Chapter 8: Can't anyonejust leave us alone?!

Inuyasha jumped up and looked around until he saw him running to him and Kagome. That stupid wolf with his whirlwinds running right over here, not caring what was going on between the two.

"Let MY Kagome go you insolent puppy!!" Koga barked.

"YOUR Kagome? Last thing I heard was her pledging her love for me!" Inuyasha barked back sticking his tongue out at Koga.

"KOGA? HOW DID YOU GET HERE?" Kagome said surprised.

"I heard you can jump in the well if you had jewel shards and come to your time so I decided to try it out and it worked. I smelled out your scent and found Inuyasha was here too…care to explain why you are holding him?" Koga said stamping his foot in an annoyed way.

"First off-." Inuyasha tried to say but surprisingly Kagome jumped out of his lap and got right into Koga's face cutting him off.

"First off," Kagome said filling in Inuyasha's unfinished sentence, "first off, I AM NOT your woman!"

Koga and Inuyasha were stunned. Kagome has never talked like that before and even if she did never to a demon.

"Secondly," Kagome said, "I don't want ANY MORE interruptions! I am trying to spend a romantic night with the one THAT I LOVE and I cant because there are RUDE people interrupting us! So if you kindly LEFT that would be greatly appreciated ok?! GOD CAN'T ANYONE JUST LEAVE US ALONE!!" Kagome had a very pissed of looking face and for once Koga was petrified of Kagome.

"…" Koga was left speechless and also couldn't move for a second. Kagome was still glaring at him and after he regained consciousness he ran back home to his side of the well.

"KAGOME!" Inuyasha cried as he ran over and embraced her.

"What?" Kagome said surprised.

"I cannot believe that you would stand up for me like that! Even in front of Koga's face! I love it! I love you!" Inuyasha was so happy that he turned her around, held her in a tight embrace, lifted her chin with his hands and kissed her passionately for a few minutes.

"Well if you liked that then listens to this…I KAGOME HIGURASHI IS IN LOVE WITH INUYASHA!!!!!" Kagome yelled out loud that even if you were far away you could hear her, as if she was right behind you.

"Wow…" Inuyasha was so happy he couldn't control himself. "Well listen to me because I have something to say on my mind as well…EVER SINCE I HAVE KNOWN KAGOME HIGURASHI I HAVE BEEN IN LOVE WITH HER! THE FIRST TIME I REALLY GOT TO MEET HER I WANTED TO KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT HER!!! AFTER THAT DAY ON I HAVE PLEDGED TO MYSELF TO PROTECT HER AND ALWAYS LOVE HER WITH ALL MY HEART!!!!" with that he swooped the surprised Kagome off her feet and held her in his arms bridal style. He hugged her for a moment, just looking into her eyes, and then he kissed her passionately.

"Awww…. that's so cute!" Yuka, Eri, and Ayumi said at the same time. They just `happened' to be walking in the park after the movies, and when they walked past the bridge they just `happened' to see Inuyasha and Kagome.

"Inuyasha. All you told me about, I want to, and would do with you. I don't want to grow up in the arms of another. I want to live and die with you. Inuyasha I-." Inuyasha cut her short. He lifted her chin up and kissed her again.

"Kagome, is this true?" inuyasha's eyes shimmered in the moon's light. He looked quite happy.

"Yes Inuyasha. I don't love any other but you. You think I would choose you over Koga, Hojo, and any one else who loved me but you are wrong. You just have to trust my love for you. No one can shatter the love that I have for you. No one. But I know Kikyo can shatter the love you have for me in an instant. I mean she is so much smarter, and hotter than I am that I know you would choose her over-." A powerful embrace silenced Kagome. He hugged her as if someone was going to take her away from him forever.

"Don't even speak her name. Kagome, I used to love Kikyo. But now I don't. I love you. The love I had for Kikyo is in the past. But now we are in the present. I will never love the sham of a soul that she has. I love you and that is all that matters. Don't ever think that I will choose any other over you. You shall be on the top list in my heart and don't forget it. I know that you think the only reason why I like you is because you are the reincarnation of Kikyo but you are not. There are so many different characteristics that you two have. But the only two characteristics that are the most important is that you are alive and that you have my heart. Kikyo is dead although she claims to be alive, and she will NEVER have my heart again. She did in the past but now you do. Now I also realized that she was so self-righteous, she wanted me to turn to a human for her. She didn't like me in my hanyou form. She wanted me to change to satisfy her! But you don't. You like me just the way I am and I will stay that way. I also realized that I didn't really love her at all…we just used one another for acceptance… But it doesn't matter …now since you know how I have said about your differences do you understand?" Inuyasha looked at the drowsy Kagome and smiled.

"Yes I understand Inuyasha. Thank you so much." She kissed him and was about to fall asleep. Inuyasha realized how sleepy Kagome was so he picked up all the picnic stuff and Kagome in his arms and started walking towards her house.

"Inuyasha you don't have to do this **yawn** I can walk." Kagome tried to wiggle out of his embrace but he just held her tighter.

"It is ok Kagome" Inuyasha smiled at her as she agreed to let him carry her home.

When they arrived home Kagome's mom was quite shocked to come out of her room for some water to see Inuyasha holding Kagome in his arms like nothing. He simply told her mom "long story" and walked to Kagome's room.
