“Where the hell was she!?” a very irritated inu-hanyou yelled at no one in particular when he heard the car come up the driveway. Beginning to run out of the well house and getting ready to drag Kagome back kicking and screaming, he suddenly stopped in his tracks when he caught a strange scent in extremely close proximity to Kagome. It wasn't that Dodo (Hojou) guy; nope. This scent was defiantly female. InuYasha slowly crept across the courtyard and made his way to the driveway, keeping under the cover of the bushes that lined the path until he came to the driveway and saw a strange girl in the back seat with Kagome. In a flash his hand was on Tessiaga's hilt, ready to draw the sword at a moments notice.

 

`Wait… Oh crap! I can sense InuYasha's youki! Not good! He probably came to take me back! Should I sit him? I can't leave now! I have to tell Manny about the Feudal Era first,' Kagome thought franticly.

 

“So Kagome are you gonna sit there like a deer in the headlights or are you gonna show me around- hey, is something wrong?”

 

“Oh, umm no, everything's fine. I'll help you unpack, `kay?” Kagome said, carefully, trying to hide her emotions while her eyes were burning holes into one specific bush where specks of fire-rat red could be seen through the leaves.

 

“Yeah, sure,” Manny murmured warily.

 

 

-Two Hours Later-

 

(A/N: I'm too lazy to type out the whole unpacking deal)

 

“Whoa! Who knew I had so much stuff?” Manny said while wiping the sweat from her forehead.

 

“I'm gonna be sore for the next week,” Kagome pointed out while holding her back for emphasis.

 

“Me too,” Manny said with a sigh, “Since we're both sore why don't we sit down, besides I need to tell you something.”

 

“Yeah, I need to tell you stuff too. Manny please don't call me crazy or tell anyone else what I tell you, okay?”

 

“Sure Kagome, but only if you treat what I'm going to tell you in the same way.”

 

“Okay.”

 

-Half an hour later, after a semi-boring explanation-

 

“So let me get this strait. You're a very powerful witch and you have powers and vanquish demons?”

 

“Yeah, just like you're a miko that travels with an inu-hanyou, a total lech of a monk, a fire-neko (fire-cat) youkai, a kitsune youkai pup and a youkai taijia (what???), trying to take down an evil hanyou named Naraku, while also trying to put the Shikon no Tama back together using the Bone Eater's Well to travel through time.”

 

“That's exactly what I was going to tell you! How'd you know already?”

 

“Kagome calm down, one of my active powers is mind reading.”

 

“So, what powers do you have?”

 

“Hmmm, well, astral projection, clairvoyance-also called premonitions, deflection, empathy, temporal stasis, molecular combustion, healing touch, juvenation, levitation, mimicry, orbing, telekinetic orbing, sensing, telepathy, thermodynamic generation and one of my future powers will be electro-mental ignitions.” (A/N: See end a/n for meanings)

 

“No idea what some of those mean. H-how w-well can you sense beings?”

 

“Pretty well, and I know that your hanyou friend-I believe his name is Inu Yasha-has been watching us since we pulled into the driveway. Hey, Inu Yasha come out I won't vanquish you!”

 

As Inu Yasha came through the window he said, “Feh! As if you could hurt me, you're just a human on'na!”

 

At this Manny sighs and then says, “Are your ears completely useless!? I'm a witch you baka!”

 

“Keh! And I'm supposed to believe that?”

 

“Hmm, yeah you bakagete iru inu-hanyou!!!”

 

“I don't believe you.”

 

“I'm as much a witch as Kagome's able to go through the well!!”

 

“So when'd she stop being able to go through?” (What's WITH this?

Did you skip something?)

 

“How `bout I demonstrate for your idiotic ass? Hmm? See that gold candle?” Manny said pointing to a candle across the room. InuYasha nodded. Manny then put her hand out palm-up and said, “Candle.” The candle disappeared and reappeared in her hand.

“Satisfied, baka?”

 

“Yeah… How'd you do that?”

 

“Magick,” Manny said pulling out one of her acoustic guitars.

 

“What's that?” InuYasha asked.

 

This, Red, is a guitar.”

 

“Red? Who's Red? And what's a guitar?” InuYasha asked.

 

“You're Red, and Kagome's Komes or Gome, depends on how lazy I am at the moment, and a guitar is a musical instrument from this time. Hey, Komes should I play `Skin' or “Natural Disaster'?”

 

“Umm, how `bout `Natural Disaster' first.”

 

“What the hell are you wenches talking about?”

 

“SIT BOY!!!”

“Manny will you start playing?” Kagome asked in a sickly sweet voice.

 

“I'm gonna play a different song `kay?” `Because it applies to how you and Red both truly feel.'

 

“Sure.”

“What WAS that!? It nearly made my ears bleed!”

 

“Well that was a new song called `Anyone But You', and if that nearly made your ears bleed then never-I repeat NEVER-go to a concert Red. Gome what'd you think?”

As Manny got eye contact with Kagome she was instantly glad that looks couldn't kill, because if they could the glare she was receiving from one VERY pissed miko would've sentenced her soul to be torn and forced to wander the earth for eternity.

 

`What the fuck is goin' on? I'll never understand females.'

 

`Well I suggest starting to try Red.'

 

(A/N: This conversation in the single quote marks [`'] happens in InuYasha's mind. The italics are InuYasha and the non-italics are Manny.)

 

`Why? And who the hell are you?'

 

`Wow, you even swear in your own mind… Hmm…'

 

`I asked you who the fuck you are!'

 

`Actually you asked who the hell I was, and if you haven't guessed I'm Manny baka!'

 

`Okay...this is really weird. One thing, don't call me baka.'

 

`Whatev.'

 

`Why should I try to understand females now?'

 

`Cause you want to be more than friends with Kagome, right?'

 

`No.'

 

`Liar'

 

`Wench.'

 

`Baka.'

 

`Fuck you.'

“'Kay everyone OUT OF MY ROOM!!” Manny shouted pointing at the door.

Kagome just looked at Manny, wondering what the heck went on between the hanyou and witch as she walked out of Manny's room and down the hall to her own room with InuYasha close behind.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A/N: As promised I have the definitions of Manny's powers

 

Astral Projection: This is when the soul leaves the body and becomes the active part while the body is immobilized, also called the power to be in two places at once.

Clairvoyance also called premonitions: The ability to see visions of the past and the future. It is also known as a passive power.

Deflection: The ability to deflect another's powers away from you and back to the original person.

Empathy: The ability to sense human emotions. The owner also has the ability to alter emotions and transmit their own into others.

Temporal Stasis: This is the ability to slow down molecules to the point where the object or being freezes.

Molecular Combustion: This is the opposite of temporal stasis, this is when instead of slowing molecules down to the point where they freeze, they speed up to the point where they combust.

Healing Touch:The ability to heal a person, by placing your hands over their wounds. It is triggered by love.

Juvenation: This is the power where you can think something and you'll turn into it, this also includes animals

Levitation: The ability to hover in the air.

Mimicry: The ability to copy the powers of another.

Orbing: This is a power only whitelighters and half-whitelighters have. It is their way of transporting from place to place, as well as their plane to the physical plane.
