Fog gathers on a dark night, the moon is full. Clouds gather in the sky and a dark figure stand high on a skyscraper. It is horrid waiting for its moment to strike. For this creature has been watching her waiting for her.

"Now is the time for me to rise." It said aloud as if to proclaim its destiny. "The nightmare will come for I am it. Who I was is dead now and I am Nightmare." He said with anger.

Nightmare walk to the edge of the room looking down on the city. The many lights shone brightly he hated the light. "I will cause this city and the world in shadows." Nightmare growled at the light and the people but no one heard.

Nightmare in the fog and darkness disappeared through time to an era. Feeling great hate toward the one whom distorted his hand. Nightmare's hand was deformed with three large fingers with claws on each. "I will kill you Inu-Yasha. Before I do that I'll kill all you care for." Thought the creature passing into the darkness. Falling into a mist covering everything as it cleared Nightmare came to the past. A dense forest surrounded him birds sung it was morning light shone through the trees.

"I will kill them all. They will pay." He thought gripping two fists and walking through the trees. Nightmare hair flowed in the wind even though he was an evil creature at first glance he appears beautiful all but his right hand. Smelling the air for a stench of Inu-Yasha. "Father I'll find you. And finish what I started. You won't escape." Nightmare spoke to himself as always since no one cared for him.

Alone in the world since he was a child and he learned to fear nothing like his father Inu-Yasha. Nightmare sat on a rock he came across. "Is he my father I look more like my Uncle Sesshomaru." Staring at his hand crushing a bird foolish enough to land on it. "I'm not half no truly I'm whole is that possible." After hours of thinking and pondering he began his quest to kill Inu-Yasha.
