Didn't I Give You All That I've Got To Give Baby

 

 

InuYasha, Kagome, Kaede, and Monk Masahiro sat on the floor of the monk's house. The room they were in was spare and unadorned. The monk sat cross-legged and listened impassively while Kaede described Kagome's situation. InuYasha fidgeted nervously, and when Kaede began to tell the monk what had happened when he and Kagome had sex, InuYasha blushed and Kagome had to grab his hand to keep him from fleeing. Just when the distraught hanyou thought he would not be able take anymore, Kaede had finished talking.

 

They all looked at the monk and waited. Monk Masahiro sat in contemplative silence. The wait was putting InuYasha on edge. He started to growl and flexed his claws. Kagome closed her eyes and took a breath, praying for patience from the temperamental half demon.

 

“I will try and help you,” said Masahiro. “But first I must see this blue light energy for myself.”

 

“What?!” said InuYasha, jumping up. “We told you monk, it's too dangerous for Kagome to use her powers!”

 

Unfazed, monk Masahiro regarded the irate half demon.

 

“I must examine this energy as it manifests when you have sex,” he said evenly.

 

“WHAT?!” InuYasha yelled in shock and dismay.

 

He turned beet red, and his jaw dropped. “You got to be kidding me! I'm outta here!” InuYasha growled and stalked out of the house.

 

Kagome was blushing as well, but mostly she was embarrassed by the way InuYasha was acting. She shook her head, covering her face with her hand. Although she was also intimidated by having an audience while they had sex, she was ready to steel herself and see this through. What choice did they have? She had to master her powers if she was to have any control. She realized that InuYasha had to get over his embarrassment and be reminded of what happens when her powers take control of her, and the aftermath. He was sure to see the necessity of doing as monk Masahiro asked when faced with the danger her powers posed to her… she hoped.

 

Kagome looked up and saw that Kaede and Monk Masahiro were watching her.

 

“I understand that you must see this blue energy for yourself to help us,” she said quietly. “I'm willing to do what you ask.”

 

“I'm glad ye see sense,” said Kaede. “But what about InuYasha?”

 

“I'll go get him,” Kagome said, standing up. “I will just have to convince him of how important this is.”

 

Kagome walked out of the house and looked around. She knew InuYasha would never leave her, no matter what he might be feeling. It would just take some looking and calling to find him.

 

She started walking out past the fields. Soon, she came across a woman and a boy working together. They looked up curiously as she stopped to talk to them.

 

“Have you seen a half demon, dressed in a red kimono, with dog ears and long, silver white hair?” she asked.

 

The boy nodded.

 

“He was running really fast,” said the boy. “He went that way.”

 

The boy pointed to the edge of the forest.

 

“Thank you,” she said smiling, and headed in that direction.

 

“InuYasha!” she called as the fields changed over to forest. “InuYasha, where are you?”

 

Standing with her hands on her hips, she looked around and waited for a response. Soon, she heard a rustling in the trees. InuYasha leaped down in front of her, scowling, and crossed his arms.

 

“Kagome, we have to find another way to get your powers under control,” he said.

 

“Look, InuYasha,” she said, “you have to admit that we had made the connection between our love making and my powers ourselves, first.”

 

“Yeah,” he said grudgingly.

 

“So it makes sense that in order to help us, the monk has to see for himself what happens.”

 

InuYasha growled unhappily.

 

“What alternative do you really think we have?” she said. “Maybe we should just stop having sex, if that's what's generating my powers.”

 

“What?” said InuYasha incredulously. “No way! You can't mean that, can you?”

 

Kagome just looked at him.

 

“Feh!” he said in aggravation, and took her in his arms.

 

“I don't want to give up making love to you,” he said into her hair. “I need you.”

 

He gave a long, resigned, sigh. “Alright, Kagome,” he said, “I'll do it.”
