Lustful Desires 1

Kaede places a small bundle of sticky rice wrapped in a pink cloth, a small covered container filled with hot tea, another small bundle of cooked beef, and a couple of mangoes in a wooden box. After placing them in an appropriate order, she secures the wooden lid carefully over the food and wraps it in a yellow cloth tying it together with a white slash. After securing the white slash around the bundle with a knot, she turns to her apprentice.

“Here, Kagome, please, take this food to the neighboring village. Please, check up on the ill headman and give him this food that are mixed with a special medicine,” Kaede says to the former modern time girl. Kagome nods and bows reverently to her mentor. “Hai, Kaede-oba-chan. I just have to follow the path from the village to get to the neighboring one, right?” She asks and rights herself back up from her prostrating form.

“Hm,” Kaede nods her head. “But, make sure that you take your bow and arrows with you should you run into any youkai.” Kagome nods once again. She places her bow over her left shoulder and straps her quiver of arrows across her chest over her left shoulder, and then she bends down to carefully pick up the wooden box. She leaves the hut and heads to the path that leads out of the village.

Kagome has walked a good distance away from the village and is coming closer to the forest. Before she can step a foot into the dense forest, the hair on the back of her neck stands up to a presence nearby. She stops mid step and looks around her and into the tall trees for any signs of who she suspects is there. She pretends to make a move into the forest when a black blur zips past her peripheral vision and lands right in front of her. She coughs at the cloud of dirt that picked up from the blur and closes her eyelids to prevent from any getting into her eyes.

“Oi, wench, where the hell do you think you're going? The forest is very dangerous for you to go wandering around in,” a rough voice says sternly. After the dust died down, Kagome looks up into the scowling face of her favorite hanyou. She takes a minute to study his form. His inu ears rest on top of his head with one tilted slightly to her and the other tilted outwards laterally. She moves her eyes down to his hard amber eyes that are staring sternly at her. She internally giggles at his nose sniffing obviously picking up the smell of the food in the bundle and at his scowling mouth that is drawn into a cute pout. His red firerat-clad body is rigid with his arms crossed in front of his chest as he blocks her from getting closer into the forest. The wind picks up and blows their hair around with his nearly wrapping around her form. She couldn't help but be enthralled by the ethereal image he made.

She gives him a grin, “Konnichiwa to you, too, Inuyasha.” She makes a move to side step him, but his body follows her movement preventing her from moving around him. They do this for a few minutes trying to side step each other. Kagome's grin goes away as she huffs and glares at him. He just returns her glare with a triumphant smirk.

“Mou, Inuyasha, will you move already?! I have to check and to take this box of food to the village headman who is ill in the next village,” Kagome huffs and crosses her arms the best she could with the box in her hands annoyed.

“Why didn't you get me so that I can go with you?” he scowls deeper.

“Oh, Inuyasha, I am just going to the neighboring village. It wouldn't have been long.”

“Keh, do you think youkais would have shown you any mercy while you made your little trek?”

“..well, no, but I brought my bow and arrows. My aim has improved over the year, and my miko powers are very...hey, give me that back!” Kagome cries trying to take back the box that Inuyasha snatched out of her hands. “You talk too much, bitch. Let's go already”

“Ooo, you are soo lucky that you are holding that box, otherwise you would already be kissing the ground,” Kagome says to him as she hooks her arm around his hard biceps and snuggles into it. “Keh!” He says as he reflexively flexes his biceps beneath her hand. They begin walking along the path leading into the forest. The path takes them deeper into the forest allowing the couple a chance to look at the beautiful scenery of the sun shining down upon the lush treetops and the forest floor.

As the couple takes another step, the ground suddenly shakes and an opening appears beneath their feet. There is not anything they can do but fall down into the darkness. They fall a few feet on an incline making their feet slide out from under them and land roughly on their butts and continuing to slide quickly down the steep incline. Kagome screams loudly clutching onto Inuyasha's arm as Inuyasha throws the box somewhere else to wrap his arms around Kagome as they slide down. “Shit!” Inuyasha yells out as he and Kagome slide further down in the darkness. They finally slide off the incline to land hard on their butts at the bottom. Both of their breaths are coming in and out heavily from the adrenaline rush.

“Kagome, are you alright?!” Inuyasha exclaims.

“Hai, Inuyasha, w..where are we?” Kagome asks frighteningly as she tries to look around in the darkness with her human eyes. Inuyasha's eyes adjust to the darkness and sees a door across the room.

“Kagome, stay close to me,” Inuyasha says as he wraps his arm around her waist to secure her to him as they make their way towards the door. He flicks his ears and sniffs around trying to pick up anything through the door.  He makes them stop in front of the door hesitant to touch it or to go in.

“What's the matter, Inuyasha?”

“There's a door right in front of us, but I don't know if we should go in or not.”

“Well, we can't just stand here all day let's just open it,” Kagome says. She reaches out to feel for the door at the same time as he moves his hand to push it open, but when they touch the door at the same time, the door slides open quickly and a bright light engulfs them sucking them into the doorway not even letting them utter a cry or a scream. The light dies down, and an evil laughter echoes through the open doorway as the door slowly slides back shut...
