Kagome and Inuyasha both stood over Ang's limp form. Ang had been unconscious for three whole days and the group was back at Kaede's hut. Kagome was more than surprised when she saw Ang for the first time. She hadn't expected to see her as a Hanyou, but she was still the same loving person under the demon exterior. She was a rather beautiful demon though; she couldn't help but wonder if she would look like that if Inuyasha chose her to be his mate. She sighed inwardly; Ang would be devastated when she woke up.

"Kagome, lets go to bed now. It's obvious she ain't going to wake up just yet."

Inuyasha took her by the arm and pulled her over to her sleeping bag.

"Inuyasha, can I tell you something?" Kagome whispered.

He just nodded and sat beside her.

"Ang was going to help me with something before she left. But I think I would rather just tell you now before it's to late."

Inuyasha looked at her and could see just by the way her eyes were shining, that she was dead serious.

"What are you talking about?" He asked worriedly.

"Inuyasha, I know you love Kikyou, and I have tried so hard to stop myself, but I never stood a chance. I fell in love with you Inuyasha. I tried not to, but I couldn't help it."

She let tears flow from her eyes and he wrapped an arm around her shoulders.

"I am glad you said something Kagome. I fell in love with you too, not Kikyou. Just like you, I tried not to fall, but I guess fate and destiny didn't want it that way."

Kagome looked into his golden eyes and for the first time, saw the love reflecting in his eyes.

"I love you so much Inuyasha." She said before he kissed her.

"It's about damned time!"

The couple jumped at the sound of a voice behind them.

"ANG! Your awake." Kagome crawled over to sit next to Ang.

"Yea, I feel fine." She said sitting up.

"That's wonderful Ang."

Kagome patted Ang's back and went and sat with Inuyasha. Ang looked around and saw the others where still sleeping, Rin was over with Shippou and Sango. Miroku was on the other side of the room by himself. Only one person was missing.

"Where is Sesshoumaru?" She asked.

Kagome and Inuyasha both froze.

"Uh, Ang."

Inuyasha walked over to the door and picked up something wrapped in a blanket.

"Here."

He handed it to Ang and sat next to her. Somehow she knew whatever he was handing her wasn't good. Her fingers shook and she slowly peeled back the dark brown blanket.

"Tell me this isn't the Tenseiga." Her voice came out squeaky and low.

"I'm sorry Ang. He didn't make it."

Inuyasha sounded truly upset.

"What happened? How long have I been here?"

Kagome came and sat in front of Ang and looked up at her.

"We brought you here three days ago. As for Sesshoumaru, Naraku stabbed him through the chest with one of his tentacles. He didn't die at first, he was just unconscious. After you destroyed Naraku with your fire attack, he woke up and called for you, but you didn't hear him and you fainted. He gave the Tenseiga to Inuyasha to give to you and said he loved you, then he left this living world."

Ang listened and let silent tears fall down her cheeks. Inuyasha wrapped her in a hug.

"Where is his body?" She asked him.

He let her go and made her look him in the face.

"I know what you want to do, but it won't work. It only worked for Sesshoumaru. Besides, you have someone else to think about now, besides Rin."

Ang looked away from Rin and glared at him.

"What are you talking about Inuyasha?"

He rolled his eyes.

"Use your nose. What do you smell?"

She closed her eyes and sniffed the room. The scent of blood, tears, fear, pain and something else hit her nose. She concentrated on the new smell and tried to decipher it.

"It smells like flowers of some kind, and something else. I don't know, what is it Inuyasha?"

She sniffed again, but still couldn't figure it out.

"That smell, is the pregnant smell. That's the reason the smell is so foreign to you. You have never smelled it before, all women have the same one scent while pregnant, but once the babes are born, then you get the different smell."

Ang nearly fell of the bed.

"How can I be pregnant, We just, well, I can't be." She said quickly.

"Look, demon pregnancies don't last as long as human ones do. That's why we can tell. If Sesshoumaru were still alive, he would have known a couple days ago."

Inuyasha shrugged and looked at Kagome.

"Take me to Sesshoumaru. Please, I just want to see him again."

Inuyasha nodded and stood.

"Let's go before the others wake up. Kagome, tell them what happened ok."

He waited for Kagome's nod and then shot out the door with Ang close on his heels. Ang could smell Sesshoumaru as soon as she hit the night air. She sped up and passed Inuyasha.

"HEY! Wait up!" He called after her, trying to catch up.

She was too fast for him and he got left behind. She arrived to the battle scene and covered her nose with her hand.

"God it stinks. Death stinks!" She said and looked around.

Kohaku was gone from the tree she had leaned him on, she wondered what happened to him.

"Sango took him to Kaede, but the only thing she could do was keep him knocked out. He's still alive though." Inuyasha said landing behind her.

"What about Kagura? I know she was still alive."

Inuyasha nodded and walked over to the tree Kohaku was tied to before.

"Miroku let her go once Naraku was killed so she could live her life in peace."

Ang nodded and began her search for Sesshoumaru's body. She turned around and saw him propped up against a nearby tree. She walked over to him and kneeled next to him. She had brought the Tenseiga and instinctively put her hand on its hilt and then let it drop.

"Oh Sesshou." She cried and touched his face.

His skin was ice cold, but he had not yet started to decay. She brought his upper body towards her and laid him on her lap.

"Why did you have to go and die. What am I supposed to do without you?"

Her tears became more intense and she held him closer. She was still crying when she heard a loud thump in her ears.

"Huh."

She looked down and heard it again, but it wasn't coming from Sesshoumaru. Above his body was bright light was floating there.

"Sesshou? Is that you?"

The light came close to her face and she could immediately feel warmth and peace. Then she heard the thumping again.

"It... sounds like a…heartbeat."

She looked at the light and it floated to her side, near the Tenseiga. It was then that she noticed that it was glowing a dark blue color.

"Wow. I wonder, could I use it to restore him?" She asked herself and pulled the sword out of its sheath.

The light from the sword grew brighter instantly and the thumping heartbeat grew in her ears. The light floating above Sesshoumaru's body touched her face one more time and disappeared. She knew instantly that it had been her Sesshou.

"I will try it." She said to herself and laid him back on the ground.

The sword in her hand began to vibrate and glow even more. She lifted the sword and held it above her head.

"Ang! What are you doing?"

Inuyasha ran and tried to take the sword from her.

"I have to try Inuyasha. Even if it doesn't work."

He moved back and simply nodded. Ang felt more tears drip off her chin and she raised the sword once again. The thumping of the heartbeat grew so loud she winced in pain. Then in one sudden move, she brought Tenseiga down, slicing it through Sesshoumaru's body. A bright pink light filled the empty hole in his body and the slice she had made.

The light got so bright that both Inuyasha and Ang had to cover their eyes and turn away. The light quickly disappeared and Ang watched for any signs of him being alive. She looked him over and saw that the hole in his chest from Naraku was gone. His chest was slowly rising and falling as he took his first breaths.

"I don't fucking believe it! It worked!"

Inuyasha stood behind Ang and watched his brother slowly come back to life. Ang reached out and touched his face; it was no longer cold, but full of warmth. She smiled and cried once again.

"Sesshou, come back to me."

She leaned down and kissed his cheek and forehead. A hand grabbed hers and gave it a light squeeze.

"Angel? Didn't I tell you not to cry for me?" He whispered hoarsely.

She laughed and looked into his eyes.

"I missed you. How do you feel?" She asked.

He kissed the back of her hand and whispered, "Getting better."

He looked at her and saw a glow around her.

"Why are you glowing Ang?" Inuyasha, who was standing behind her, spoke up.

"She's not glowing." He said.

Sesshoumaru snapped to attention and sat up.

"What are you still doing here?" He asked angrily.

"He brought me back here so I could see you. I didn't expect to be able to revive you. I don't know why it happened."

Sesshoumaru smiled at her.

"I saw you. When you first got here. You looked at that tree and talked with Inuyasha then you came for me. I don't know why I didn't leave this world, but I waited, I knew you would come back. Seeing as how I was technically dead, the sword passed to you because you were my mate and a part of me. That's why you were allowed to use it."

He gripped her hand tighter and continued. "When you came and knelt next to me, I somehow was able to let you see me. I don't think Inuyasha saw me."

Ang looked up and he shook his head.

"I didn't see nothing, just Ang hack at you with that sword." He said nonchalantly.

Sesshoumaru, finally feeling better, stood and stretched his muscles.

"I'm so glad your back. I don't know what I would have done if I hadn't been able to bring you back."

Sesshoumaru pulled Ang into a loving embrace and stroked her hair.

"You would have went on living your life, raising our child and remembering me." He said against her hair.

She stiffened and pulled back.

"You KNEW?!"

Ang couldn't believe he knew.

"Yes. I knew, as soon as the child was conceived I could feel it. All Youkai fathers know."

Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha watched as Ang turned red in the face.

"You mean to tell me that you knew about OUR baby and you didn't say a WORD to me!"

Sesshoumaru nodded and took her hands in his.

"Don't worry about it, love. It's nice to come back to family of your own."

She smiled and lanced his fingers with hers.

"We'd better be getting back. Don't want the others to worry. Boy will they be surprised to see you Sesshou!" Ang said excitedly.

They walked off through the woods and headed back to the village.

"Sesshou?"

He looked down on the top of her white head, and pulled back the little golden strand behind her ear.

"Yes, love?"

Ang leaned into him and wrapped an arm around his waist.

"Do you think the Tenseiga will work for poor Kohaku?"

Sesshoumaru absently ran a finger down Ang's spine to the small of her back, pondering her question. He knew that the boy had a shard of the jewel in his back, which allowed him to live.

"I think that there is a chance. If it can heal my wounds and restore me, then I don't doubt the power of Tenseiga." He said, still running his hand over his mate's back.

"Do you think that we can try to use it on Kohaku? I know Sango must miss him terribly."

She tightened her grip on his waist, afraid to let him go.

"We can try, love. But I wouldn't go raising her hopes, just in case it doesn't work."

Ang nodded glanced at Inuyasha walking behind them.

"You don't have to walk so far back Inuyasha."

Ang stopped and waited for him to catch up.

"Don't worry about me. I'm fine." He said and walked past the couple.

"I'm glad you finally told her how you feel Inuyasha. But, if you don't mind me asking, what do you plan to do about Kikyou?"

The question came as a surprised to Inuyasha.

"I don't really know. I want her to finally know peace, but I don't know how to make that happen without sacrificing myself."

Then Ang had a thought.

"Well, wasn't Naraku the one who had Kikyou revived. Since he is gone, maybe she's gone too."

Sesshoumaru nodded in agreement.

"That would be accurate." He said.

Inuyasha was surprised to see Sesshoumaru actually acting civil for once in his life.

"Yeah, I suppose." Inuyasha said as the group came into view of the village.

Rin and Shippou were playing in a garden near Kaede's hut, while Miroku, Sango, Kagome and Kaede sat under a nearby tree.
