InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ Middle School Troubles ❯ Detention ... again ( Chapter 1 )

[ T - Teen: Not suitable for readers under 13 ]

A crowd of middle school age kids had gathered around three young kids of 15, two of which were girls. “Is that your best shot?!” one of the girls yelled as another young boy swung at her, missing his target.

The girl punched him in the stomach and he fell to the ground. “KAGOME, What have you done!?!” yelled a portly teacher as she hobbled down the hall.

“He had it coming, I mean he called us ugly and weak” spoke the other girl who stood beside her. Kagome and Sango were anything but ugly and weak. They were the prettiest and strongest in their school.

“Not again.” She sighed. “Sango! Kagome! Detention!” the chubby teacher handed them two detention slips that she kept with their names on because this happened all the time.

“I take it I don't need to tell you where the detention room is now do I?” “No Mrs. Ajewski, I think Sango and I know where it is by now.” Kagome smiled sweetly as the boy groaned on the floor.

Sango and Kagome walked off to the detention room since school was almost over anyway. “Hippo doesn't have to get her panties in a wad, I mean all we did was punch him in the stomach, and we didn't break anything this time.” Sango said in an undertone as they walked to detention so the other teachers would not hear the nickname they given their teacher.
“So, how are we getting out of detention this time” “Oh, I have a plan” Kagome smiled and whispered the plan into Sango's ear. She laughed too; they would not be in detention long.

They got to their destination and took their seats they had reserved for themselves by carving their names in it with a pen.

“Oh, Kagome and Sango, I was getting worried that you weren't going to make it today, but I guess I was wrong” came the sarcastic tone of the detention teacher, Mrs. Pulami.

“Whatever, can we just get this over with” Kagome shrugged. “If you can shut-up and do your homework, then yes.” Mrs. Pulami said.

“That would be great and all if we could, but we left our book bags in our other class.” Sango sweetly said to their teacher. “May we go get them?”

“Oh no you don't, I know that once I let you go you won't be coming back.” Mrs. Pulami was happy to outwit them, seeing as how they tricked her all the time.

“Darn, how did you know?” Kagome said, trying to hide her smile and the urge to burst out laughing. “I'll go get them for you.” With that, Mrs. Pulami was off on her fruitless search.

“Are you ready to go?” Sango asked. “Yea, I'm ready. Let's go.” Kagome grabbed their book bags that they hid behind the desks and gave Sango hers.

They set off at a run before their teacher got back. They had almost made it to the outside doors when Mrs. Pulami turned the corner, apparently none too happy.

“Quick, go through that door so she doesn't see us!” Kagome whispered while pushing Sango into the room beside her.

“I can't believe I forgot to ask those girls where their last class was! How am I supposed to know where they left their book bags?” Mrs. Pulami said as she walked past their hiding spot.

“Oh man, we really need to get out of here now!” Sango said when the teacher was out of earshot. Kagome nodded and they sprinted out of the janitor's closet, making a mad dash for the door.

They got outside and laughed their heads off as they kept running back to their homes. They stopped under the big oak tree at the corner of their block that they met at every morning to go to school.

“See you here tomorrow Kagome.” Sango waved goodbye as they parted ways.

“See you later Sango.” Kagome answered as she walked in the opposite direction.
