Chapter 23

Didn't I Tell You What I Believe…That We Can Be More Powerful

Miroku and Sango shook their heads sadly and tried not to laugh as InuYasha and Kagome flailed about under the twisted silk sheets on the platform.

“Ouch!” Kagome yelled. “Watch your claws, InuYasha!”

“Sorry,” InuYasha replied. “Get off me so I can get these damn things off us! Ow! Kagome, don't put your knee there!”

“Your claws are pulling on my hair!”

“What's all the commotion?” said Masahiro, coming around the house to stand next to Miroku and Sango.

There was a loud ripping sound as InuYasha shredded the sheets and freed them so they could sit up. Kagome blushed and quickly pulled the nearest piece of red sheet around herself as she looked at Miroku, Sango and Masahiro. InuYasha blushed and pulled a piece of the yellow sheet up to his waist.

“How the hell did you know to find us back here, Miroku?” said InuYasha angrily.

“Why, we just asked Masahiro and he sent us back here,” Miroku replied, grinning.

“Why you…” said InuYasha, pointing a claw angrily at Masahiro. “I ought to - !”

“InuYasha!” Kagome said, looking at him angrily.

“Well, he shouldn't have done that,” said InuYasha, crossing his arms and subsiding with a pout.

“I did not see the harm in it,” said Masahiro mildly. “They are your friends after all.”

“Kagome, that aura of power around you was simply astounding!” said Miroku enthusiastically.

At the mention of her powers, Kagome stopped blushing and grinned happily.

“Yes, InuYasha and I have got control over it by doing Tantric sex,” said Kagome. “Let me give you a demonstration.”

Kagome extended her arm, and concentrated. A blazing ball of white light formed in her hand, and Miroku and Sango gasped in wonder. Then Kagome concentrated on sending the energy to become a barrier around Miroku.

Nothing happened.

Kagome tried harder, her lips pressed into a tight line and eyes narrowed to slits. Still, the ball of energy sat in her palm.

Lowering her hand in surprise and confusion, Kagome said, “Why isn't it working?”

Kagome turned and raised her hand at InuYasha and the energy immediately leapt out of her hand and created a barrier around him.

“Wow,” said Sango in awe.

“Yes, my words exactly,” said Miroku.

Kagome let the barrier fade, and turned frowning towards Masahiro.

“But why can't I use my powers on Miroku?” said Kagome.

“Hmm…” said Masahiro, putting the palms of his hands together in front of him. “It seems you will only be able to use your powers to help those who have mixed their kundalini with yours, and also their chakras.”

Kagome paled.

“You can't be saying that…” Kagome trailed off in shock.

“Yes, that is exactly what I am saying,” said Masahiro. “If you were to merge your kundalini and align your chakras with Miroku and Sango here, it would also enormously increase your powers.”

Kagome and InuYasha both gasped, their mouths open in surprise.

“Wait a minute,” said Sango suspiciously. “Just what is this mixing of kundalinis and chakras?”

Slowly, Miroku began to smile, and his eyes to twinkle.

Sango noticed Miroku's reaction and thought, `When he smiles like that, it can't be good.'

“I think I know what you're getting at,” said Miroku.

“No way!” InuYasha exploded. “I won't let Kagome do it!”

“You must be part of it too, InuYasha,” said Masahiro.

“What?!” exclaimed InuYasha, blushing furiously and his eyes going wide.

“You are Kagome's catalyst,” said the monk calmly.

“Would somebody please explain to me what this is all about?” said Sango angrily, putting her hands on her hips.

“I believe what monk is saying, my dear Sango, is that all four of use must practice polyamory,” said Miroku.

“Yes, that is correct,” said Masahiro. “You must also do the ritual of chakra puja.”

“Will you two please stop talking in a foreign language and tell me what you are talking about?” said Sango in aggravation.

“Group Tantric sex,” said Miroku.

Sango turned scarlet, her eyes and mouth opening wide in shock and horror.

SLAP!

Miroku winced as a red hand print began to form on his face.

“What?! How dare you!” said Sango. “This all some ploy to get me in bed, Miroku? I'm outta here!”

Sango turned on her heel, her ponytail bouncing, and marched out of the back yard, muttering deprecations about baka, ecchi monks. All four of them watched her leave, nonplussed.

“Masahiro…” said Kagome hesitantly, “are you saying that if we four practiced group Tantric sex, I would be able to use my powers on Miroku and Sango?”

“Yes,” Masahiro replied, “and simultaneously, I don't doubt. And I believe your friend Miroku here has quite a bit of his own spiritual power, that when added to yours, I believe would make you nearly unstoppable.”

InuYasha, Kagome, and Miroku all gasped in surprise.

“Nearly unstoppable…” said Kagome dreamily. She turned to InuYasha. “InuYasha, we have to do it.”

“I agree,” said Miroku.

“You would agree, you lech,” said InuYasha testily.

InuYasha rolled his eyes, and then he put his flaming face in his hands and groaned.

“Unstoppable, huh?” InuYasha said, his voice muffled by his hands.

“Yes,” said Masahiro matter-of-factly.

Inside InuYasha's mind there was a war going on. It was between his unquenchable desire to have as much power as possible to defeat Naraku, and his anger, embarrassment and jealousy in letting Miroku and Sango join them doing Tantric sex. It was almost too much for his usually rather dense hanyou brain to take.

“Okay…” InuYasha finally said. The desire to defeat Naraku had won out.

Kagome smiled and threw her arms around him.

“There's just the matter of Sango,” said Miroku. “Let me handle it. I better go after her before she reaches the forest.”

With that, Miroku ran out of the backyard, hoping Sango had not got very far. As he ran, he wondered what it would take to get Sango to agree to do group Tantric sex with them. What could he say that she would not misconstrue? He had to somehow convince her how important this was for their quest. Would she be able to see past her suspicions of his lecherous ways to the truth - that he really was serious about this? This may be what they needed to finally defeat Naraku. Dearly he hoped he could convince her of his sincerity.

“I somehow don't believe Miroku will have much success alone with Sango,” said Kagome.

“Yeah, your probably right,” said InuYasha, “I think we should follow, and you talk to her Kagome.”

“Good idea,” said Kagome, “Let's get dressed and go.”
