While 4 out of the 6 companions talked and laughed, there were two who walked in silence. Inuyasha and Kagome walked in the back of the group, each in deep thought. `Man what am I going to do?' Inuyasha thought to himself. `I don't know if Kagome even likes me, let alone loves me. But, there was the way she looked at me this morning….' Kagome, walking a little in front of Inuyasha, was lost in thoughts of her own. `Oh, this is so stressful!' thought Kagome. `What will I do if I am unable to tell Inuyasha how I feel? Leave? No, I can't leave. Oh why did I fall in love with him?' "Hey you two!" yelled Miroku. "Don't fall behind!" it was then they both noticed that they were at least 5 feet away from the rest of the group. They both ran to catch up to the rest of the group. "Hey Kagome?" asked Inuyasha. "Yes." "Well, um… I was just thinking, if maybe you wanted t…" he was stopped short by Sango. "We're here!" "What did you want to ask me Inuyasha?" Kagome looked at Inuyasha hopefully. "Oh, it was nothing." Mumbled the half demon. The two walked in silence until they got to the village. "Okay," stated Miroku. "there should be an inn in the center of the village." They all walked around and finally found the inn. The group ordered two rooms right next to each other. (one for the boys, one for the girls) then unpacked. "Hey Inuyasha?" asked Miroku. "Yeah, what is it?" Miroku and Lorimir got devilish grins on their faces. "Did you get to first, Inuyasha?" Teased Lorimir. Inuyasha turned bright red. "Why you little runt!" I'll kill you!" Inuyasha chased after the two boys. Meanwhile, in the girl's room, Sango could hear a ruckus. The girls opened the door connecting the two rooms. "Alright, what's go.." Sango stopped herself when she saw Miroku and Lorimir tied up in the window curtains. She burst out laughing. "What's going on Sango?" asked Kagome who was just entering the room. When she saw the boys, she too laughed. Inuyasha got up from the bed. "I'm leaving." Declared Inuyasha. With that, he walked out of the door. Kagome and Sango

went over to the boys and untied them. "Do you think we should go after him?" asked Kagome. "No." said Miroku. "He just needs some time to cool off." "What did you guys do to set him off anyway?" asked Sango. "Oh its better I don't say." Laughed Miroku.

Meanwhile, Inuyasha trudged down the village roads. `Oh what am I going to do?' thought Inuyasha. `I have to tell Kagome how I feel before I explode! But how?' Inuyasha found a bar and took a seat on a stool. "Saki, please." Asked Inuyasha. The bar tender nodded and prepared the drink. "You seem depressed." A man with brown hair was surveying Inuyasha. "Yeah so?" grumbled Inuyasha. The man smiled. "Judging by your attitude, I'd say it's girl troubles, am I right?" Inuyasha's ears perked up. "How did you know?" "years of experience." The man replied. Inuyasha was silent for a minute. "Her name is Kagome." Sighed Inuyasha. "I love her, but I'm not sure she thinks the same." The man chuckled. "I've heard that before. Well here's what I think you should do. I think you should get her alone, and tell her how you feel. If she doesn't agree with it, you move on. Plain and simple." The bar tender brought Inuyasha his drink, which he downed in one swig. He left some money on the table, thanked the man, then left. The man sighed. "Kids these days." Than continued to read his book. With the man's words still drifting in his head, Inuyasha thought about what he should do next. `I could always just tell her how I feel,' thought Inuyasha. `No, that would make me sound stupid. Maybe if I asked her to have dinner with me, or something like that.' This idea appealed to Inuyasha; though he was unsure he had the courage to pull it off. (It's amazing, isn't it? He has the courage to fight things 2x his size, and he can't even ask out a girl. Crazy world, crazy world.) instead of going right back to the hotel, the half demon bounded of into the woods.

Meanwhile, back at the hotel, the group sat and ate dinner. "Guys, I'm worried about Inuyasha." Said Kagome worriedly. "Oh, quit worrying so much," assured Shippo. "Inuyasha can take care of himself." Although Shippo's attempts to calm Kagome helped, she didn't stop worrying. `Inuyasha has been gone for almost the whole day.' Thought Kagome. `What if he got in a fight with some demon and is hurt? Oh Inuyasha, where are you?' as if on a queue, Inuyasha walked thought the door. "Hey guys." Greeted Inuyasha. Kagome got up and grabbed Inuyasha by his shirt collar. "Where were you, Inuyasha? I was worried sick!" Inuyasha blushed a little. `She was WORRIED about ME?' "Well?" Inuyasha snapped his attention back to Kagome. "oh, I was just exploring the town, that's all!" "well tell us next time!" yelled Kagome. "I thought something bad happened to you!" Lorimir and Miroku were sniggering in the corner. Sango shot them a dirty look and they both shut up. "Gee Kagome, I didn't know you cared so much." Kagome blushed "I-I don't, I just don't want you to get hurt, that's all. I have to go." With that, Kagome opened the door and went back into her room. "Kagome, Wait!" Shippo yelled and he ran after her. The two boys started sniggering again, except this time, Inuyasha was standing over them. "Well," Growled Inuyasha "looks like it's curtains for you!"
