"Hey mom."
"Hello darling. How are you? No Sango?" My mom was in the kitchen cooking and wow it smelt amazing
as usual.
"Nope she has a date. As well as I." I heard her stop moving.
"With who? Tell me about him, this is exciting." She turned the stove down and sat on the couch with
me. "What are you guys gonna do tonight?"
"Well his name is Inuyasha, he's a senior, he's very good looking too. I don't know, he wouldn't tell me.
He just said dress comfy. But I'm gonna go get a nap. Will you be here when he comes to get me?"
"Of course dear. I can't wait to meet him. Go take a power nap hun." She walked up, turned the stove
back and continued cooking. She was humming, she was very excited. I went upstairs, threw my stuff
down and face planted onto the bed.

I woke up to my alarm, an hour before he was supposed to pick me up. I picked out something to wear
and changed. I decided on a pair of khaki Bermuda shorts and a simple red tank top. I found my
discarded Converse and slipped those on. I went to the bathroom and swiped some blush on and went
downstairs.
I looked at the clock and it was a quarter till 6. I sat down with my brother Souta as he played his video
games. "Hey brat, I think you're losing."
"Mom! Kagome is being mean!" Then he lost. "MOM!"
"Souta, there is no need to scream, I'm right here hun." She sat down and waited with me.
"He's just a sore loser. Big baby." The doorbell rang before Souta could say anything else. My mom shot
up and walked to the door. I was nervous, I don't know why either.
"Kagome, your date's here." I walked to the door and liked that he was smiling at my mom.
"Mom this is Inuyasha, Inuyasha this is my mother." They shook hands. This isn't as bad as I thought.
"Over there on the couch is my little brother Souta."
"Hey little guy. What time would you like her home by Miss Higurashi?"
"I don't really care, just make it reasonable. Other than that, if there are any problems call me. Have fun
you two." I walked out of the door and started down the shrine steps.
"So what is the plan tonight? Or is it a surprise?" We reached the bottom and he got in the car.
"It's a surprise. I hope you like it. Get in." I shrugged and got in the car. We drove for about 20 minutes
until we arrived at a mall I've never been too. "Here we are."
"Shopping?" I was confused. Kind of a dud, I didn't bring that much money with me because I didn't
have my bag. He laughed.
"No offense, but I want to have fun too." We walked inside and passed all the stores until we got to a
go-cart track. "Hope you like go-carts."
"I've never done go-carting. I've only driven a couple of times to get my license. I prefer riding bikes or
walking. I'm ready though." I started walking to the sign in counter leaving Inuyasha behind.
We got our tickets and went to our safety video. We then got our helmets and then went to the track.
We got strapped in and waited for the green light. It turned green and I hit the gas. "You drive like a
grandma!" Of course.
"Well I've never driven one of these before!" I slammed on the gas and gunned it. Thankfully they had
bumpers, because I didn't make the turn like I had planned and slammed into the wall. I kept going
really fast trying to catch up the rest of the group. This was actually fun. I still made it to the finish line in
last. "Let's go again!"
"You'll never beat me. But you can always try." He laughed and put his helmet back on.

"That was really fun Inuyasha. I've never been there before."
"That's a relief, I thought you might hate it." He went to say something else but my phone rang. Sango.
"Sorry, one second. Hello? Slow down I can't understand you. Please tell me you're joking. I'll be over
asap." I can't believe it.
"Is she okay? What happened?"
"Your friend Miroku. I can't believe him! They went on a date tonight, and he grabbed some other girl's
butt, when he's out with Sango! I'm gonna kill him! She's crushed." I walked back down the steps and
headed for Sango's house.
"Wait Kagome I'll walk with you." Inuyasha ran to catch up to me.
"Oh no, sorry tonight was nice, but she doesn't want to see either of you. I can walk myself thank you." I
kept walking but stopped when he grabbed my arm.
"I didn't do anything wrong, why can't I walk you? You're being stubborn. Now just let me walk you
bitch."
"Excuse me?" I jerked my arm away and put some distance between us. "Don't ever say that to me
again. I may be stubborn but I am not a bitch."
"Kagome, I'm sorry I don't mean it like that, I'm a hanyou remember?"
"Inuyasha, I can't deal with this right now, Sango needs me." I turned around and quickly walked away
leaving him there."

"Sango, where are you?" I was walking through her house and couldn't find her. I went to the backyard
and saw her on the wooden porch swing. "Hey, I came as fast as I can. So what happened?"
"We went out and he was being flirtatious with every girl he pretty much saw. Even me. I didn't let it get
to me until our waitress came and he winked at her and she ignored me. Other than that it was an
amazing date. I had forgotten about that because he didn't even look at her when she brought the
check. But when we stood to leave and collect her tip, she stuck a piece of paper with her number on it
and he grabbed her. Right there. I just left."
"Are you sure he did or did you see wrong. I know he's flirtatious, but I don't think he'd do that with
you." I didn't know if she was overreacting or it really happened. I hope it was just a misunderstanding.
"I don't know. I didn't see his hand there, it just looked like it, and her facial expression along with it.
How'd you date with Inuyasha go?" We were lightly swinging back and forth.
"It was fun, we went go carting. It didn't end like it should've but that's okay, I will apologize when I see
him Monday. Are you going to call or text Miroku to talk about it?"
"I want to but after that, I don't think he'll ever want to talk to me again. I feel horrible. But of course
I'm going to get defensive, we were on a date Kagome, in public."
"I know but this can only make you guys stronger. I'm gonna head home though. I think I will call
Inuyasha now. I ditched him too." I turned to walk into the house. I poked my head back out to Sango.
"Good timing eh? You have a visitor." I whispered good luck and led him out.
"Forget something Kagome?"
"Sango, can we talk about what happened tonight. Please?"
