Chapter 1

 

“Watch out Kagome!” yelled InuYasha, and shoved her out the way. Kagome wasn't all that bothered. It was just a basic youkai after all. Nothing special. Except he'd shoved her pretty hard.

 

Suddenly she heard a thumping in her ears, and she fell to the ground, clutching her head and screaming. An unbelievable sense of pain and darkness flooded her mind, and then left as soon as it came.

 

“Kagome!” shouted Sango. The demon exterminator rushed over to the girl who she thought of as sister and helped her up from the ground.

 

“I'm fine, I'm fine…” muttered Kagome as she swatted away Sango and tried to stand firmly. Her knees were a bit shaky, but she pulled herself together and rushed over to where she had dropped her bow and arrows. Notching a purified arrow into the bow, she took aim and fired. It missed by several feet. “Fuck, Kagome! Watch out!” yelled InuYasha. She tried again, and all her practice paid off. She hit him straight where his heart should have been. He was instantly destroyed, and InuYasha went in to collect the jewel shards.

 

“What happened?” Shippou asked when they returned to the camp. He had been sent to hide behind the trees whilst they fought, so he had missed most of the action.

 

“We fought, we killed.” Kagome answered. “Now will everyone stop worrying! Really, it was just a headache.” Everyone almost simultaneously cocked a brow, making her giggle. “Okay, night everybody.” She unrolled her sleeping bag, then curled up and closed her eyes.

 

“Who are you?” Kagome asked, walking slowly towards the blurry figure.

“I am you .Who you were. Who you are. Who you will become. Your essence.” The figure replied. Then it sang. It's voice was cruel yet kind, soothing yet painful. Good. Yet evil.

 

“If you are near to the dark,

I will tell you 'bout the sun.

You are here, no escape,

From my visions of the world.

You will cry all alone,

But it does not mean a thing to me…”

 

“Knowing the song I will sing,

Till the darkness comes to sleep.

Come to me, I will tell,

Of the secret of the sun,

It's in you, not in me,

But it does not mean a thing to you…”

 

“Wake up wench!” growled InuYasha, shaking her.

 

“Huh…what happened?” Kagome murmured, sitting up. Shaking her head, she sat up straight. She was outside. There was a fire. InuYasha. The figure. All the thoughts ran through her head, making her dizzy.

 

“You were sweating, shouting, tossing, turning…” InuYasha said.

“Alright, alright, I get the point!”

“But are you sure you're alright? I…I…”

“You?”

“I didn't want to loose you.” He finished.

 

 

Well, It's pretty short, but it's finally done! There will be lemon in future chapters, so I'll post a clean version on ff.net. Please R&R
