‘Oh my god! I can’t believe I forgot to change this morning!’ She was completely mortified. Here she was, trying to seem like everything was okay, and she was wearing a thin spaghetti-strap top (no bra), and short-shorts. ‘I look like a cheap whore!!’

She ran and hid behind Inuyasha.

“Save me!!” She said it in such a small scared voice, that he couldn’t help but feel sorry for her. He smiled at her and an idea suddenly ran through his mind.

‘She needs saving…From here and herself…I have the perfect plan!’

Without warning, he scooped her up bridal style- earning an ‘eep’ of surprise- and running back out of the school doors and towards his car.

“Inuyasha! What are you doing?”

“Saving you milady!” He smiled goofily at her as he set her in the car and shut her door. “Ready?”

“Ready for- AHHH!!! SLOW DOWN!!” He took off with an alarming speed, nearly running over an old woman on the sidewalk.

“Aww…Little Kagome scared of a little speed?” Smirking he looked at her, taking his eyes off of the road. She looked at him with wide-eyed shock as he took his eyes away from the road.

“No! Look at the damn road!!” He laughed and wrapped his arm around her, allowing her to snuggle up to him (A/N: His car has one big front seat by the way, I never said anything against that did I?).

He began to put on the brakes, being more cautious of his driving.

“By the way…I like how you’re dressed.” She blushed and glared up at him.

“I look like a cheap whore.” She stated bluntly.
“Yeah…” He squeezed her lightly, “But you’re my cheap whore.”

“I never want to hear you say that ever again. I’m scarred for life! I’m in love with a man who likes cheap whores!” She dramatically posed. He laughed and gave her another squeeze.

“No…You just seem…I don’t know…I’ve known you forever and I’ve seen every stupid stage you’ve gone through…You simply wearing your pajamas is the best phase yet.” He ducked his head and laughed as she teasingly hit him.

“Oh thanks Inuyasha! So you- Oh my god! Where are we?” She stared in awe.

“My back yard.”

“Your back yard- What the hell happened to it!?”

“Rin.”

“I love what she did! Wait how did she do it?”

“Sesshomaru.”

“Ooh!” He turned off the engine and helped the girl out of the car.

“It’s so beautiful…” There were roses everywhere. Climbing ones were wrapped around all of the trees, and there were bushes of them galore. In the center of the yard, where it had always been was the tree that held their childhood tree house. Even it was rose covered.

“She going through a phase?”

“God I hope so.” They laughed and took off towards their destination.

“Inuyasha?” She asked looking up at him from her heads spot on his lap. She twirled a lock of his silver tresses to get his attention. He looked at her through half-lidded eyes.

“Hm?”

“Do you think there’s such a thing as fairy tales in real life?” He closed his eyes in thought. After a moments pause he opened his amber orbs and stared into her eyes.

“Do I? I don’t know…I know there are in stories…Why do you ask?” She bit her bottom lip nervously, unsure if she should speak or not.

“Well…My dad told me I would have my ‘happily ever after’. I know its extremely childish of me to hold on to the notion, but I can’t shake the feeling that he was telling the truth…I mean…I don’t know what he was talking about…But he told me to keep the ‘pretty necklace’ safe and never let anyone have it. You know, this one,” She lifted up her jewel she always wore around her neck, “The one Naraku was after. I have a feeling that it has something to do with it.”

He sat there staring at her as he took it all in.

“So…You’re telling me that you think that the jewel has something to do with you getting your fairy tale ending?” She nodded sheepishly.

“I know it’s childish of me…”

“No…I think you might be on to something…I mean, if it is something worth killing you over, then it must be pretty important, right?” She nodded. “Alright then. All we have to do is ask somebody…” He stopped at the pained expression upon her face.

“Everyone we could ask is…dead.” She whispered, not looking at him. He pulled her up and set her on his lap with her back to his chest. He wrapped his arms around her waist and laid his head in the crook of her neck.

“I know…I’m sorry…I’ll be here for you.” She leaned back into him and intertwined their fingers.

“Promise you’ll never leave me?” He kissed the back of her neck and hugged her from behind.

“I promise I’ll never leave you Kagome. I love you too much.”

“I love you too.”

For some reason I can’t upload my chapters on Fan Fiction…So, the chapters are backed up on there and ahead on Media Miner. It’s sad!!
