--------------------

The Naraku battle had been over for years now. They had defeated the abomination but the fight had made a drastic alteration to her time line. In the days before the Shikon no Tama had been shattered, Modern Japan had not believed in the existence of the youkai bloodline. There were always myths, what culture didn't have them? Yet the proof of such had never been concrete and the mortals enjoyed their lives, happy to live in oblivion of what may or may not have been hiding in the dark.

Yet after those days, towards the end of the war, a lot had changed. Kagome Higurashi had suffered a lot, when mortal life had seemed worthless to the youkai that freely roamed Japan. She, a 15 year old girl had seen death and had faced him so many times. Her happy oblivion had been shattered to so many pieces that when she'd returned home she had not been able to smile or laugh carefreely again.

Now 27, she sat at her desk. At that moment remembering those days travelling rural feudal Japan with her friends the demon slayer Sango, the houshi Miroku, Inuyasha her one true love… In the beginning of those journeys their travels had been the greatest times of her life. She had felt like she was part of a special family, with great friends who shared her interests, though bizarre. But towards the end it had so completely changed. Death did that to a person. It made them cold and unfeeling. Her world had further been destroyed when to her horror her friends Sango and Miroku had lost their lives in the final battles against Naraku.

She still remembered it. They had been so close to a wonderful victory. Naraku had been on the defensive, he was all but defeated. Kagome had again accepted the jewel back into her body and with the help of Sesshomaru they had all but vanquished Naraku from the face of the earth. With victory so in their gasp, they had not considered that Naraku would attempt anything and in one fell swoop he'd attacked Sango, Miroku right behind her with a tentacle. It had entered their stomach, both and horror and pain had clouded their face as Naraku's poisonous miasma had began to sink into their bodies. With the power of Tetsusaiga, Inuyasha had lashed out, chopping the vile appendage off but it had been too late. Kagome could still remember the scream that had escaped her lips when the lifeless bodies of her friends had fallen to the ground. Even the mighty sword Tensusaiga had not been able to save them as Sesshomaru struck their body. They had returned only to be reclaimed by death. The miasma's poison had dissolved organs needed for life and so with the dying chuckle of Naraku, Sango and Miroku had faded into the ground gone forever. The tears had started at that moment and they had not stopped for months as she stayed in the village near the forest of Inuyasha. She'd not ben able to leave knowing that they, her true friends had died. The shock of it had not sunk in completely. She'd felt so numb. There was never going to be a moment in time when she would feel Miroku grouping her bottom, nor was she ever going to be able to share those moments of enjoyment with Sango ever again. She'd sat countless hours near the fire hugging onto Shippo for dear life. She'd felt like her very world was to end. And she only succumbed to the need of sleep when Kaede would secret herbs into the meagre meals she forced down.

Inuyasha had not been any better. He had howled such a sound of pure pain at not being able to save his best friends. He run off that day and no one had heard of him. There had been reports filtering through the village of a crazed demon in red who would howl to the moon at night crying and it wasn't till quite long that they had learned that the grief of the lost of his friends had destroyed Inuyasha's mind. Being a half demon, he had not had many friends. Humans stayed away from him because they feared him and demons thought that he was beneath them and the only few ones to accept him he had seen it as his duty to protect them. His heart had shattered so completely when he'd seen the agony they had felt. He was not able to handle not being able to see them again and his sanity fled him from the pressures of knowing that even in his victory he had failed. He suspected that that was what Naraku had hoped for yet he couldn't fight the loss of control. Some where along the way he'd lost Tetsusaiga and with his madness his full youkai power was unleashed. He was a raving demon and he'd killed so many mortals in his haze of Insanity.

But by that time Kagome had already returned to her home so she had not known of this. Kaede was left to cry for him when she heard of the men and women he'd slaughtered. She knew that he would never have done it in reality and she knew that to know that he had taken lives would so kill him. Her tears they were unending as finally Sesshomaru had taken him. No one knew exactly what happened but many whispered that Inuyasha had been killed by his full youkai brother for being such a disgrace that he could not control his demon within.

Kagome in the modern world had had to face a new reality. She had know that it was her fault for when she'd emerged from the well, tired and tearful she'd arrived in a world where youkai, hanyou and ningen resided. She had changed the past and it had been a difficult world to adjust to. She assumed that many of her youkai friends had survived the touch of time but she hadn't wanted to find them, knowing that they would only bring up memories of a time she wanted to forget. Her life had been difficult then. As she'd had to struggle to makeup the months of failed school but being unable to sleep, plagued by the nightmares, she'd spent the waking hours burying herself in her studies, making it to graduate with her friends.

She'd grown up into a fine businesswoman, cold and efficient. She now owned Higurashi Co-op. A chain of stores making her company worth millions. Yet with her fortune she did not feel the joy of accomplishment. She merely lived. Life was life, there was nothing to celebrate as after all the work she would die anyway. This point had been further proven when Kagome's entire family had perished in a plane crash. They'd been caught in a freak storm over the Atlantic Ocean on their way to vacation in Florida. She'd denied going with them, claming the pressures of work hindered her, which had been the truth but more so she had not looked forward to going and her families disappointment when she couldn't feel the joy. That she was supposed to

A little bit of what was left of her soul had died when the news had reached her. The plane had gone down when lightning had struck the right engine, a chance which had heightened due to the wet metal attracting the electricity. On the way down to the freezing torrential waters the plane had exploded into a fiery coffin, killing everyone almost instantly.

She'd been in private meeting with colleagues when the call had come in. Her secretary still remembered the look on her face as she's fainted in the middle of the staff room. It had been a look of such loss, like her world was coming down before her eyes. She'd gotten a bad concussion and when she'd awaken she'd cried for hours praying to God for death. “Please God take me with them please. Do not leave me alone here. I don't want to be alone anymore. Please don't leave me here. Why must I endure when all those I love continue to die?” The nurse coming to attend her had burst into silent tears when she'd heard that. The news of the Higurashi family death had been all over the news. Being someone as influential as she was it couldn't be anything else and so everyone understood and tried to help. But Kagome's eyes after that day were just soulless portals. There seemed to be very little holding her together. She'd gone back to work the very next week even though the rest of the staff, a combination of youkai and ningen had begged her to take a small leave. But that was the last thing she wanted. She did not want to be stuck in the quiet suffocation of her home filled with memories of people who were no more. She knew that the memories would drown her soul and kill what was left of her so she instead chose to willingly bury her self in her work. She was tireless it seemed though the signs of fatigue were beginning to show. She'd hardly been eating but her company was flourishing. With her decline in health her stock portfolio skyrocketed

That is when the letter came. It was short and to the point. It promised a new venture for Higurashi Co-Op and though she was no fool to fall into the traps of greedy sharks and tycoons she always heard them out. Especially as the letter came on Taisho Industries letter head

Dear Ms. Higurashi
I give you my condolences on the recent demise of your loved ones. Taisho Industries has grieved with you.

After much consideration we have decided that it is best to bring this venture to you. As a noted businesswoman your company has received much acclaim and we would like to offer you a proposition. A partnership of sorts. Do not think that it is an attempt to over take your company. We merely are interested in introducing a new brand of marketing and your company is the best suited for the task. We await your answer. Please respond before the week's end. Otherwise someone else will be considered

S Taisho
President

She'd looked at the masculine scroll on the thick paper blankly for a moment before re-reading it multiple times. She knew that she should have been thrilled as Taisho Industries was one of the biggest companies in the world. Yet though she acknowledged it as a great business opportunity, even if to at least hear them out, she did not feel the excitement that she was supposed to. She readily acknowledged that something was wrong with her, but there was not much she could do about it so after much thought she replied with affirmative to the letter

~***~

Response came almost immediately. The next day her secretary relayed the information from the Taisho Head Assistant. Mr Taisho was meeting with the Chairmen of his board at his estate and he requested her presence there that Friday. He was at the moment in Switzerland on important business trip and would be there early Saturday morning. The Taisho Company helicopter would pick her up on Friday evening at the top of the Higurashi Co-op head building and take her to the secret location of the estate. He'd requested the weekend at least or the week at most. The deal was of crucial importance and it would be vital that she made plans for that. Further more information was required which the secretary relayed and the message had ended. With a mod Kagome had gone back to her work. It seems her company may be increasing its already substantial revenue. The meeting promised to be interesting. Not only because of the mystery but also because no one outside of the higher offices of the Taisho Industries had met the President or chairmen…

~***~

Kagome sat passively within the luxurious helicopter that had arrived at the top of her company's building promptly. Night time Tokyo was beautiful from the sky she thought as they rushed over the vast lands in increased speeds. Her mind was occupied. It was time to think like the business tycoon she was. She did not think that the chairmen of Taisho Industries would attempt to trick her but it was not uncommon that these things happened. Men, even though it was the modern era still did not think that women had rights to own such a company and many had underestimated her because of said female hood. She was setting herself up to be prepared for any deception that may be in the works. She had done extensive research on the company in that week, learning fiscal periods, public revenue and information that only fellow business owners were privy to. She knew that there were things that she could not be able to access but the information she had gathered had been sufficient.

The helicopter began a slow decent rousing the woman who'd dosed off from the soothing motion of the ride. One would think that the death of her family would teach her fear of flight but she was practical, she'd also suppressed the fact that she was all alone in the world. There was nothing she could do and flight was the only way to get to where she, as a prominent businesswoman needed to be. The polite pilot opened her door for her saying “We have arrived Higurashi-sama. May I aid you?” And he extended a hand, which she gladly accepted, bestowing him with a small polite smile as she uttered her thanks. It was already dark and a chilly wind touched her body coursing her to shiver. They walked to the front entrance of the fortress type building, huge gates opening to admit the woman and pilot as he carried the bags for her. She gasped at the beauty of her surroundings. She had expected the luxury but this was beyond what even she had thought. The entire building was made of white almost spotless marble. The lands were huge, as cultivated grass spread out as far as she could see. The scent of it filling her with nostalgic feeing of days in a feudal time, when she'd been carefree, roaming the lands of Japan. She did not feel like exploring anymore and continued to walk, her eyes forward. But then the hairs on the back of her neck stood up. It was this feeling one got when someone was looking intently at them without their knowledge. Her eyes slowly darted up to a window at the 3rd story of the building. It seemed like a pair or red eyes were looking at her and feeling her heart pick up she froze, blinked not knowing if it was a trick of the night or not. But when her eyes had gone back to the window there was no one. Nothing. Just a symmetrical window, identical to all the other ones. And so she forgot about it, shaking it off as tiredness and the trick of her mind.

They entered the home of the S. Taisho and quickly a demon woman came over to welcome her with a bow, though it seems slightly forced. A smile touched Kagome's lips `Even today these youkai still dislike the humans' but she said nothing, apart from the smile, not acknowledging the stiffness in the woman's back. A young servant boy, also youkai was ushered forward to grab hold of the bags from the pilot who gave a polite bow and was on his way out the door.

Vague details were relayed to her as she was lead to her room by the lady who'd introduced herself as Tamiko. Kagome had already known them so she merely nodded at appropriate times thanking the woman for her kindness in accepting an unexpected guest. She also promised to try to not be too much trouble. Those were the basic pleasantries that one uttered from habit yet they seemed to have an effect on the woman, completely changing her attitude as a true smile touched her lips.

“You're welcome my dear. I am glad to help. If you need anything simply ask.” She bowed and left the young lady to her self after Kagome had refused a meal politely claiming tired. And the claim had not been a false one for she was exhausted. Taking a quick shower she collapsed on the soft bed with a tired sigh where she fell asleep.

Her dreams were plagued with demons. This had become the norm, yet after years she still woke up in a cold sweat, sorrowful of the events of her life. But tonight a persistent gleam of red had been recurring. Her mind continued to think of the eyes shed thought she'd seen. It creeped her out that but she did not have time to dwell on that as her stomach made a persistent growl. She hadn't eating in at least three days and her body was making this fact known. With a resigned look she got out of her bed looking at the bedside clock. It was 4:25 am.

Admittedly she did not know where the kitchen was but she remembered taking the scent of food on her way to her room on her arrival and the insistent rumbling of her tummy made her confident that she could find the illusive room. So tying a robe securely around her slip she walked out of the room. At once she was engulfed in silence and she realised just how alone she really was. Her mind started to play treats on her. She could almost feel as it someone was watching her yet there was no one around. She knew that it was the surrounding darkness that was fooling her so she shook her head in annoyance and gave a slight chuckle at her silliness

She wondered the halls for a good 15 minutes before she found the pristine kitchen, empty at that time of the morning. Not bothering to turn on the lights, She made her way to the fridge in happiness, creating a simple meal of buttered bread and cold milk. She devoured it quickly and made her way to the exit. She turn, her back previously to the entrance door and made eye contact with the eyes, the red glowing eyes filled with madness and her heart slammed in her chest startlingly as fear coursed through her veins. The kitchen was big but she was trapped. There was something to those eyes that told her that her very well being was in jeopardy and like any creature faced with danger they couldn't over come, she attempted to run, hoping to elude the madness she saw in those eyes. But it was much to fast for her. She'd just made a move to run when hands grabbed at her body holding down cruelly to her mouth. A firm body pressed to hers and her frightened eyes darted in every direction until they came into contact with the eyes. It was then that she started to scream. The sound was muffled but she screamed anyway. She felt like she was going to faint from the emotions rushing through her. Fear was living in her and her body trembled as she was thrown roughly to the ground.

She had never felt so much pain before. As her head met the concrete tiles, her vision blurred, leaving only the glow of the crazed demon and she knew she was going to die. She was in shock from the pain and the reality of it. As he slashed through her clothing with his claws her body froze. She did not know what to do and her mind was empty. There was no one to save her. She shouldn't have left her room. But as he continued to attack her roughly with his hands, claws digging into her skin drawing copious amounts of blood she tried to fight back.

He was a demon. She was a human. She could not win. He knew it. She knew it. But she was not a quitter. “Always were one to fight,” his voice was rough and familiar “That is why I always wanted you. Your scent haunts me. It drives me crazy and now I'll finally have my fill of you.”

(A/ n: sensitive? Then please don't read this part okay? It might upset you,)

Her eyes widened in realisation.
Inuyasha… This was Inuyasha and he was going to rape her. Tears fell down her cheeks, as her struggles renewed. Most of her body was exposed by then and his free hand roamed over her naked breasts covered with his scratches. He breathed hotly in her ears as he felt himself growing excited at this. Her scent was still the same and he took her nipples in his mouth sucking on them roughly causing her to moan in pain. He was not being gentle at all and she felt like every suck was a scrap on her body. His excitement grew though every time the tears would roll down her face as her cries met him. In his delirious state he mistook them for pleasure and soon he was scratching through her underwear completely destroying the item leaving her naked to his touch. The blood of his scratches poured down her thighs and she started to pray so reverently for someone to save her from what was to happen. But no one was listening. No one had been listening for a long time now and as his digit invaded her dry virginal sheath roughly she screamed and screamed. The previous pains were nothing compared to the feeling of his rough fingers pushing through her body forcing it and her body was shaking from pain. She couldn't take it. I was unbearable. It hurt so much so… very much. She began to sob as the finger was removed only to feel something much thicker at her feminine entrance. She knew what was coming and braced her self for it. He shoved though her with all the force he had, tearing through her virginal shield. She screamed as the searing pain enveloped her entire body. It was like a knife had been stabbed through her virgina and she fainted on the scream thankfully not being awake as he pumped into her body and came spreading his semen inside her

He continued to violate her unconscious body uncaring whether she was awake or not. He was determined to have his fill. At that moment Tamiko came to the kitchen to investigate as she'd sworn that she could hear sounds and had wanted to know if some of the young women were allowing the kitchen lads privileges again. The horror of what she saw would remain with her forever, her crazed lord rutting the bloodied and battered body of their unconscious houseguest. Kagome's blood was leaving her body at frightening rate and Tamiko, so shocked at what she was seeing had started to scream like she was looking onto the face of an actual spawn of Satan.

And that was what Sesshomaru came home to. the horrified screams of the usually dignified Tamiko...
