Well I think this maybe the chapter where Toshi’s intentions for Sesshoumaru are revealed! I hope you are enjoying the story because I am enjoying writing. I completely put my novel on hold to finish these last few chapters. Please review!
Miroku and Sango walked through the garden together. Cautiously looking at the shrine which housed the well. It’s been over a month since the strange occurrences started but none since then. The strange plant life disappeared and nothing has come out of the well since then. They were beginning to get their life back on track. Shippo had his transformations mastered and there hadn’t been a mutant squirrel incident since the first. Mrs. Higurashi began tutoring Shippo so that he could go to school with Souta. Sango began part time work at a local convenience store and was praised for being a fast learner. Miroku worked at the shrine with Grandpa creating and selling magic sutra scrolls. Kagome crammed for high school and Inuyasha did work around the shrine fixing and tearing down things. He and Miroku had drawn out plans for a new house at the back of the shrine for their future wives. Yes things were finally starting to look good for the happy couples.
The wedding was set for the next day and Kagome and Sango could hardly contain themselves that night. The wedding would be held on the shrine with Grandpa as the in between. Kagome was sad that her friends from the feudal era couldn’t attend but happily invited her friends and family from her time. Sango hid her emotions, wishing Kohaku and her father could be there with her. Miroku only mourned for the lonely hearts of all the women who would now miss out on the chance to spend the night with him. Inyasha sat in the tree where he and Kagome first met. There the mighty tree stood for hundreds of years. First in Kikyou’s village then in Inuyasha’s forest and now it called Higurashi shrine it’s home. Kagome excepted Inuyasha for who he was, and he never thought he could love and trust someone as much as he did for Kagome. He had truly found peace. He also had to admit that he also couldn’t wait to indulge in Kagome’s flesh in between the sheets.
“Thinking of your wedding night Inuyasha?” Miroku called from the bottom of the tree.
Inuyasha turned up his nose pretending to be disgusted. “Ha, I’m not like you, you lecherous monk.”
“Hey you can’t call me that anymore, my thoughts of taking Sango into my bed is completely justified.” Miroku snorted a quick retort.
“Yeah well she ain’t your wife yet, so keep your perverted thoughts to yourself!” Inuyasha yelled back.
“Whatever Inuyasha.” Miroku laughed. Suddenly a strange demonic aura appeared. Miroku turned towards the well shrine Inuyasha already besides him sniffing the air. It was a familiar scent.
“It can’t be.” Inuyasha gasped running to the Miroku following close behind.
“Wait Inuyasha, don’t beak the seals!” Miroku called out trying to stop him. But it was too late Inuyasha threw open the doors to the shrine, to his astonishment Kikyou was already attacking. Inuyasha couldn’t move he couldn’t think. Kikyou died right in front of him, and now she was attacking him with a large sword.
“K-Kikyou.” The moment Inuyasha breathed her name she disappeared as did the demonic aura. Inuyasha was alone once again in the darkness.

Satsuki could feel the hardness in her stomach. She was indeed with child. And Sesshoumaru, her mate still did not know. Toshi had sent for her, three more times after the first and Yagi did well to hide the new life that grows within her Mother.
“The time has come, Satsuki.” Toshi said during their last meet. “My powers have been fully restored. It is time you to take Sesshoumaru through the passages of time. Make sure his feet touches the soil.”
“Yes my Lord.” Satsuki bowed reluctantly. Satsuki wanted to be with Sesshoumaru and if she was to do that he would have to defeat Toshi.
“Go take Sesshoumaru to the well.” Toshi disappeared in the mist.
Satsuki sighed deeply. She had the same emotionless gaze as Sesshoumaru but it was a bit softer now that she had a pup on the way. ‘Thank Goodness he doesn’t notice.’ She thought to herself. Satsuki soon found Sesshoumaru leaned against a tree as Rin and Jaken fished in a river. Slowly he turned to Satsuki acknowledging his mate’s presence then looking back at Rin.
“Sesshoumaru, I promised you power.” Satsuki said walking up to Sesshoumaru. He didn’t look up at her, he only listened.
“You’re late.” Sesshoumaru only joked but the arrogance in his voice said otherwise.
“Come Sesshoumaru, you will have your power.” Satsuki had a sadness in her voice. And Sesshoumaru could easily sense it he stood and turned to Satsuki. She smiled faintly and turned to walk away.
“Satsuki. Do you intend to betray me.” Satsuki quickly turned in shock. Sesshoumaru had not moved. He seemed to look into her soul. Satsuki’s eyes cried dry tears. She would have to betray him in order to stay together. She knew Sesshoumaru would agree to fight his Toshi, in order to test his strength. Toshi is stronger than Inu no Tashio was it took the power of all of Tashio’s army to seal his dark brother for that long. Satsuki knew Sesshoumaru would fight him, what she was worried about was the sacrifices of stepping on the bridge of time.
“Sesshoumaru, I did have other motive during our first encounter.” Satsuki wanted to tell him the whole truth, but instead she held back. “I wanted to test your power. I wanted to see if you could compare to your Father’s power.” Sesshoumaru growled at this. She was lying, and he could tell.
“Then let us go.” Sesshoumaru finally said walking past Satsuki, but never looking at her. Rin and Jaken promptly followed. Satsuki stood alone for a moment. She wasn’t sure of the reasoning behind Sesshoumaru going with her. Was it out of sheer curiosity or was it his thirst for power.
“Satsuki!” Rin called her pulling her form her thoughts. “You coming?” Satsuki slowly followed her hand gently touching her stomach.
‘Don’t worry my child.’ Satsuki thought. ‘You will know your Father.’
Satsuki lead Sesshoumaru to the bone eater’s well.

Kagura and Kohaku stood before Toshi in the world between world’s. Kagura wondered why he would spend so much time there.
“Kohaku.” Toshi said. “It is time for you to return to your sister.” Toshi’s voice was sinister and it brought a chill to Kagura’s spine.
“Toshi, I need to be as free as the wind.” Kagura said growing impatient. “What is it you want with me!”
Toshi glared at Kagura, striking fear in her heart. “Kagura, have you seen your Sesshoumaru?” He asked. Kagura sighed, she was afraid to see him. She was afraid Sesshoumaru would see her as this unnatural thing back from the dead. “Are you ready for freedom, Kagura? Are you ready to be without purpose.”
Kagura became sad. “Purpose?” She said softly. Kagura had no purpose after Naraku faked his death, soon she began serving the evil moon godess. And when Naraku returned, her life was centered around him once again. So could she have a reason for being, beside servitude. Kagura suddenly caught a glimpse of Sesshoumaru in the distance. Soon he faded away and Kagura became angry. Toshi saw the anger grow and he began to smile.
“Kagura, I only ask you of one last thing. Then you may become the wind.” Toshi smirked.
‘One last thing?’ Kagura remembered his first requests.
“Bring me the body of a young priestess and the soil of Kikyou’s grave.”
“Kill one thousand demons and resurrect them with your corpse dance.”
Kagura wondered about Toshi strange requests and asked about the last out of curiousity.
“Kagura you are to cross the bridge of time with your demon corpses.” Toshi said.
“Cross the bridge of time. How do you suppose I do that?” Kagura said skeptically.
“There is a well just outside of Inuyasha’s forest, go to it.”
“And?”
“Wait for Yagi and I to join you.” Toshi looked at Kohaku and his blank expression. “Kohaku soon your memories will return and you will feel overwhelming pain. You will find your Sister, waiting for you across the bridge of time. It is time to beg for her forgiveness.” Toshi placed his hand on the top of Kohaku’s head. Soon images of death and blood filled Kohaku’s mind and he began to shake. Kagura watched in horror as Kohaku cried tears of blood. He screamed and fell to his knees shaking and crying. A red aura surrounded him as evil filled his soul.
“I killed them!” Kohaku screamed, but his words were barely understandable.
“Kohaku the aura surrounding your heart will ease the pain and guilt of murdering your family and comrades. But the moment you set eyes on her sister the evil will disappear and there is a chance that you could die. Do you understand?” Kagura noticed a kind of warmth in Toshi’s voice and she wondered if Toshi pitied Kohaku.
“Yes Lord Toshi.” Kohaku said, his eyes burning red.
“Now go, I must regain my strength.” Toshi said closing his eyes and disappearing in the darkness.
‘Regain his powers.’ Kagura thought to yourself. A moment later Yagi appeared and began to lead them to the Bone eaters well.

Satsuki cleared the forest leading Sesshoumaru and company to the bone eaters well. Satsuki was silent their entire journey. Sesshoumaru didn’t speak to her or anyone else. And Jaken and Rin respected the silence and decided it was best not to speak either.
“Sesshoumaru this well is the bridge to this world and the world of tomorrow.” Satsuki began. Sesshoumaru gave her a cold gaze. “While you and Rin and Jaken will grow and die.” Jaken looked shocked by these words as Satsuki continued. “Yes die, five hundred years from now only two youkai exist...and one hanyou.” Sesshoumaru gasped. It was true Inuyasha’s scent was all over the place and disappeared down the well. “Inuyasha grows strong and well.” Satsuki was growing more saddened, she was betraying her mate. She loved him but wondered if he would forgive her.
“So my younger brother out lives me beyond the this time.” Sesshoumaru said in his neutral tone.
“Sesshoumaru, power, immortality. It all lies beyond this well.” Satsuki placed her hands upon the edge of the well. “I’ve seen this world. Yagi has brought me there. It is so full of wonder.” Satsuki thought of Inu no tashio and how she didn’t want to face the world without him. She thought of her dear Yagi’s ability to travel between time but how each time it became more and more difficult to return. “When you pass across the bridge of time your powers will grow and you will be able to build your empire to last.”
“Will I be able to return to this world.” Sesshoumaru asked. Not sure if he should leave Rin and return for her later, Satsuki knew that once his feet touched the ground he would not be able to return. But that wasn’t what he wanted to hear.
“Of course my Lord.” Satsuki lied. “But I don’t know how long it would take for you to destroy Inuyasha, perhaps leaving Rin and Jaken behind isn’t a good idea.” Sesshoumaru looked at the companions, and wasn’t sure if Satsuki was telling the truth. But the power, and it’s hold it had on the taiyoukai. Sesshoumaru stepped toward the well and looked back at Rin and Jaken.
“Come along Rin, Jaken.” Sesshoumaru said sternly. Rin and Jaken showed no reluctance in following their lord, but in actuality they were very much afraid. Rin and Jaken jumped up upon the edge of the well and peered into the darkness. In their astonishment the bottom began to glow and seemed to pull them into it’s mesmerizing glow.
Satsuki calmly sat on the edge of the well, reaching out for Sesshoumaru. “Come My Lord, come and receive power beyond power.” Sesshoumaru took the hand of his beautiful mate, drawn into her trusting eyes. He lifted Rin into his arms and pushed the screaming jaken in following closely with his adopted pup in one arm and mate in the other.

The much anticipated wedding was right on schedule. Inuyasha spent much of the morning hiding in a dark tree branch in his suit as the woman ran around trying to fix any final touches. Miroku was very quiet, and Inuyasha figured it was wedding day jitters. Sango watched Miroku’s actions, it seemed something was bothering him, and when she tried to confront him he denied it.
“Sango I cannot wait for you to be my wife.” That was his responses. He seemed happy after Sango called him on it. But soon afterwards he would become quiet once again. Kagome was excited and scared. Marriage, it was true she had loved Inuyasha for years now. She just had never saw this actually happening. Inuyasha had never mentioned Kikyou since coming to propose. And Kagome didn’t want to spoil their new relationship by bringing up his ex. But she still wondered what he thought about, sitting up in that tree so quietly.
Inuyasha could smell Kagome’s scent. He let it fill his lungs as he heart pounded. Inuyasha sat in his tree and imagined tasting her skin and kissing her delicate shoulders. He gently growled with pleasure. He wanted Kagome more than any other and quickly bounded to the temple when Mrs. Higurashi called he and Miroku.
The wedding was traditional and beautiful. The women in their ceremonial Kimonos looking beautiful and delicate. They said their vows each one at a time. Inuyasha was drawn to tears when Kagome said that she loved him. Miroku wanted to love his wish right under the statue of Buddha as he gazed upon her blushing face and creamy collarbone. When they finally stepped out of the temple the husbands and the wives, their first thought was to be alone with each other. They laughed and kissed as they made their way to the Higurashi/Tashio/Houshi home.
They sky suddenly seemed to grow dark as if a storm was coming. Kagome sighed, the feast they were to have outside would be ruined. At least it gave them a excuse to alone longer. The sky rumbled in the darkness and Inuyasha stopped and looked towards the well’s shrine.
“What is it Inuyasha?” Kagome said sensing her husband’s worry.
“I don’t know but I don’t like it.” Inuyasha replied reaching for his vacant hip, then remembering his left Tessaiga inside for the wedding.
“Miroku!” Inuyasha and Kagome turned to see Sango kneeling next to Miroku, who on the ground shaking, sweating, and unconscious. Inuyasha lifted his friend and carted him into the house. Inuyasha took hold of his Tessiaga and headed back outside Kagome following ignoring her Husband’s directions to stay inside. She grabbed her bow and arrows and followed Inuyasha to the shrine but when they got there they found that the building that surrounded the well was no longer standing only the well that released an enormous amount of energy and light. Inuyasha could smell a familiar scent and backed away, keeping Kagome close behind him. Kagome squinted through the light and gasped. Sesshoumaru!

Miroku awoke to find his wife, Sango by his side. All was quiet and still.
“S-Sango, what happened?” Miroku asked weakly.
“You took a pretty nasty fall.” Sango replied placing a warm cloth over his forehead. Miroku smiled at the woman he loved and gently caressed her cheek. Slowly a dark shadow overtook Miroku and to his fear and shock he saw Naraku standing behind Sango! Miroku couldn’t talk he couldn’t move. He could only watch as Naraku smirked at him and Sango didn’t seem to take notice.
“Did you think your family could escape the Kazaana curse, Monk.” Naraku chuckled in his deep condescending voice. “You will never live happily.” Miroku felt a sting in his right hand and he wanted to scream out. He looked at his love and watched in horror as he uncontrollably sucked his wife into the depths of the wind tunnel.
******
Sango wiped the sweat from the brow of the still unconscious Miroku, her husband. She wondered what seemed to torment him so, and she wondered about the strong demonic aura she felt.

Sesshoumaru stayed in the air looking down on his speechless half brother and his mate. Sesshoumaru drew tokijin and pointed it towards Inuyasha.
“So it is true.” Sesshoumaru voice boomed. “You attempyed to outlive this Sesshoumaru.” Sesshoumaru lunged toward his brother not waiting for a reply. With barely a slither of space between his feet and the ground, Sesshoumaru lifted his sword, striking Inuyasha’s tessaiga blade as Inuyasha blocked. Inuyasha didn’t have time to ask questions as he was knocked back with tokijin’s powerful blow. Sesshoumaru slowly placed his feet upon the ground and walked over to his fallen brother. He stopped when he felt a stronger power than his fill the area the sky flashed and the ground shook. Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha looked towards the well and watched as a demon that resembled their Father emerged for the well. Kagome watched as this new demon appeared, along with Kikyou, Kagura and Kohaku. She was startled by the voice of Sango who was watching from besides the house.
“Kohaku!” Sango screamed. But Kohaku did not look at her.
“K-Kikyou.” Inuyasha said feeling shock and hurt overcome him.
Sesshoumaru looked at the woman who loved him only for a moment but set his sights on the demon who resembled his father.
“Finally, the sons of Tashio has opened the gates of time and allowed me to enter.” Toshi roared. “Now I can rule this land. And everything in it!” Toshi smiled and surrounded himself in a ball of energy releasing it upon Japan. Kagome could hear the screams of people as her world seemed to merge with the world of the Warring States. Kagura waved her fan as thousands of demon corpses filled the sky and flowed throughout the streets of the city.
Satsuki and the others ran to be besides Sesshoumaru. Kagome kneeled besides Inuyasha. Kirara was in her true demon form as Shippo watched the events in horror upon her back.
“What’s happening!” Sango yelled as Kohaku who still did not look at his Sister in fear of death stood besides Toshi and the others. Kikyou drew her sword and prepared for an attack on Inuyasha and Kagome. Kagura set her sights on Satsuki. Toshi smiled and disappeared into the sky, leaving the group to their own devices.
Satsuki drew her sword, Saruka and prepared for her battle against Kagura.
Kagome aimed her arrows for Kikyou, who was coming towards she and Inuyasha.
The new and powerful Kohaku, drew his sword and pointed it at Sesshoumaru.
And soon the battle begins.
