Disclaimer:
I do not own Any character from Inuyasha. I do own Tamiko however.

A/N:
This chapter also contains lots of imagery. I apologise if its confusing. I had to write a billion different point of views to keep in everyone's reaction. I am not exactly satisfied with it but I promise the next one will be better.

Piloting his private helicopter, Sesshomaru Taisho had been completely engrossed in information on Higurashi Co-op. Like Kagome he had spent countless hours doing research on the company. In all honesty he had not really paid much heed to the rising company until the tragic plane accident. Its not that he didn't think she was competition material. He, as inuyoukai, did not think it was dignified to compete against a mortal in matters of business.

However she came to his attention the day news of her family tragedy had struck. Her face had been plastered on every screen. The face was older, but the resemblance to the girl who'd followed his hanyou brother was uncunning. He was upset with his inability to curb his curiosity but he could not rest until he knew for sure.

The girl, he knew, had been ningen. There was no way that a mortal woman could survive the transition of five hundred years. And so with his curiosity peeked, the research had begun. The more he found out about her the more his interest grew, now in her personally but in her life and her business. It could have been that she was a relative with striking similarities but he truly doubted that. He'd kept his fascination with the human secret. But he'd been forced to dig deeper and deeper, and it wasn't after weeks of research that the idea came to him. He'd exhausted every means of finding out the truth with no readily available answer. He was a direct man so he stopped going around her and decided to tackle the problem full force. He'd introduced the idea to his colleagues, and they had expressed interest. The woman was a bonafide genius in the business world and collaborating with her would be a smart venture in the future of Taisho Industries. And so his plan in motion he had sat back readily awaiting an end to the mystery that was this Kagome Higurashi, who bore the same name and face as a mortal miko from 500 years earlier

Now finally the time was here. After a seemingly endless lecture to young business hopefuls in Switzerland, Sesshomaru, slightly weary was on his way home to end the minor fascination. He'd originally entered the neutral German city to renew a partnership with a colleague. He had allowed himself to be talked into lecturing a room of thousands of university business major students. Versed in many of the primary languages, it had not been a difficult task. In fact it was one of the more pleasurable aspects of his life, moulding the young minds of impressionable youth. However at this lecture he had been preoccupied. Of course none of this showed, for he was a professional and it just wouldn't do to falter or let the smart young ones attempt to fumble him. After the lecture he had gotten many propositions. Still in this time women thought that using their bodies to gain favour was acceptable. Maybe it was the fact that he was a noted youkai of power and wealth, he even suspected that it had to do with the human interest with his unique features and marking. He, not being one to set them straight would have gladly dallied for a night if he had not been anxious to get home—

Something caught his attention. He knew that something was wrong. He wasn't long from home but it was still a bit there. A sense of forewarning had his youkai raging at him to hurry and so he increased the sped of the helicopter. He did not think that here had been a time his youkai had been so greatly riled and he was just a bit worried knowing that his houseguest was present from a called he'd made to Tamiko.

So preoccupied was he, that he had not noticed the scent walking into the house. It was difficult keeping his inner youkai under control. Something was greatly wrong and his steps quickened as he entered the house. It was then he heard the scream of Tamiko. The woman was the definition of cool and composed. She wasn't someone who would lose her composure easily and he was testament to that, she having witnessing some of the more vile aspects of the demon world. And so with a brilliant flash he was teleported to the doorway of the kitchen, where he'd heard the continual screams…

It had been a rather restless evening for Tamiko. Lord Inuyasha had been particularly unsettled. Most times she really couldn't believe that he was insane. He didn't sound it nor did he act it. On the contrary in fact, he was always polite and joked. There were times when he was even as cold as his brother but she'd seen proof of his insanity on many occasions. That evening he had been preoccupied. It had taken her hours to get him settled in bed and as she left his room, her feeling of unease had grown yet she shrugged it off .

The feeling persisted, keeping her up for the duration of the night. She'd been tossing and turning for the entire evening as troubling dreams plagued her light sleep. Finally giving up on elusive restfulness, Tamiko began her morning rituals, fixing her room and prepared to awaken the estate, when she heard sounds. She pressed her ears to her door and the muffled screams sand grunts became a bit more forceful. Shaking her head in anger she shrugged on her robes. It had not been the first time the servants had chosen to dally in the kitchen seeking carnal pleasures and she knew that if the master came home to their play, which he would at any moment, their worthless lives would end. So the task was left to her. She grumbled a bit, taking her time as she really didn't want to enter the kitchen to see bodies seeking their final release but as she drew nearer her heart started to pound. There was a muffled scream. It spoke of so much pain. Then there was nothing but the sounds of those grunts. And as she drew nearer her hands shook. She turned on the light and all she could see was blood. It was everywhere dripping out of the poor young girl who'd fainted. Her lord Inuyasha was between her legs forcing his way into her. Tears came to her eyes as she saw the lashes and gouges on the girl's body. Her flesh was so horrible mutilated that Tamiko just started to scream and scream. Her tears flowed down her face. She did not know what to do. She felt trapped, frozen watching on the horror as Inuyasha continued uncaring.

It was then her lord appeared in front of her shielding her from the sight. Her frozen state broke but her tears continued to flow as her lord pulled his brother off and disappeared, giving her a nod to help the poor girl.

Her hands were shaking as she rushed over to the woman, opening bawling her eyes out as she got closer and saw the extend of the wounds. She feared that the woman was dead from the amount of blood on the floor. She didn't know what to do as she picked her up, holding Kagome's upper body to her bosom as her legs remained on the floor, blood still dripping. She started praying

Hearing the screams Koga, Vice President of Taisho industries jumped out of bed and rushed out of his room, the scent of blood and semen almost over powering him. And for some reason his running increased. He knew something bad had happened. There was something about the scent of the blood that made him feel so angry. And so he rushed over, running into Shippo, the little runt who had followed him everywhere after Kagome had left

500 Year earlier.

A little boy wondered in the forests. He had lost another mother. Life had been going so great for Shippo. A young kitsune, he'd found a surrogate family in Kagome and the Gang. At the beginning it had been so wonderful until Naraku had shown up, destroying all that had ever meant anything to him. He had left Kaede's village to find a way on his own. He knew that he shouldn't have secreted away into the night but he was youkai, they were ningen. He couldn't stay with them. They had suffered too much at the hands of his kind. He remembered packing little to eat and leaving. He'd been afraid, for he was just a child and it was dark. There were many things out there that would have liked to make a meal out of him. Yet knowing this he still left, praying that he could make it on his own.

Most of the days he barely ever found anything to eat and he would just sit within caves crying. He cried for the lost of both his families and for the deaths of his friends. He'd cried so much when Kagome has heft. His little heart ached from so much loss. A child should never go through that. And after a month on his own, having his last meal over 2 weeks previously he'd finally given in to death when ambushed by a snake youkai looking for a tasty meal. He'd attempted to use his fox cunning but he had been so week from the lack of nourishment that the exertion had him fainting. He remembered the creature coming to him as his vision blurred. He just knew that this was his end and he gladly welcomed it.

But when he'd regained consciousness, he had not been with his parents, Sango and Miroku in heaven. Instead the scent of wolf had tickled his nose as Kouga came into view. He'd been saved by the wolf demon, fed and taken care of and from that moment he'd become part of Kouga's wolf pack.

Now… five hundred years later he, Vice President in charge of R and D for Taisho Industries, was rushing to the kitchen of Sesshomaru as a horrified scream reached his ears. What he saw had him falling to his knees. “Kagome!” Shippo cried as he watched the only mother he'd known bleed to death. Kouga too was shocked, but he knew that her life was in jeopardy and so he rushed in, slipping on her blood, falling to the floor as he was coated in her life essence, but he did not have time for that. He got off the floor and grabbed her into his arms prepared to head to the medical ward within the Fortress…

Sesshomaru had grabbed Inuyasha by the neck, transporting the two of them to Inuyasha's room. He was so angry that he flung the deranged boy across the room, sealing him in and transported himself back to the bloody kitchen.

The sight of the woman had shaken him. He was a man accustomed to blood and gore yet there was something so incredibly wrong about the scene he had witnessed. Her unconscious face had looked vulnerable as it scrunched into a mask of pain even in oblivion. He was ashamed that this travesty had occurred within his home and as he entered the kitchen to seeing her in Kouga's arms, his youkai raged a bit wanting to protect the defenceless woman who had been so violated by his kin. She looked dead. Her blood continued to drain out of her body and he knew that at any moment her life would too and so he said to the young wolf prince, “Give her to me. I'll get there faster.”

The coldness of his voice had Kouga hesitating, but he didn't want his once dear love to die, so he handed her to Sesshomaru who in his way vanished. Kouga didn't wait either. He made the long run to the infirmary to ensure that she was safe. His mind was a blur like his feet. How could she have survived the years? What had happened? He could smell Inuyasha on the blood that had now dried over his arms and legs. He looked a frightful mess but he didn't care. It was Kagome.
His Kagome and he was going to make sure that she did not die or he would shred Inuyasha limb from limb…

Shippo, Finally awakened from his frozen state got up and quickly closed the kitchen off to the eyes that had been peering in. Most were youkai so they could guess what had happened. He went over, helping the crying Tamiko to her feet. She seemed so caught in her sorrow. Her face streaked in her tears and Kagome's blood, she felt cold inside, shivering in Shippo's arms as he comforted her. Never had she seen such a brutal act against another being and just the image of the hanyou thrusting into the poor seemingly dead girl would remain with her forever. “She was so polite to me. Why would he do something like that? Why would he do that in his brother's home?” She seemed to ask no one in particular.

Shippo too was in shock at what he'd witnessed. His eyes were red with tears. He had not cried since he was a little boy, in the days after Kagome had left and before Kouga had found him. Shed looked dead. A beautiful angel sullied by the hands of a demon from hell. He knew that crying would not solve anything. Rubbing Tamiko's back to sooth her, he gently pulled her away.

“I am so sorry that you had to see that,” he did not know just how much she'd seen but from her screams it must have been a lot. “But crying will not solve anything. Kagome has been violated and I am incredibly angry myself but please help me tidy up the kitchen so that at least some of her dignity may remain intact.” They both were covered in blood but with a nod and a forced smile, Tamiko stepped out of the lord's arms and started to bring out cleaning materials.

The images continued to flow though. All she could see was Inuyasha's naked bottom thrusting into the girl and the tears came again. “Did you know her?” She asked in an attempt to get rid of the images.
Why did these things have to happen? She was growing tired of the horrors of being youkai. By far this was the worst and she had had enough.

“Yes,” he said picking up a mop as he dragged a bucket of warm water forward. “She is my surrogate mother. She took care of me as a young kitten.” An affectionate smile touched his lips as he remembered the young woman Kagome. He did not think it impossible that she was alive, as he knew of the existence of the well. He'd always hoped to see her again. Now as a fully-grown man, with the bright orange hair of his people, he stood a good six feet 5 inches, muscled in the way of a trained warrior. He felt like that little boy again who had always waited at the well for her eagerly.

She did not question how the Taiyoukai could have known the human as a child, as there were mysteries in the world that one couldn't always fathom and so she said “Tell me a little about her”

They worked through the morning cleaning up the kitchen together. Him, The great Youkai lord of the East, was doing menial kitchen chores. Tamiko was thankful at having the help, as she did not think that she could have stomached the job on her own. There had been so much blood, and she kept wondering about the young woman. “I so hope she's alright,” this she whispered to herself.

“Kouga and Sesshomaru will not let her die.” He said this a bit fiercely as he could not accept her dying either. “Now may I escort you to your rooms. I am going to go and check on her myself.” He offered Tamiko his hand as they opened the kitchen doors. There was no one there, as many knew better than to gawk at happenings in Lord Sesshomaru's fortress. Instead they would gossip about it later…

In another room on the far side of the estate, Kagome's life continued to drain away at an alarming rate…
