I’m back for another chapter. It’s getting a bit of a challenge to keep up with all my stories so sorry if I don’t update on time. ON WITH THE STORY!!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It took three days to get back her energy but Kagome managed. The weekend was approaching and she smiled at the thought of a weekend with her son.At the end of the day Inu Yasha and Koga walked with her to the gym to talk with the teacher about next week’s lessons.They left an hour later going home at a slow pace. Kagome rode with Inu Yasha today. She didn’t feel like driving and was still to tired at times. Times were getting complex.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
< /i> Saturday came and it seemed like no one wanted to get up. Koga and Inu Yasha had once again blocked Kagome in the bed making it so there was no way out. She growled and had a thought of pushing both of them from the bed but remembered what happened last time she did that. Growling again she sighed and lay still on her side. She could always just go through the bed and come up somewhere near the dresser. Na.
Kagome heard someone downstairs. It had to be Tash or Isa. Kagome sighed once again and fell into the bed and back up next to the dresser. She dressed and combed out her hair before falling into the floor and into the kitchen. Tash and Isa sat at the kitchen bar.
“Warning, coming though the wall.” Kagome stepped out near the door way. No one seemed to jump.
“Morning” Tash greeted. He looked up from his paper with a smile.
“Morning.” Kagome hopped up on a stool and spun it around to face the table. “Shippo still asleep?”
“Ya. He’s out.” Isa said putting down her book.
“Good.” Kagome spun the stool around again and hopped off. She dug through the cabinets and pulled out a bowl. She then raided the pantry for the stuff needed for a cake. “How many people are coming for Shippo’s birthday?” Kagome called.
“About 15 I would guess.” Tash called back.
“Well that won’t do.” Kagome growled dumping the ingredients to the cake on the counter. She dug through the drawers for the measuring cups.
“What won’t do?”
“Never mind.” Kagome shook her head and began the process of baking her son’s birthday cake.

Placing the two large cake pans in the double oven Kagome set the timer and put her dishes up. She ran out the room and up the stairs into her room.
“Inu Yasha, Koga.” Kagome growled, jumping on the bed. They looked up at her as if she was crazy. “Come on get up.” She falsely pouted.
“Let’s not.” Koga let his head fall back onto the bed.
“Please. I have to go get Shippo a birthday present. Isa has instructions on what to do with the cakes. And Tash has instructions on to take Shippo ‘out’ for a while. Please get up.” Kagome whined. This was the closest she had ever gotten to begging.
“Kagome, you are nuts. It’s Saturday. Time to sleep in.” Inu Yasha pulled the cover over his head. Kagome growled and crawled off the bed. Grabbing the end of the sheet she ripped it off the two demons and tossed it to the floor. They looked at her and grabbed a pillow covering their heads.
“You both have three seconds to get up.”
“Or what?” Koga’s voice was muffled.
“Or you won’t like what I do.” Kagome growled. “It will kill you more than me.” She added after a minute.
“You can’t do anything.” Inu Yasha replied.
“Fine.” Kagome turned and stalked over to the door. Opening it she stepped out and called back into the room. “Hope you like sleeping together cause im out for a week.” She shut the door.
Jogging down the stairs she grabbed her car keys and the credit card Inu Yasha gave her. She opened the door and took a step out.
“Kagome!!!” Someone yelled from up stairs. She smiled and exited the house. Climbing in her car through the window she buckled up and started the engine. Rolling the window up she started to drive down the driveway when she stopped and climbed back out of her car to run back in the house to get her phone.
Grabbing the cell phone from the hall table she looked up at the stairs and shook her head. Going back to her car she got back in and left the grounds going first to get gas then to downtown Tokyo.

Kagome was stopped at a stop light when her phone went off. She looked at the screen and put it back down ignoring the call. It was just the boys.
What should I get Shippo? Kagome asked herself. The boy was always reading and Tash had mentioned he had been wanting new books. But she had no clue what he liked.
The light turned green and Kagome raced to the bookstore. She pulled into a parking spot and crawled out the window. Grabbing her cell phone she dialed Isa’s cell.
“Hello? What do you need hun?” Isa asked on the second ring. In the background you could hear Inu Yasha and Koga ranting about how they were screwed.
“What does Shippo like to read?” Kagome looked at the shelves of books but nothing interested her.
“Well he likes fantasy, and dragons. He’s been wanting a new book that we can’t find. Something like The chronicles of Naria...Narnia...something like that.” Kagome smiled and headed back to the fantasy books. She looked at the shelves but couldn’t find the book.
“I might have to call in a favor....thanks mom.” Kagome smiled to herself. In the background she heard Koga ask who Isa was talking too. “I’ll let you go. It’s not me.”
“Ok bye.” Isa hung up and so did Kagome.
Kagome dialed Draco’s number.
“Speak.” Draco growled on the other side.
“I need to know where I can find a book. The chronicles of Narnia.
“Try the bookstore on thirty-first and main. Is that it?” Draco asked quickly.
“Thanks.” Kagome hung up shaking her head. She headed out the door and back to her car.

It took her half an hour to get to thirty-first and main. There was no bookstore though. She pulled over to the curb and called back Draco.
“Not finding it.” She growled.
“Get out of the car and go into the alley. There’s a door. Go in it. Now I’m busy. Anything else.”
“No.” Kagome hung up biting back a retort. She followed his directions and entered a very elegant looking coffee shop.
Kagome walked to the fiction section and found the wanted book. She took it from the shelf and looked at the price tag. Fifty dollars. Kagome stared at the book.
A sales clerk walked up behind Kagome. “Can I help you?”
“Ya I want to buy this book.”
“You do know this is the whole series.” The girl said taking the hard cover book.
“No, it’s not for me, im not much of a reader. It’s for my son.” The girl turned around and looked Kagome over but didn’t say anything.

Kagome payed for the book and headed back out to her car. She climbed in and headed back to the house. Her phone ringing the whole ride. Kagome looked at the clock she had only been gone an hour. She parked her car and climbed out.
Koga and Inu Yasha stalked out the door and Kagome ignored them. She held the book close to her chest in the bag. Pushing past her mates she said nothing. They turned to grab her but Isa appeared in the door way.
“Did you find it?” Kagome held up the said parcel and walked up the stairs. She shut the door and walked into the kitchen where Isa had laid out great amounts of wrapping paper.
Kagome looked at the rolls and picked out a simple green one. Isa wrapped it while she dealt with the cake. Surprisingly to Kagome it was cooled.
“Cook is a fire and ice demon.” Isa explained.
Kagome nodded like that explained everything. Cutting the cakes so they lay flat Kagome frosted the middle and lifted the second to lay on top. Isa had made the frosting and dyed some each different color possible.
Inu Yasha and Koga walked in the room and went unnoticed. Inu Yasha’s ears pressed to his head. And Koga’s face dropped more.
Kagome ignored them finding it very hard. She emptied the white frosting onto the cake and spread it around. Once the cake was covered she dug through the drawers and found a cake tool to flatten the top and sides completely. She poured a little warm water into a plate and began smoothing out the edges of the cake.
When Kagome was done she stepped back and looked at her work. Inu Yasha and Koga had taken up posts in front of her their heads laying to the counter pouting. She let out a sigh and scraped off the extra frosting and slid plate of extra cake to her mates. Trying hard not to smile. They looked up at her and she nodded to them. They perked up a little.
Kagome filled one of the many frosting bags with blue frosting and placed a thin design around the edges making it look like broken glass. She added a border like the store bought cakes. On the top she switched colors and wrote in a very neat and elegant cursive, Happy birthday Shippo.
She handed the red frosting to Inu Yasha and the blue to Koga. They said nothing but continued to watch. Isa made her way over also.
Kagome looked at the cake and picked up the yellow. Changing the tip to a fine point she free handed a small fox like the one Shippo had airbrushed on his shoulder. Handing the yellow to Isa she grabbed the purple and free handed a dragon. They looked kinda funny but cute. Still the room was silent. Kagome wiped her head and picked up the last color. Black.
She stared at the cake for a minute and began to make the broken mirror design again on the top. Above the dragon and the fox she made the design of clouds in the cracks. Kagome set the black frosting bag down and stepped back looking at her work.
“Kami, Kagome. That is like impossible. It’s so perfect.” Iza squealed. Kagome smiled up at her and shook her hands working the sleeping muscles. Grabbing the purple frosting bag Kagome stuck out her tongue and placed a large amount on it. She smiled and shrugged.
“Ok, I’m going to take a nap. You can call dad and tell him to bring Shippo back in about two hours. Also call Sango and tell her to call everyone else. I think Draco and Rin are coming at one.” Kagome stretched and arched her back.
Isa took the cake and placed a cover on it. Kagome walked around the counter and into the living room to lay down on the couch.
“Why don’t you go up to your room?” Isa asked.
Kagome turned on the radio using the remote. “I’m fine.” Kagome curled up.
“Ok” Isa said in doubt but left it alone.
Kagome closed her eyes and opened them a few minutes later as a blanket was draped over her. She looked up to see Inu Yasha and Koga covering her with the comforter from the bed.
“Thanks.” She mumbled.
“We know sorry won’t work this time.” Koga said.
“I only wanted someone to help me find a present.” Kagome yawned and pulled the comforter closer.
“We know now.” Inu Yasha mumbled. Kagome looked up at the two demons and stared at their depressed faces.
“I can’t stay mad at you.” Kagome whispered. Their faces were breaking her heart. She sat up and motioned for her mates to sit. Koga sat to the left of Kagome and Inu Yasha to the right. She stretched out on top of them and they moved closer together. Kagome rested her head in Inu Yasha’s lap and her lower back in Koga’s. Inu Yasha petted her hair and Koga lightly scrapped his claws over her hands. Kagome smiled and fell into a light sleep.

Isa woke the three sleeping lovers on the couch. Kagome was held in Inu Yasha’s arms against his chest, her head on his shoulder. Koga had brought her lower body closer to him and rested a hand on her hip. All three sleeping softly. It was twelve- thirty and Tash would be home in an hour and a half.
“Kagome. Inu Yasha. Koga.” Isa spoke softly. Two sets of ears twitched and two tails twitched. The three teens opened there eyes almost at the same time. “Come on. Time to get up. We got an hour and a half.
Kagome nodded and wiped her eyes. She yawned and snuggled closer to Inu Yasha. She looked up Iza and nodded. “We’re awake. Give us a minute to get around.” Isa smiled and left the three alone.
“What are we doing in and hour and a half?” Inu Yasha yawned.
“Balloons, streamers, food, and lots of other decorations.” Kissing Inu Yasha, Kagome crawled out of her mates embrace and kissed Koga. She then stumbled out of the comforter and into the hall towards the kitchen.
“Aww....Kagome. Your cooking right?” Kagome pushed her hair back and nodded. Isa smiled and handed her an apron. “Shippo said he wanted everything, I know you know what that means.” Kagome nodded and stumbled out of the kitchen. She cranked up the stereo and walked back to the kitchen. Inu Yasha and Koga were getting handed tape and streamers. Kagome placed on the apron and set to work cooking and dancing to certain songs.
Tasting the hot and spicy soup Kagome wrinkled her face. “MOTHER!” She screamed. Iza looked in the kitchen. “It don’t taste right.” Kagome whined. Iza took th spoon and tried the soup she shrugged.
“Tastes fine to me.”
“INU YASHA....KOGA!” Kagome yelled Both demons appeared quickly.
“Is something wrong?” They panted.
“Yes.” “No.” Iza and Kagome looked at each other. “No.” “Yes.”
Inu Yasha and Koga looked at each other and walked over to the counter where Iza gave them a spoon and they took a sip of the soup.
“That tastes great.” They both took a second bite. Iza turned around and turned on the water turning her head and drinking straight from the faucet. Inu Yasha looked at his mother strangely. Koga took a third bite and Kagome glared at him replacing the cover. Koga blushed. Inu Yasha’s eyes grew wide and he jumped over the counter and took his mother’s place at the sink. Kagome held up five fingers and counter down silently. Koga’s eyes widened as a fire began building in his mouth. A tear escaped his eyes and the fire kept increasing. He stuck out his tongue and it didn’t help. The fire built up in his throat. Jumping over the counter as Inu Yasha had he pushed Inu Yasha out of the way and let the water run in his mouth. Kagome walked over to the fridge and handed Iza the jug of milk. She took a big gulp and handed it to her son who did the same.
At that time Draco and Rin were walking in the door. They walked into the kitchen. Koga snatched the milk jug out of Inu Yasha’s hands and downed half of it.
“Hello what’s up?” Draco asked smiling.
“Taste this. Tell me what’s wrong with it.” Kagome handed Draco a spoon. He looked back at Rin and took a spoon full of the soup. He ate it and licked his lips. Inu Yasha and Koga both flinched as he took a second and third bite. Kagome put the cover on it and held up her hand and began counting down.
Draco’s eyes began to water and his face turned red. He scrambled around the counter to the sink and gulped down water from the sink. It wasn’t working. He turned and grabbed the milk from Koga and finished off the gallon. Panting he sat the empty carton on the counter.
“Well?” Kagome asked.
“What the hell did you put in that? Hell it’s self?” Draco coughed.
“Everything is done except for this.” Kagome gestured to the soup.
“Boys you keep Shippo busy. Rin you finish decorating. Have Tash and Sessh try that. See what they say.” Iza held her throat. Kagome nodded.
Iza pulled out her cell phone and called her husband. “Tash, come on home. The boys are going to keep Shippo busy....is he ok?....ok.....yes....see you in a few.” She hung up.
“Is Shippo ok?” Kagome asked worried.
“Ya just in a bit of pain.” Iza smiled and waved it off.
Inu Yasha and Koga both placed a hand on Kagome. She bite her lip. “What happened?”
“Oh. Tash took him to talk to your friend about the tattoo. They got it done and Shippo is being tough. Nothing big.” Kagome let out a breath she had been holding. He wanted it, he was a big boy. Kagome nodded.
“I’m going outside for a bit it’s hot in here.” Kagome fanned herself.
“I think we’ll all join you.” Iza spoke up. Kagome smiled and led the way out of the kitchen. Draco kept his tongue out of his mouth.
Kagome sighed and sat down on the stairs of the house. She began humming.
“Hey Kagome, sing to us.” Inu Yasha sat down next to her and gave her his famous puppy face.
Kagome groaned. All eyes turned to her. “Suggestions?”
“Do you know ‘before he cheats’?” Draco spoke up after a minute.
Kagome nodded. She thought for a moment.
Right now he's probably slow dancing with a bleach blonde tramp, and she's probably getting frisky...right now, he's probably buying her some fruity littledrink cause she can't shoot whiskey...Right now, he's probably up behind her with apool-stick, showing her how to shoot a combo...And he don't know...That I dug my key into the side of his prettylittle suped up 4 wheel drive, carved my name into his leather seat...I took a Louisville slugger to both head lights, slashed a hole in all 4 tires...And maybe next time he'll think before he cheats.Right now, she's probably up singing somewhite-trash version of Shania karaokeRight now, she's probably saying "I'm drunk"and he's a-thinking that he's gonna get lucky,Right now, he's probably dabbing on 3 dollarsworth of that bathroom polo...And he don't know...That I dug my key into the side of his prettylittle suped up 4 wheel drive, carved my name into his leather seat,I took a Louisville slugger to both head lights, slashed a hole in all 4 tires...And maybe next time he'll think before he cheats.I might saved a little trouble for the next girl,Cause the next time that he cheats...Oh, you know it won't be on me!Ohh... not on me...Cause I dug my key into the side of his prettylittle suped up 4 wheel drive, carved my name into his leather seat...I took a Louisville slugger to both head lights, slashed a hole in all 4 tires...Maybe next time he'll think before he cheats.Ohh.. Maybe next time he'll think before he cheats...Ohh... before he cheats...Ohh-ooh...

Kagome finished her voice fading out. Koga had sat down and laid his head on her shoulder. Iza smiled and clapped.
“I’m so glad my son choose you. And Koga is so lucky also.” Both men blushed and looked to the ground. Kagome coughed and covered her mouth.
A limo pulled up to the steps. No one had even noticed it pull in. Shippo, Tash and Sesshomaru stepped out. Shippo walked over to Kagome and crawled into her lap. Kagome smiled as he showed her proudly the tattoo. Kagome smiled and hugged him lightly.
“It looks very like you.” She smiled.
“Grandpa Tash got one too.” Shippo smiled.
“Really now.” Iza turned her attention to her mate. He laughed and pulled his white mane to the side to show a rose with her name in it. The design looked weeks old compared to Shippo’s.
Inu Yasha stood up. “Come on Shippo. Why don’t we go play out back.” Shippo nodded and grabbed his hand pulling the dog demon. Inu Yasha grabbed Koga and pulled him along also.
“Now for you two.” Kagome watched her mates go. “I need your opinions.” She stood dusting herself off and headed inside.
Grabbing two more spoons from the drawer she handed them to Tash and Sesshomaru. Lifting the lid to the soup she waved away the steam and stepped back. Tash and Sesshomaru took a bite...then another....and another. Rin, Kagome and Isa watched as they took bite after bite. Rin headed to the fridge and grabbed a gallon of milk.
“This is wonderful.” Tash said between mouthfuls. Kagome cut them off by placing the lid back on after they had about what amounted to almost a bowl. Sesshomaru set his spoon down.
“Yes that was very wonderful.” He wiped his mouth.
“I could probably eat that just alone.” Tash smiled and patted Kagome on the back.
The girls looked between each other and held up three fingers counting down.
“Three...Two...One.” They said at the same time.
Tash dove for the milk Rin had placed on the counter. Sesshomaru’s face was turning redder by the moment. Tash handed the half full gallon of milk to his son and Sesshomaru accepted it greedily.
Once the milk was gone and both demons were breathing normally, “So what is it missing?” Kagome asked looking in the pot. Tash stared at the steam swearing that it had a slight tint of red to it.
“Missing...nothing.” Tash rasped out. His throat burning.
“Was that necessary to have us look like fools?” Sesshomaru croaked.
“We all tried it.” Draco said from his place leaning against the wall.
“I vote we toss the soup and try again.” Rin said.
“No it’s to late for that.” Kagome replaced the lid and removed the pot from it’s burner.
“I know. There’s an old wive’s tail that if you put a potato in it the fire will die down in your chilli.” Isa said finally remembering it from the past. She, never being a cook, had no use for it.
“It’s worth a try.” Kagome turned and went into the pantry to get a potato. She washed it off and peeled it. Cutting the potato in half she set it into the bottom of the pan. There was almost a full pot left, surprisingly. Placing on the lid she leaned against the counter.
“Everything is laid out on the table. The pool is set and everything is a go.” Kagome smiled. “There’s snacks outside, dinner will be in here. The cake can be cut where ever. Ice cream has been made and it in the large freezer in the pantry cooling.” A buzzer went off on the stove and Kagome squeezed by Draco opening the oven to show what looked like cupcakes. “Crap.” Kagome took out the two trays. Opened the top and pulled out two more. She squeeze by Rin and opened the second oven pulling out two more trays. All the trays holding the same little muffins. She let out a sigh.
“COOK!!” Kagome yelled and every moved from the small area they stood to behind the island.
“Yes, Mrs. Kagome?” A heavy set woman asked poking her head in.
“I need help cooling these.” Kagome whined.
The cook smiled and scrambled over. She ran her left hand over them and smiled. “Anything for you.”
“Thanks.” Kagome said and pulled out a chopping knife. She pulled out a handful from the pans and set them on the cutting board. She set to cutting them into small chunks.
Tash let out a whine as his daughter-in-law destroyed good smelling food. She looked up at him still cutting. She grabbed more and cut them along with the others. Pushing the fragments out of the way with the knife Kagome reached over and handed Tash one of the small muffins he accepted the small morsel with delight similar to that of a boy.

Kagome finished chopping all the muffins losing only a few to whining observers. Even the cook herself. Kagome went to the fridge and pulled out a bowl. And dumped the crumbs into it. Using a spoon she stirred it up and formed balls. She set them on a tray of colored wax paper.
“What is that stuff?” Tash asked poking at the white cream.
“This and that.” Kagome pulled out a pot from under the cabinet and tuned the stove on under it. Grabbing two bars of chocolate from behind her off the counter, she tossed them in the pot. Once the chocolate had melted she took a spoon and covered each ball with chocolate. Placing the 3/4 empty bowl in front of her friends she took the tray in pushed it into the freezer.
“Ok. Now we’re done.” Kagome leaned against the counter and slid to the floor. She groaned and stood with some effort. “Now to go play with my son until everyone is here.” Kagome excused herself and headed out the front door to the side of the house. She just wanted to sleep but that wasn’t an option at the moment. Holding back a yawn she walked around the house jumping into the air just in time to avoid an on coming stampede. Turning in the air she watched as her mates chased her son around laughing and playing. She floated softly to the ground and let out a sigh. Taking a set against the house she watched them.

“Get back here!” Inu Yasha growled as he chased his adoptive son.
Shippo turned around and stuck out his tongue. He threw a leaf creating a cloud of air and bound back towards the house leaving his fathers in the smoke. As he scampered he noticed Kagome sitting against the house and smiled as she waved at him.
Inu Yasha coughed the smoke out of his lungs and looked around through the settling smoke for the annoying kitsune. Koga coughed behind him holding onto his shoulder for balance. Growling they headed back to the house looking in every direction for the boy.

Shippo took a seat by Kagome and smiled. “How you feeling?” She asked.
“Fine.” Shippo panted. Kagome laughed and ruffled his hair. “You want to play?”
“Sure what are you playing?” Kagome stretched her tired muscles.
“Tag. I’m it, but somehow they started chasing me.” Shippo smiled and shrugged.
“Tag me.” Shippo touched her and looked at her.
“Ready set go.” Kagome winked and disappeared into the ground.
Shippo scampered away looking back only once.

Kagome smiled as she came up behind Koga. He looked to the left as Inu Yasha looked to the right. Moving up she leaned in to his ear as close as she dared.
“Your it.” She breathed pushing the wolf into Inu Yasha.
Koga swore as he fell forward. The two demons crashed to the ground in a mess. Koga looked back growling. Kagome laughed and blew a kiss towards them before jumping and running away.
“That’s not cool.” Inu Yasha sighed. “You so should have heard her.”
“ME!? What about you. You should have smelled her!” Koga jumped to his feet. Inu Yasha climbed to his feet and dusted himself off.
“So Kagome’ playing now. So us verses her and Shippo. They will so lose.” Inu Yasha clenched his fist and started to run after Kagome. Koga following behind.

Kagome caught Shippo’ scent near the stables. She called out his name and a orange head popped out of a pile of hay. “You and me verses the boys.” She smiled and crept over to the hiding place. Shippo jumped into her lap and together they hid behind the hay.
Inu Yasha and Koga came in sometime later. Kagome put a finger to her lips and held Shippo tighter. She flowed into the earth and up into his bedroom. Shippo laughed holding his ribs.
“Stay here a minute.” Shippo nodded and started to calm down.
Kagome slipped out of the room and down stairs to the living room. Isa looked up from wrapping. “Hey. Anything you need help with?”
“Nope. But Sango called and said to call her back.” Kagome nodded and went back to Shippo. She grabbed the phone from the hall as she went.
Entering the room she smiled as Shippo watched out the window.
Dialing Sango she looked out the window as well.
“Hey it’s me, what’s up?” Kagome asked holding back a laugh as Inu Yasha and Koga looked around stupidly.
“We got problems.” Kagome’ face fell and she stepped out of the room into the hall.
“What do you mean Sango.” Her voice was hard and held a note of authority.
“Dagger’s been found and took out a good 6 members. We followed him to a warehouse and found a weapon that could well take out a few blocks.” Kagome bit her fist to stop from cussing.
“Do you have it, or did he get it?” Kagome asked.
“We have it but don’t know what to do with it. It’s a type of laser.”
“Ok, Bring it here and I’ll take a look at it. If I can’t do anything then maybe someone in the gang will know about weapons. Nice work.”
“We’ll all be there in 20 or so.” Sango hung up and Kagome walked down the hall. She would not do this to Shippo. Put the gang in front of family as her parents had so many times. She hung the phone up and headed downstairs. Draco and Tash were laughing and holding what looked like scotch.
“What’s up darlin’?” Draco asked swirling the liquid in his glass around.
“Huh? Oh, nothing.” Kagome lied and took his glass draining it. She handed it back to him and took a seat on the couch. Isa walked in smiling but stopped and headed over to Kagome quickly.
“Kagome, what’s wrong?” Isa sat down beside the girl and grabbed her hands holding them in her own.
“Sango and everyone are on their way. I’m going to go tell the boys.” She when to stand and almost fell. Tash caught her before she fell to the ground.
“Draco I believe that the boys need to come here, quickly.” Tash ordered and the dragon rushed out of the room. “What’s wrong?” Isa asked again.
“Nothing. Nothing that needs to be said right now, I won’t put the gang in front of family.” Kagome looked into her in-law’s eyes and hardened her face.
“Kagome. That’s understandable but what is wrong?” Tash growled. He understood where she was coming from but she wasn’t acting right. He knew what it was like to have to put work ahead of things and regret it later. He after all was a politician of Japan.

Inu Yasha and Koga burst into the room and their eyes fell on Kagome. Her skin was lighter than normal and her features were harder. She looked at them and the soft loving woman they loved, was gone.
“Shippo’s in his room. I think I’m going to go for a walk.” She stood on wobbly feet and walked out brushing by her mates.
“Something’s wrong. She called Sango then came back acting like that.” Tash pulled Isa into his arms. “Something is wrong with the gang. Kagome’ putting Shippo in front of it but what has her so off?”
Everyone looked at each other and shrugged.

Kagome jumped off the steps and out towards the garden. She didn’t want this kind of news, not now. She stopped in front of one of the fountains and sat down. The sun was high in the air still and the sky was empty of any clouds. Kagome laid down on the edge of the fountain and stared up.
“So what are you going to do?”
Kagome jumped but looked to her side. “What do you care? Your dead Naraku.” She hissed.
“Are you sure?” He smiled.
“Whatever.” Kagome looked away from him and towards the shooting water.
“It’s a weapon that draws out the demon in every, well, demon. They turn into savages and recognize no one.” Kagome could feel his eyes drinking her in but ignored it. “I don’t know what it would do to you though since you only have a small amount of blood in you veins and quite a bit of miko.”
“You forget, I have a demon child growing in me. What effect does that have. Mothers will do quiet a bit to protect their young. Especially demons, if I’m correct.”
“You are.” Naraku smiled sadly. “Kami, what I wouldn’t do to have that be my child.”
Kagome snorted. “Back to the problem Naraku, how do I disable it?”
Naraku let out a sigh. “Take out the power cell. When you see it you’ll understand, but it won’t be easy. If you need help just call me and I’ll come.” He smiled.
“I don’t think a lot of people would like me yelling out your name. It looks bad.” Kagome turned to look at him but he was already gone. “Damn men.” She growled.

Kagome sat in the living room watching as Sango brought in the gun. The coffee table had been cleared off just for it. Sango set down the gun and Kagome leaned forward running her finger over the metal.
“Ok. So just take out the power cell. Not so hard.” She whispered. “All demons need to leave.” Her voice was hard and that of a leader. Inu Yasha and Koga opened their mouths but Kagome repeated her orders.
The doors were closed and Kagome, Sango, and Rin stared at the large weapon.
“Damn him.” Kagome growled.
“Dagger went way over his head with this.” Sango touched the cold metal.
“Ya, a weapon that forces the wild demon from the body, causing the said demon to go into a type of blood lust.” Kagome leaned back and crossed her arms.
“And how do you know this?” Sango asked looking at her friend.
“Contacts.” Kagome looked to the ceiling wanting nothing more than to rip said contact’s throat out.
Rin let out a sigh. “Sometimes I’m grateful I’m not a demon.”
“Lucky you, I’m half. Kami knows what this thing could do to me.” Kagome leaned forward and began inspecting it. “Help me find the power cell.”
Sango and Rin started looking as well but after almost an hour, it was impossible to find.
“Stupid god damn son of a bitch know we couldn’t find it.” Kagome stood up and stomped around the room to the doors.
“INU YASHA, KOGA, DRACO, get your asses in here.”Kagome screamed.
The three men can stumbling out of know where panting hard. “Get guns and knives. Anything that can kill.” She snarled walking back into the room.

Kagome locked the doors once her mates and friends were in the room. She stomped into the middle of the room and looked around. “No attacking.” Her mood was none to good and it was going to get worse.
“Ok you son of a bitch, get you ass out here and take care of this damn thing.” Kagome all but screamed.
Inu Yasha and Koga looked worried at their mate. She was mad and acting crazy.
“You know I won’t hurt you so what is all the weapons for.” A voice laughed from somewhere deep in the room.
“Because I can.” Kagome snarled whipping around looking for the man.
“Can’t figure it out?” Naraku asked coming into sight near the doors.
“You fucking knew we couldn’t so stop horsing around and take it apart.” Kagome hummed with energy and advanced to Naraku.
“Pushy.” He turned to Inu Yasha and Koga. “Is she always like this?” He asked them.
“Don’t talk to them. You said if I call out to you, you would help. Start helping.” Kagome was furious. The line Hell hath no fury like a womans scorn, didn’t even cover it.
“Thought you were dead.” Draco growled. Inu Yasha And Koga both joined in and stepped towards Naraku.
Naraku laughed and ignored them. He took a step towards kagome and thought better.
Kagome watched as Naraku took the weapon apart in sections. She had been to annoyed with the day to even think of trying what he was. Finally a green ball of liquid came out. Naraku stood and handed it to Kagome.
“Anything else?” Kagome shuddered at the voice. IT sounded so much like Sesshomaru but held the eerie tone still of a killer.
“No. Now get out, we’ll talk later.” Naraku smiled and disappeared
Kagome fell to her knees. Her breathing was hard and She fought back tears. “Kamis save me.” She set the ball on the table and motioned Sango over.
“I want this locked up in the vault. Take the energy to the labs and get it tested. I want this thing broke down. See if it can be used for something other then....evil.” Sango nodded and set to the task. Kagome looked at the clock. It had only taken an hour and a half. The whole day wasn’t screwed.
Stand with help from the couch Kagome relaxed. “We can’t pretend this never happened because Dagger has gotten more dangerous. It’s time we started a hunt. For now though. It is my sons birthday.” Kagome walked out of the room and left everyone.
