Chapter 33

I Keep Flying for You I'm Falling, I'm Falling

A/N: For those of you read “Can't Get Enough,” there are shades of what happened in the first chapter of that story here - but in reverse - InuYasha gets it!

With a yawn and a stretch, Kagome woke up. It felt so good to be waking up in her own bed. But something was missing. Peeking over the side of the bed, she found what was missing. InuYasha sat sleeping, leaning up against the side of her bed, arms in sleeves and Tessaiga tucked at his side. Kagome sighed and smiled as she watched him sleep, and felt that wonderful warm feeling in her heart as she looked at him. Then suddenly, it dawned on her…

InuYasha was dreaming. The battle raged before him; on one side was him with his group, on the other Naraku, Kagura and Kanna. The loathsome hanyou shot tentacles towards Kagome, and InuYasha sliced them to ribbons with Tessaiga. Then he had to deflect a barrage of attacks from Kagura. He growled, waiting and working towards his chance to use one of Tessaiga's special attacks. Suddenly, Kanna was before him with her mirror.

“InuYasha, look…” she said, and he was unable to look away from the reflection of himself in her mirror.

A tent was forming in his hakama, and he gaped, his eyes going wide as he started to blush furiously. Darting a look, he saw that Kagome was busy shooting arrows at Naraku, and Miroku and Sango were equally as busy. But he was helpless as his arousal built, as if he were deep inside Kagome and her sheath was contracting on him, bringing on waves of ecstasy. He fell to his knees, and Kanna started to uncharacteristically laugh at him, soon joined by Kagura.

“Why aren't you attacking, InuYasha?” said Naraku contemptuously, and turned to see InuYasha panting and gasping on his knees.

“I see something else has you under attack,” said Naraku sarcastically, and started to laugh malevolently.

As InuYasha felt himself coming, the dream fizzled around him and he woke up to see Kagome hiding her mischievous smile behind her hand.

A knock came at the door.

“Kagome, InuYasha, breakfast.” Mrs. Higurashi said from behind the door.

Kagome's eyes went wide and so did InuYasha's, but there was no turning back.

“AHHHHHHH!” InuYasha yelled as he came, a large wet stain forming on his hakama.

“Everything alright?” said Mrs. Higurashi, and cracked the door open, looking inside in concern.

InuYasha blushed furiously and flopped on the floor in mortification, as Kagome paled and jumped up towards the door.

“Yes, everything is fine Mom, we will be right down,” she said quickly, grabbing the door and blocking her mother's view.

Startled, her mother said, “Okay then - be down in five minutes.”

“Sure,” said Kagome, and slammed the door in her face.

Then Kagome staggered back, her hand over her mouth and tripped over InuYasha, who had rolled over onto his back, a blush on his face and his eyes tightly shut.

“What -?” said InuYasha in surprise, opening his eyes as she came crashing down on top of him.

“OOF!” he puffed as her ass landed right in his lap, on top of the wet spot.

“Ouch!” Kagome yelped as her head hit the frame of her bed.

All of a sudden, there was silence, except for the panting of Kagome and InuYasha. They turned and looked at each other, holding each other's gaze a moment, and then both started to grin. Soon, they were both laughing hysterically, and InuYasha pulled her down in an embrace as he lay on the floor.

“Okay, okay…so you got me back,” InuYasha gasped out as he laughed.

“You didn't think I was going to let what you did go unpunished, did you?” Kagome giggled.

“So we're even now, right?” said InuYasha, as his laughter subsided. “Let's go get some breakfast.”

Kagome moved to get off him and they heard a sticky sound. Looking down, they saw that when Kagome had landed on him, she had got herself wet from his soaked hakama, as well as spreading the mess further on his clothes. The wet spot practically covered his groin.

“Uh, maybe you shouldn't go down for breakfast like this,” said Kagome, biting her lip.

“Damn!” said InuYasha angrily. “Now look what a mess we're in! So what are you going to do about it, since you caused this mess!”

“Ummm…” said Kagome, thinking. “I'll be right back!”

Jumping up quickly, she left the room, slamming the door closed behind her.

“Kagome, InuYasha, everyone is at the breakfast table!” Mrs. Higurashi called.

“Coming, Mom!” InuYasha heard Kagome answer.

`What the hell is she doing now?' he wondered, sitting up gingerly.

A moment later Kagome burst in the room and threw a pair of denim jeans and a T-shirt at him. Catching them in surprise, he frowned.

“What are these?” he said, sniffing the clothes lightly.

“They are clothes that belonged to my father that my mother just couldn't part with,” Kagome answered. “Put them on and meet me downstairs.”

“But - .” InuYasha began to say, too late, because she had thrown on her robe and was gone.

With a sigh of disgust, he knew he had no choice but to put them on. So he got undressed and struggled into the unfamiliar clothes.

Everyone turned around at the table as InuYasha entered the room. He stood there self-consciously as everyone stared. The clothes were a little too small, and fit him snuggly.

“What?” InuYasha said irritably.

“Where did you get those clothes?” said Mrs. Higurashi in wonder.

“I borrowed them,” said Kagome. “They were Dad's. I hope you don't mind.”

InuYasha came and sat down next to Kagome, and she gave him a reassuring smile.

“Oh, they are his, aren't they,” Mrs. Higurashi said. “That's fine, dear.”

“Yes, I don't have school today and there are some errands I need to do,” Said Kagome, “and I want to take InuYasha with me.”

This was news to the hanyou and he turned to look at her questioningly.

“Well, in that case, he needs a hat and some shoes,” said Mrs. Higurashi. “I have just the thing.”

While InuYasha and Kagome started to eat, Mrs. Higurashi left the table. She returned a few minutes later with a pair of men's sandals and the black cap InuYasha always wore.

“Here,” she said, handing them to InuYasha. “These should do.”
“Uh, thanks,” he said uncertainly and put them down while he finished his breakfast.

“I just want to take a quick bath,” said Kagome to InuYasha. “Then I will get ready and we can leave.”

InuYasha just grunted, wanting to ask her where they were going, but getting a warning glance from her that she did not want to talk about it. So he shrugged and turned away.

“I'm done Mom,” said Sota. “Can I go watch some TV?”

“Just put your dish in the sink first, dear,” said Mrs. Higurashi.

“Why don't you go and watch TV with him while I take my bath?” said Kagome to InuYasha.

“Whatever,” he replied, and left the table to follow Sota.

After bringing her and InuYasha's dishes and putting them in the sink, Kagome went to take her bath. Sinking gratefully down in the hot water, she sighed with pleasure. Then she thought about where she and InuYasha had to go today. There was something important that she had not gotten to do when she was here last, and she felt an urgency to get it done. There was no more time to waste.

Suddenly, Kagome started to feel queasy. Dizziness came over her, and she quickly lurched over to the toilet and vomited.

`Gee,' Kagome thought, `I must not be used to Mom's cooking any more.'

Then a sense of dread came over her and she paled, sitting with a thump on the floor.

`Uh-oh,' she thought, `I hope I'm not too late…'
