I might as well just get some sleep." He said to himself. With that a sullen Inuyasha drifted off to sleep.

That morning, Kagome had gotten up earlier than usual, so she decided to take a walk before the others woke. While Kagome walked down the path, she thought about the future. "Now that Naraku is dead, what purpose do I serve here?" thought Kagome. "I mean, I would love to stay here with all my friends, and Inuyasha." Kagome stopped walking and sat against a tree. "I won't stay if Inuyasha doesn't want me to. Oh I hope he likes me under that tough-guy act of his." Kagome pondered these things for awhile. When she was about to leave, something popped out of the tree above her. When it landed Kagome saw it was a teenage boy in gray robes. "Hi, whatcha do'in?" asked the boy. "My god! You scared me!" gasped Kagome. "What is your name?" "My name is Lorimir Ellisted, elemental sorcerer at your service!" "My name is Kagome, nice to meet you." Kagome held out her hand. The boy laughed. "That isn't such a good idea." Before Kagome could ask why, the boy touched a tree with his pointer finger, which burst into flame. "Each of my fingers control a different element." Explained the boy. "Well, come with me." Said Kagome. "My friends will be happy to meet you. The boy agreed, then followed Kagome back to camp.

Inuyasha opened his eyes to see the sun gleaming through the tree leaves. "I'd better head back to camp." Mumbled Inuyasha. The half-demon jumped out of the tree and ran towards camp. When he got there, the Shippo ran up to him. "Inuyasha, Kagome met this sorcerer and he is really nice!" "What? A sorcerer?" Inuyasha asked puzzled. "Oh just come meet him!" Insisted Shippo. Inuyasha followed Shippo to the back to camp. When they arrived, everyone was talking to a teenage boy with gray robes. "So you're the sorcerer Shippo was talking about huh?" asked Inuyasha. "The one and only." Said Lorimir. "His name is Lorimir." Added Shippo. "Inuyasha, you're back." Inuyasha turned to see Kagome walking towards him. "Oh, hi Kagome." "Inuyasha, this is Lorimir Ellisted. He'll be traveling with us for awhile." Explained Miroku. "Hey fine with me." Agreed Inuyasha. "Excellent, lets get going, shall we?" asked Sango. Everyone nodded, and prepared to leave. While everyone packed, Inuyasha walked over to Kagome. "Hey Kagome?" asked Inuyasha." You aren't going to leave now that the quest is complete, are you?" Kagome was taken aback by Inuyasha's sudden interest in her. "No, of course not, Inuyasha. I'll stay as long as you want me to." They both stared at each other for a couple seconds, then pulled out of the trance. "Oh, uh… we better go." Suggested Inuyasha. Kagome blushed. "Uh, yeah, good idea." the two broke away from each other's stares and continued packing. "Wow," thought Kagome. "That was unlike Inuyasha. He is never that caring. Could he have feelings for me? God I hope so!" Kagome's train of thought was broken as Shippo approached. "Kagome," said Shippo. "We're leaving." "Oh okay Shippo." Answered Kagome. She then finished packing and joined her friends. "Alright," announced Miroku. "When we get to the next town, we can check into an in and relax, agreed?" everyone nodded their heads in agreement. "Well, what are we waiting for?" asked Lorimir. "lets go!" with that, Lorimir ran down the road, followed by the others.

Well, that's the first chapter. The romance gets more intense in to other chapters. And if you're unsure about Lorimir's age, he's 18. hope you enjoyed it!
