Chapter 6: Relationship Troubles
Hana’s POV
A week had passed and nothing had changed. Every time we saw Inuyasha and Kikyo together she’d be clinging onto him. What bothered us most was that Inuyasha never bothered to push her away. We were fortunate that Kagome hadn’t seen them but we knew it’d only be a matter of time before she did. Before that could happen we had to find out exactly what was going on between those two.
That morning just as I finished getting ready, I heard Aoi honk the horn. I looked in the mirror one last time and smiled at myself. She would be so surprised. When I got in the car, I smiled at her and said “What’s up girlie!”
“Hey.” She said looking at me. Surprisingly, she didn’t say anything else and started driving. After a few minutes, I said “Hm…don’t you notice anything different about me?” When we got to a red light she looked at me and said “Uh…did you do something different with your hair?”
“No…” she HAD to notice. It was so obvious. Then I realized, she had to be messing with me.
“Don’t tell me, don’t tell me,” she said frantically waving her hands, “You got your eyebrows done?”
I sighed. “No. What do you SEE?” I pointed at my eyes for emphasis.
She kept looking at me with a pondering look on her face until the light turned green and she put her eyes back on the road. “I dunno. You look the same.”
“Aoi!” I said getting fed up.
She started laughing and said “I’m just messing with you!” Like I thought. “I see you finally got your contacts!”
“Yep! And you know what that means…”
“We get to confuse people with our twin look?” Aoi said deviously.
“Exactly.”
When we got to school, we were good and ready to do our twin thing. While walking to our lockers, we were suddenly stopped by a girl who stepped in front of us. Judging by her ears and hair we could tell she was a youkai. “Um can we help you?” I asked.
“Probably not, But I can help you. I heard you’ve been seeking some info on Kikyo and Inuyasha.” She said taking off her black shades revealing a pair of greenish eyes.
“Yeah we have. But how do you know that?” Aoi asked.
“You can say it’s my…job to know. Anyway what’s with all the questions?” she asked sorta feisty, “Do you want the info or not?”
Aoi and I looked at each other and then nodded at her.
“Alright then I’ll tell you everything I know…for a price.”
I had a feeling there’d be a catch. I heard Aoi thinking.
Yeah…but it’s for Kagome so let’s just pay this chick.
Alright but when this is all ever…that girl owes us.
Yeah, big time.
“How much?” Aoi and I asked at the same time.
“250 yen from both of you.” She said holding out her hand which strangely reminded me of the Gross sisters from the Proud Family.
After we gave her the money, she looked around and then pulled us into the janitor’s closet. Surprisingly, it was a pretty decent size so we weren’t squished or anything.
“Alright so what’s the 411?” Aoi asked.
“Well it seems that since middle school dog boy has had a crush on that thing.”
“Wait a minute. We could care less about what you call Kikyo but Inuyasha is our friend so…yeah.” I said. Since Kagome and Inuyasha’s little pact, Inuyasha had starting hanging out with us (whenever he wasn’t with her). He turned out to be a pretty cool after all.
“Alright I get the point.” The girl said uncaringly.
“But wait, I thought Inuyasha liked Kagome.” I said.
“He does but it seems he likes Kikyo too.” The girl interjected.
Aoi slapped her forehead and said “Oh great just when we thought things were going to be easy. Now we have a complicated love triangle to deal with.”
“Just continue…” I said.
“Well I’m pretty sure you two remember when you first saw them together...”
“Yeah, that was a week ago. You were around too?” I asked.
“Yep, and I just so happened to catch everything that happened between them that day.”
So…this is the jest of what happened:
As it turned out, Inuyasha and Kikyo had the same third period. After lunch, during class, Kikyo sent him a note telling him to meet her after school. So when he did Kikyo was leaning against her car. And according to our little private investigator, this is how their conversation went.
Inuyasha walked up to her, “Kikyo…I didn’t know you went here.”
“Yeah I just started going here. I see you’re surprised to see me.”
“Yeah well…I haven’t seen you since middle school. How’ve you been?”
“Oh fine I guess.” Kikyo said with fake sadness in her voice. “I was happy at first because I’d get to go to the same school as my cousin again but it seems Kagome isn’t happy about it at all.”
“Oh…well…I’m happy that you’re here. I mean, it’s nice seeing you.” Inuyasha said with a slight blush.
It was quick, but the girl didn’t miss when Kikyo grinned. This immediately let me and Aoi know that she was indeed up to something.
“And it’s nice seeing you.” She said scooting close to him.
"Oh...So...what did you want to meet me for?" he asked.
“Well...I’m not going to lie. I’ve always had feelings for you…and I know you’ve had feelings for me.”
That was very straightforward. I thought.
“Wha-? How did you know?”
“I could just tell. So let’s not beat around the bush, shall we?” By now the two were only two inches apart.
Inuyasha looked away and said “I dunno…”
Kikyo frowned and said “What? Don’t tell me you still have feelings for her.”
“Who-?”
“Don’t ‘who’ me! I know you’ve had feelings for Kagome as well.”
Inuyasha was quiet. Kikyo put her hand on his face and said “Oh Inuyasha…I hate to break it to you but Kagome doesn’t feel that way about you.”
“W-what?”
“She told me herself. She said that there’s just no way she could ever date a half-demon.”
“She…said that?” Inuyasha said surprised, and somewhat upset.
“Yeah…it seems she can’t accept you for who you are.”
“Hold up!” I said interrupting the story. “I know that’s a lie!”
“Yeah there’s no way she could have said that!” Aoi said, agreeing.
“Would you two let me finish?” the girl asked, irritated.
“Sorry…” we said together.
“Anyway...like I was saying…” the girl continued.
“Oh…” Inuyasha said looking away. “I don’t know why I thought otherwise.”
“But don’t worry about her. I love you for who you are.” She said wrapping her arms around his neck. “And I’ll never leave you…”
“And that’s it.”
“That’s it? We paid 500 yen for that?” Aoi said.
“Hey it helped you out didn't it? Now if you'll excuse me..." the girl said putting her shades back on. "I have to go."
She then walked out of the closet leaving the door open. "Man...This blows." Aoi said with a sigh.
"Yeah...seriously, so...going off of what that girl said..."
"Those two unfortunately go together." Aoi said finishing my statement. She then screamed into my shoulder out of frustration.
"And it’s all because Inuyasha thinks Kagome doesn't like him...at least not in that way."
Before we could say anything else the janitor came to the closet and, "Hey! You girls need to find another secret hiding place."
We quickly ran out and said "Sorry!" simultaneously.
Aoi's POV
When we were a good distance away from the disgruntled janitor we slowed down to a walking pace.
"So...do you think we should tell Sango and Miroku?" Hana asked.
"Yeah, they really need to know. We'll need all the help we can get to set this mess straight." I said banging my fist into the palm of my hand dramatically.
Suddenly, just as we turned the corner we heard the fire alarm go off. We thought it was a fire drill at first but when we looked up ahead we saw a very angry looking Sango with her fist slammed against the alarm with her knuckles bleeding from the broken glass. We then saw a confused looking Miroku with his arms wrapped around some girl's waist. When we ran up to her we could see that she was looking at Miroku with anger and sadness in her eyes. We were surprised when she started singing.
(AN: Yay! The first song!)
(2AN: Hurrah!)
Ring the alarm I been through this too long But I'll be damned if I see another chick on your arm
Won't you ring the alarm I been through this too long But I'll be damned if I see another chick on your arm
Kagome suddenly ran up to us and said "Guys! What's going on?" "Sango caught Miroku again...but she's really pissed now." I said. "Oh no...causing a false alarm, she’ll be in big trouble for sure." Kagome said.
She gon' be rockin' chinchilla coats If I let you go
Get in the house off the coast If I let you go
She gon' take everything I own If I let you go I can't let you go, damn if I let you go
She gon' rock them VVS stones If I let you go
Get in the 'Bach or the Rolls If I let you go
She gon' profit everything I taught If I let you go I can't let you go, damn if I let you go
"Wait. What's all this stuff she's talking about?" Hana asked. "Oh I guess I forgot to mention, Miroku's dad owns one of the most popular nightclubs in Tokyo. So basically Miroku’s kinda rich and he spoils Sango." Kagome explained.
A nightclub...why am I not surprised? I thought. I guess Miroku be ‘stuntin’ like his daddy’.
I am soooo mad you said that, though. I thought.
"Oh...well dang! Are we the only middle class people in the group?" I asked out loud. Kagome sighed and said "Pretty much..."
Tell me how should I feel, when I know what I know, and my female intuition tellin’ me you a dog
People told me 'bout the flames I couldn't see through the smoke, when I need answers, accusations what you mean you gon choke
Oh You can't stay, you gotta go Ain't no other chick spendin' your dough
This is taking a toll, the way the story unfolds Not the picture perfect movie everyone would've saw
"Is Sango some kind of a gold digger because she keeps talking about all this stuff..." Hana said.
"Well it’s not just that. Believe it or not Miroku is a lot better then he used to be and that's all thanks to Sango. So if he goes with someone else all her hard work will be for nothing.” Kagome said.
“I see...” I said still listening with interest to Sango’s show stopping performance…
She gon' be rockin' chinchilla coats
If I let you go
Get in the house off the coast
If I let you go
She gon' take everything I own
If I let you go
I can't let you go, damn if I let you go
She gon' rock them VVS stones
If I let you go
Get in the 'Bach or the Rolls
If I let you go
She gon' profit everything I taught
If I let you go
I can't let you go, damn if I let you go
By now the girl that Miroku was with had run away. Bystanders in the hallway were either unnecessarily panicking or acting like nothing was going on. Meanwhile, Hana, Kagome, and I could only watch as our friend sung her heart out.
Ring the alarm
I been through this too long
But I'll be damned if I see another chick on your arm
Won't you ring the alarm
I been through this too long
But I'll be damned if I see another chick on your arm
Tell me how should I feel
When you made me belong
And the thought of you just touchin' her
Is what I hate most?
I don't want you, but I want it
And I can't let it go
To know you give it to her like you gave it to me, come on
Ooh
I admit, I couldn’t help but wonder what was running through Miroku’s mind at that time. But judging by the look on his face I could tell he knew he was wrong.
He's so arrogant and bold (Oh)
But she gon' love that shit, I know
I done put in a call, time to ring the alarm
'Cause you ain't never seen a fire like the one I'ma cause...
Suddenly, tears began to flow from Sango’s eyes. That was the first time Hana and I had ever seen her cry.
Ooh
How can you look at me?
And not see all the things
That I kept only just for you
Ooh
Why would you risk it babe
Is that the price that I pay?
Ooh
But this is my show, and I won't let you go
All it's been paid for, and it's mine
How could you look at me?
And not see all the things…
Just as Sango finished singing an administrator finally came and shut off the alarm. She looked around and said “Who set off the alarm?”
“It was me.” Sango said, still with tears in her eyes but no remorse in her voice.
She signaled Sango over with her fingers, “Come with me Kuwashima,”
Sango walked over to her and took one long last look at Miroku. As they walked away Hana began to follow them.
Where are you going? I asked her.
I’m going to try to see if I can get her out of trouble. You can go ahead to class. She said slightly looking back at me and discreetly waving me away.
I nodded, Okay.
When they were out of sight I looked at Miroku, who had his head down shamefully.
“What have I done?” he murmured.
“A lot obviously,” I said with a little too much anger in my voice then I meant to let on, “You of all people should know to never break a woman’s heart. Sorry to say it but you brought this on yourself, Miroku.”
I then walked away, leaving him to think about what he’d done. Now don’t get me wrong, he was my friend, but after hurting Sango to that extent I just couldn’t forgive him at the moment. I guess Kagome felt the same way too because she shortly followed after me.
Hana’s POV
When we got to the office I wasn’t surprised to see Sesshomaru in there along with the principal. As we were walking in, the administrator, Ms. Yazu, had informed them on her walkie talkie who was arriving. Just as the principal told Sango to sit down, he finally noticed I was there.
“May I help you Miyashita?” he asked with a smile.
“Well not really. I’m actually here on Sango’s behalf.” I said
Suddenly getting more serious he said, “I’m sure she can explain herself.”
“But it’s really not what you think! Sango was having a really rough morning and…” I couldn’t tell them that seeing her boyfriend with another girl ticked her off. I had to lie. “A girl started messing with her. So Sango got upset and instead of assaulting the girl, which really would’ve been the wrong thing to do, she accidentally hit the alarm.”
“I can understand having a bad day.” Sesshomaru said interjecting. “But Sango has been warned several times about letting her anger get out of hand.”
“Yes…and this time I’m afraid we can’t let her off the hook. False alarms equal immediate suspension.” Ms. Yazu said.
I looked down, trying to figure out what to do. I can’t just do nothing and let Sango get suspended, she’s my friend and I need to help her. I thought. “Please…” I said walking up to Sesshomaru. “I’ll do anything. Just let her off hook just once more, Please.”
“Don’t worry about it,” Sango said putting her hand on my shoulder, “This is my own fault.” I appreciated her accepting responsibility but I ignored her.
I couldn’t believe that I was practically begging my crush to do me a favor but I felt I had no choice. I always believed in doing everything I could for my friends. Sesshomaru thought for a moment and said “Anything you say?”
“Yes.”
“So…you’d even take her place and be suspended yourself?”
I thought for moment. It’d suck to have that on my record but like I said, I was just too loyal for my own good. “I’ll do it…” I said.
“What!? Don’t do that!” Sango argued, but once again I ignored her.
Ms. Yazu gasped and said “Wait a minute. She can’t do that…can she?” She looked at the principal, waiting for an answer. He just shrugged and said “I really don’t know. There’s nothing in the rules that says she can’t. The decision rests with the student president.”
Sesshomaru looked at me and I waited patiently for my judgment. He then sighed and said, “I really don’t get you…”
I looked up at him wondering what he meant. He ran his fingers through his hair causing me to slightly blush.
I wonder if he can do anything and not look effing sexy…
“Alright, I’ll let her off the hook one last time. But if you don’t keep your friend in check I can’t promise that it’ll happen again.”
I smiled and said “I’ll do my best!”
He was about to leave, but turned back and said, “Sango will have to do in-school suspension which of course won’t carry as much weight as an actual suspension. Oh…and just so you know…you still owe me…” He briefly smiled at me and then walked out of the office. Even when Sango strongly embraced me and said “You didn’t have to do it, but thanks!’ all I could really focus on was my heart’s unsteady pace and my flushed cheeks. What exactly would I owe him?
Later on in second period…
Aoi’s POVI admit, I had been worried about how things would go with Sango. When the two got to class I was relieved. Also during class Hana mentally explained to me what happened. Even while sitting in the back I could still see Hana blushing when she mentioned Sesshomaru smiling at her.
Ohh…someone owes Sesshy a kissey! I said jokingly.
Oh be quiet. She only blushed harder when I said that.
During Algebra 2, I was fully focused on doing my work. Then, I just so happened to look next to me and I saw a very frustrated looking Bankotsu looking down at his work. “Having a hard time?” I asked.
“Huh? Oh yeah I am. Algebra sucks.”
“I couldn’t agree more.” Thinking for a moment, I realized that I actually understood what we were doing that day, and I got an idea…
“Do you need help?” I asked even though it was quite obvious that he did.
“Yes! Please!” He said a bit loud. The teacher shushed him and went back to what he was doing.
(AN: Oh no! It’s not our point of view anymore! At least…for now…)
Bankotsu’s POV
While Aoi explained the work to me, I couldn’t help but just stare at her. When she noticed I wasn’t saying anything she would look at me and say “Are you paying attention?”
I quickly nodded and said “Yeah. Go on.”
But as she continued writing I was once again mesmerized by her beauty. I’m not sure what it was, I couldn’t explain it. Ever since I first saw her I knew that she was different from any other pretty high school chick I’d ever seen. She was smart, funny and sarcastic. I loved her sparkling blue eyes…her brilliant smile…Whoa what a minute…Was I saying ‘loved’? And I thought that wasn’t in my vocabulary…When Aoi looked at me again she asked if I was paying attention. This time I shook my head and said “Not really. It’s kinda hard to pay attention when I’ve got such a beautiful girl sitting right in front of me.”
She suddenly blushed and I smiled even more. Yeah…I loved her blush too…
Aoi’s POV
“What’s up with you, Aoi? You look like you just won a million yen!” Hana said to me when I found her after class. I guess I would ask my friend (or sister in this case) what was up with them too if they were walking around the school grinning like an idiot. But I just couldn’t help it!
He called me beautiful! Not just pretty, he said I was beautiful! I thought, ah, life is grand…
For a moment, Hana looked like she had absolutely no idea what I was talking about. When she finally took in everything I said her face lit up, For real? He really said that?
Yeah!
At that moment we both started grinning like idiots.
“You’re so lucky; I wish You-Know-Who would call me beautiful.” Hana said. I’m assuming she said this out loud because she thought it would be weird for other people to see the two of us simply making facial gestures at each other. I’m also assuming she said ‘You-Know-Who’ instead of ‘Sesshomaru’ (ha, I rhymed) because of possible lurking ASF members of death.
“Ah, don’t fret mi hermana,” I comforted my sister in Spanish, “he’ll come around eventually. Besides, what about that favor?”
I eyed Hana intently until she answered, “Yeah, I guess you do have a point. I wonder what exactly he had in mind when he said that…if he had anything at all…”
Mm, you know what all guys want Hana… I told her telepathically.
Shut up! She said hitting me on the shoulder. “Anyway, you ready to confuse our buddies into a state of frustration?” Hana said out loud this time.
“Heck yes.” I said in a funny monotone. And we skipped merrily onto lunch
Hana’s POV
“Hi Everybody!” Aoi and I said at the same time. Sango, Kagome, and Miroku all turned around at once to look at us. They looked so amazed it was hilarious.
“I don’t know how I didn’t notice it before, but Hana got contacts! It looks hot!” Sango complimented. I felt bad because I could tell that she was trying hard not to show any emotion. I couldn’t blame her for still being upset either. Not after all that had happened.
“Thanks Sango!” We said at the same time. This freaky-twin-thing was so fun.
“But wait, which one of you is Hana?” Kagome asked.
“I am.” We both said simultaneously.
“You two can’t keep this up forever you know.” Miroku said in a totally un-Miroku way. It was plain to see that he was still shaken up from this morning’s shenanigan as well.
Seeing everyone in this sour mood totally dampened our spirits so Aoi and I quit the freaky-twin-thing and came clean about our identities. “That’s Aoi, I’m Hana.”
“Ooooh.” Kagome said like she had just understood a joke that was said five minutes ago.
The rest of that lunch period was filled with uber-deadly awkward silences and the Jerry Springer-bound couple avoiding eye contact as much as possible. As much as I hate to say it, I was ecstatic when it was over.
Aoi’s POV
After school as Hana and I were headed towards our lockers, I started developing an awful headache. I told Hana that I would drop her off at work and then I’d just go home because I didn’t feel well enough to go.
“No, you go straight home! I’ll walk there. My uniform and everything is already at the shop so I have no reason to go home.”
“Are you sure?” I said pleading, trying not to be a burden.
“Yes, go home!” Hana insisted.
I gave my sister a big hug, making her almost fall over as she was trying to change her shoes while standing up. She regained her balance and put on her shoes.
“I’ll take that as a ‘thank you’, don’t mention it.”
I waved at her as she walked out of the main gate and out of sight.
I got myself together and I was about to leave when I saw Kagome walking by herself, she looked like she was about to leave too.
“Kagome-chan!” I called after her. She turned around, “Hey-um, which one are you again?”
I laughed, “Aoi.”
“Oh yeah, Hi Aoi! I was just about to leave.” Suddenly she got a somber look in her eyes as she looked down at the grass. I had a feeling that she had more on her mind. “Alright, spill it, what’s up?” I asked.
Kagome needed no egging on, she spilled her little heart out, “I’ve decided to tell Inuyasha how I really feel about him but I’m just so nervous! What if he doesn’t return my love?”
Oh my gosh, I knew this would come. What should I tell her?
“You know what? I’m going to end this misery I’m putting myself through. I’m going to find Inuyasha right now and tell him everything!” Kagome was about to march away but I grabbed her sleeve and yanked her back over to my side.
“Kagome, why don’t you wait a little bit longer? Really that’ll be so much easier!” I was so nervous at that point I didn’t know what to do with myself.
Kagome brushed my hand away, “No Aoi, I’ve made up my mind!” This time she ran away from me.
“Kagome!”
I saw her slow down until she finally stopped. I knew what she saw, the exact thing I did not want her to see. I failed.
Sure enough Kikyo and Inuyasha were hangin’ out against a back wall. Inuyasha had his arms around Kikyo’s waist and Kikyo had her arms around Inuyasha. She was saying something to him, but their faces were unnecessarily two inches apart.
And then it happened, dare I say it? They kissed.
Kagome stayed in that very spot for a while, not like either of the two ‘lovers’ noticed. When she just couldn’t take it anymore, Kagome ran away with tears pouring out of her eyes like she had broken tear ducts.
“Kagome…” I tried to talk to her but she brushed right past me as fast as she could.
My headache started getting worse with all that was going on.
“This is just a mess, Hana what’ll we do?”
Hana’s POV
After I walked for a couple of miles, I saw the park across the street from Kiyoko’s Sweet Shop.
Finally, I’m here! Instead of taking my time to walk around the park to get to the shop I just decided to walk through it. I’d never been in the park before so I never got to fully appreciate the beauty of it. The setting sun breaking through the leaves of the trees, the cute little squirrels and blue birds, the flowers, everything about it was so picturesque. Including the person who I saw six feet in front of me. Sesshomaru was in the park again today, once again he had the little girl from before by his side. She turned back and saw me looking at them. I waved at her, she smiled at me and waved back. When Sesshomaru turned around to see who she was waving to, his eyes widened in surprise.
“Aoi?” He said, unaware of whom I actually was.
“No, Hana. Hello Sesshomaru-sempai!” I said in my most pleasant voice.
“What are you doing here?” he asked. He was starting to look nervous.
“Going to work.” I said moving closer to him. I saw the little girl clinging onto his pant leg and decided to talk to her, “Hey cutie! What’s your name?”
“My name’s Rin. Are you Sesshomaru-sama’s friend?” she asked looking at me with chocolate brown eyes in just about the cutest voice I’d ever heard.
“I guess you could say that. How old are you, Rin?”
“I’m seven.” She said stroking her little side ponytail. She turned away from me and started talking to Sesshomaru, “Can I play over there?” she pointed to some monkey bars a couple of feet away.
“Sure,” he said, “Just be careful.”
“Okay!” Rin was about to run off and play, but before that she turned to me and said, “Bye, lady!” and she ran away.
Now it was just me and Sesshomaru. “She is so cute! But-why were you trying to be so discreet about her?”
Sesshomaru looked as if he really didn’t want to explain anything to me.
“You don’t have to tell me anything if you don’t want to…”
“No I might as well tell you now, why don’t we sit down?” he said extending his hand to a bench right across from us.
“Sure.” I said.
We sat down and he explained his situation to me. Rin was a foster child who lived in a home with ten other children. Since she did not get proper care at the home, Rin would leave a lot and spend most of her time in the park, which is where she and Sesshomaru first met. Sesshomaru grew a liking to her and started taking care of her on the side.
“I don’t want anyone to know about Rin. They might try to use her against me in some way; I would never want that to happen.” He explained.
“I see,” I said taking all of this into consideration. “That’s why you didn’t want to tell me about her before…”
“Yeah. With all that being said, you remember that favor you owe me?”
“Yeah, why?”
He looked at me, his golden eyes shimmering in the light. “Promise me you won’t tell anyone about Rin, anyone, not even your sister.”
“Not even my sister?” I said confused.
“No one else needs to know, please?” He looked so eager I had no choice but to say yes.
“Thank you.” He loosened up finally which made me feel a lot better.
“So,” he said, “can we seal the deal?”
Seal the deal? “What do you mean?” I asked.
He looked at me and smiled, “Can we seal the deal with a kiss?”
AAAHHHHH!!!!!!!! I had so many thoughts running through my mind at the moment I can’t tell you all of them. I do remember saying, “Sure, I guess…” And I also remember those seven seconds of pure bliss when our lips met and I felt like I was in heaven. I wished it had lasted longer, but Sesshomaru’s protégé came back to check on us.
“Sesshomaru-sama, can we go now?” Rin pleaded.
“S-Sure Rin, one second…” Sesshomaru and I got up and looked at each other for a moment.
“Well Hana, I guess I’ll see you later.” He said.
“Yeah, see you later.” I said, what else could I have possibly said after a moment like that?
As I watched Sesshomaru and Rin walk away, there was only one thing going through my mind…
YEEESSSS!!!!!!!!!
Later on that evening
Since I still didn’t have a ride, I had to walk home. I hated walking by myself at night, but I didn’t live in a bad neighborhood so I figured I’d be okay. How wrong was I? Well let me tell you.
I was walking past the school, which I had to pass to get home when all of a sudden out of the alleyway pops five people dressed in black. They all grabbed me by my arms and dragged me into the darkness. I’m sitting there wondering what’s going to happen to me, afraid to say anything, when I see the ‘leader’ of this little posse walk around the corner. It was Sayo.
“Hey.” She said as if she didn’t have five girls constricting my movement.
“What do you want, Sayo?!” I asked.
She smirked at me, “You need to be more careful of your actions little miss. One of our members saw you getting a little bit too cozy with Sesshomaru, I didn’t quite like that. So I had her follow you until we could all meet up at one place.”
I was so…so…I don’t even know the word, “You bitches are something else! Sesshomaru doesn’t like any of you, but he likes me and you all have a problem with it!”
Sayo glared at me, “Exactly, hey Mayu! Bring the stuff!”
Another girl came out of practically nowhere with a giant jar of…gasoline?
Oh no…!
“This’ll teach you to mess with us, Miyashita!”
The girl named Mayu dumped the whole jar of gasoline all over me. Sayo pulled a pink lighter out of her pants pocket.
“Sayonara…”
She was just about to drop the lighter on me and watch the fireworks when at that very moment, I realized that there was a god who loved me somewhere.
“What do you think you’re doin’?” Inuyasha came from around the wall and knocked the lighter out of Sayo’s hand. “Get outta here!” He yelled. All the girls including Sayo scattered.
“Are you okay?” Inuyasha asked kneeling down to help me up.
I most certainly wasn’t okay. I almost died because of those crazy stalkers.
“Oh my gosh,” was all I could say as Inuyasha walked me home.
