Disclaimer: I don’t own any of the Inuyasha characters except the ones I made up for the story. Ha in your face!
Well some things are still unanswered. Like why is some of the plant life from the feudal era growing in the present day. And what does Toshi have in store for Sesshoumaru. Well here are your answers!
Kagome was the first to open the doors of the shrine. She was hit with an evil force that knocked her to the ground.
“Can you feel the Demonic Aura! That’s intense!” Miroku shouted as the ground began to shake and a loud rumbling noise filled their ears.
“What’s happening!” Sango called out trying to cover her ears.
The group watched in horror as hundreds of demons began flying out of the shrine.
“Inuyasha!” Kagome screamed. “Quick stop them!” Inuyasha was once step ahead of her, Tessaiga drawn he prepared the sword for a mighty attack.
“KAZE NO KIZU!!!” Inuyasha called out, unleashing his mighty wind scar, destroying many of the demons in one swipe. But they didn’t stop coming and soon hundreds of demons filled the sky over the Higurashi shrine.
“Hey look.” Kagome said pointing to the sky. The demons suddenly seemed to fade away as they tried to leave the shrine. As they began to fade as did the rumbling sound. “What the heck is going on.” The ground came to a standstill and all was quiet again. The companions cautiously entered the well shrine. It was as if nothing happened. Quickly Miroku sealed the well and doors with his sutra’s. Kagome tapped a do not enter sign in the ground in front of the shrine. They all went inside to evaluate the situation.

Toshi looked into the bone-eaters as the demon’s who tried to enter quickly pour out and join his body.
“Damn!” Toshi cursed slamming his fist on the edge of the bone eater’s well. “I’m still too weak to open the gateway through time.” Toshi glared at Yagi and Kanna who appeared next to him. “Yagi! Have you found the dead priestess yet!” He roared.
“Yes my Lord,” Yagi softly replied. “The Miko, Kikyou has lost her way.”
Toshi gave Yagi and Kanna a evil grin. “Even better, take me to her.” He commanded as they disappeared into the green mist.
Sesshoumaru didn’t ask questions when Satsuki returned to the clearing. She was distant and sad. Sesshoumaru began to walk away.
“S-Sesshoumaru.” Satsuki said quietly. Sesshoumaru stopped and turned just in time to catch the fainting Satsuki.
It was nightfall by the time Satsuki woke up. There was a fire going and Rin was feeding it with wood. Jaken rested against Mou-Mou asleep. Rin noticed Satsuki sit up and brought her some water.
“I’m glad to see you awake Satsuki.” Rin smiled.
“Where is Sesshoumaru.” Satsuki asked noticing that it was his fur she was lying on.
“He went to find you something to eat.” Rin responded. “I think he really likes you.” Satsuki rested her head back in the fur breathing in his glorious scent. “I think you really like Lord Sesshoumaru too.” Satsuki looked up and smiled at Rin. “You called for him the entire time you slept. He stayed by your side all day.” Rin walked back to the fire and tended to it.
‘He stayed by my side?’ Satsuki thought to herself. Slowly she placed her hand over her stomach. ‘Was I really carrying a pup.’ She felt the tears rise, when Yagi returned. “Yagi, was I really with child?” Satsuki asked quietly.
“You still are my Lady.” Yagi replied placing one finger over her lips. Yagi gave her some herbs and disappeared back into the mist. Satsuki cried with happiness just when Sesshoumaru appeared with a large demon boar in his arms. It wasn’t a human but it would have to do, for Rin’s sake.
“You are awake,” Sesshoumaru smiled.
“Yes thank you for tending to me.” Satsuki decided to wait until the right moment to tell Sesshoumaru about the pup. There was way to much going on.
“Satsuki, you will be my mate.” Sesshoumaru said unable to look her in the eyes. “Do you understand?” Satsuki looked up in astonishment. She never expected Sesshoumaru to react this way after knowing her for such a short period of time. Sesshoumaru knelt besides her still refusing to look her in the face. “Do you understand Satsuki?”
“Yes Sesshoumaru, I understand.” Sesshoumaru stood up and began to walk into the darkness of the forest.
“Rin remain here until we return.” Sesshoumaru said before disappearing into the night.
“Yes Lord Sesshoumaru!” Rin agreed.
Satsuki slowly stood to follow Sesshoumaru, she turned and smiled at Rin. Rin probably would not see them until the morning. Satsuki found Sesshoumaru in a clearing awaiting her. The wind seemed to strengthen as Sesshoumaru began to change his form. Satsuki ran to face him as she too began to change shape. The true form of the dog demons faced each other. If Sesshouumaru wanted Satsuki as a mate, he would have to fight for her. Satsuki the red dog demon went on the offensive, lunging towards Sesshoumaru biting into his shoulder causing him to roar out in pain. Quickly sliding under the female he head butts her in the chest. Satsuki fell to one side quickly composing herself she made another powerful lunge towards her challenger. Sesshoumaru see’s her attack and quickly jumps over her reaching down and biting the back of her neck. Satsuki yelps and tries to buck Sesshoumaru off, but he holds on tight slowing her down drastically. She rolls over and tries to reach her head around panting wearily. With Sesshoumaru still holding on, Satsuki sits down hard gasping for air. After a moment she falls defeated. Sesshoumaru finally lets her go, howling to announce his victory.

Kagome, Inuyasha and the others sat down in a circle in Kagome’s bedroom. Inuyasha was the first to break the silence.
“Okay so what the Hell just happened out there.” Inuyasha growled.
“Well it seemed to be only a illusion.” Miroku suggested.
“A illusion,” Kagome repeated. “But what about the shakes and that unbearable sound.
“All effects of the illusion, did you sense how the demonic aura quickly faded as it seemed to reach it’s peak.” Miroku reasoned.
“Yeah but it’s peak was even stronger than Naraku’s.” Sango added.
“Do you think it could be Naraku!” Kagome began to shake. “May be he regained his powers or gotten stronger.”
“No, I couldn’t be.” Miroku tried to reassure Kagome. “You and Kikyou destroyed Naraku’s heart. He couldn’t possibly return.”

Toshi wandered through the darkness both Kanna and Yagi by his side. They finally reached a dark figure who unlike the other wandering spirits stood completely motionless.
“Kikyou.” Toshi said softly. Very slowly the figured turned, it was indeed Kikyou. Her eyes were lifeless and blank. She opened her mouth and the faintest sound escaped from her lips.
“K-Kikyou.” She muttered faintly. “Am I Kikyou.” Kikyou mind was completely blank. She had not remembered her true life and she didn’t remember her un-life. It was the effect of the world between worlds. “What is Kikyou’s meaning?” Kikyou said hauntingly.
Toshi smiled at this opportunity. If only Kikyou had chosen to go to Hell, she would have had the choice to join Toshi or not. But now she would follow the first thing she was told, until it was fulfilled or until she was dead. “Kikyou’s soul will not rest. Kikyou will not find peace until she kills the hanyou Inuyasha and his mate Kagome.” Toshi’s voice boomed with pride.
“Inu-yasha,” Kikyou’s eyes slowly came to life as her purpose was set into her mind. “Kill Inuyasha and Kagome.”
Yeah this is kinda a short chapter but it think writers block is starting to kick in. Well have no fear I’ll finish this story and next chapter the fun begins. You will learn Satsuki’s original motives and the purpose for Kohaku and the reawakening of Kagura. Next chapter is guaranteed to be a long and revealing one!
