The hut is being built and Inuko has been extremely sick. What will happen when the group realizes it something more than a stomach flu? That its a full blown pup on its way? Will Inuyasha & Inuko come out and tell the others what happen or will fate hold it against them?

It was to be the start of the huts, but a certain person wasn't there. “Inuko, are you okay?” She'd been puking for a while now; about 13 minutes. Sango sighs as she sees Inuko give her a thumb up then continue throwing up the remains of her breakfast. “I- is she okay?” It seems as if the sound of what was going on had been attracting a crowd. Sango turns to see a little boy about 5 looking at Inuko in worried glances.

“She'll be okay, but I want you to go ask Inuyasha to come here for me.” The boy nods and takes off torwards the well in order to get the information to Inuyasha. As Sango turns back to Inuko she shakes her head at the girl. “You need to get better quickly or I don't think you're gonna make it…” Inuko looks up at Sango weakly and lifts her arms to show she needs help up. “Well, lets get you some water.”

At the Building Site

“Put that over there. Yeah right there!” For the millionth time Inuyasha sighs realizing that the hut wasn't going to be finished by winter. “Inuyasha! Inuyasha! Lady Sango requests your presence to help with Inuko. She seems very sick; seconds ago she rid herself of her entire breakfast.” That got Inuyasha's attention, and he instantly took off in the direction of Sango's and Inuko's scents.

With Sango and Inuko

“Here ye go get some water into your system.” As Inuko starts to get a drink… “Is she okay?!” Spooking Inuko she drops the cup onto her lap. “I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you…” Inuko looks up and glares at him and throws the cup in order to try to hit him with it but to no avail. “I said I was sorry! What do I have to do to make you happy?” At this Inuko lets out a small whine. “No, you're not going to the building site. It's too dangerous!” A sharp bark following a low threatening growl causes Inuyasha to give up. “Fine, you win but it's not my fault if you get hurt. Now get on.” This shocked the old woman and Sango very much but it didn't show their faces as much as it did when Inuyasha took off to the site.

At the Site

“Here we are.” As Inuko get off she gives of a sharp bark and a whine. “What do you mean their almost done? That's impossible!” At this Inuko grabs his face and abruptly turns him to face to now completed hut that - by the way- a very smug looking Sesshoumaru in front of it. “What is going on here?!” As Sesshoumaru stands Inuyasha looks as if he was ready to throw a punch his half-brothers way. “What am I doing here? Simply acting out what kagome asked me to do. Help you with you and your lovely mates hut.” At this Inuyasha just stops right in front of his brother with a look of shock playing over his features. “How did you know? We made sure no one would be able to smell it.” The smug look on Sesshoumaru's face became smugger. “I didn't have to smell it all I had to do is wait and see.” He says this as he walks over to Inuko and brushes her hair away from her neck. At this she lets out a small whine and turns and runs to the bushes and once again begins to throw up. “And it seems, brother, you've pupped her as well.” As his brother walks away Inuyasha gaps at him then quickly runs to his mates side to soothe her.

Sometime Later

“So you're staying here with Inuyasha?” Inuko nods once again; it seemed to her that she had been nodding a lot lately. “Oh yeah there was something else I wanted you to answer, Inuko. Um, can you come outside with me?” Once again Inuko nods helpless to answer more than that. Outside Inuko starts looking extremely nervous. “Why are you so nervous? I'm only going to ask you something.” Inuko nods and asks, “Well, what is it? Get out with it.” She watches as Kagome sighs and pulls something out of her pocket. “What's that?” Kagome holds the thing up. “This is a pregnancy test. It can tell if you're pregnant or not all you have to do is go *cough* pee *cough* on this part… And well the question is if you'd use it so we can clarify something.” Inuko nods showing she understands. “Yeah I'll do it. I don't see any point in it though.”

5 minutes later

Inuko is staring at the thing like it was Kikyo was rising out of her grave. “It's not possible. Only one time can't do this. No, it can't be!” As if on cue Inuyasha runs out to comfort her. “Shh, calm down. You can get through this.” Inuko turns to him. “No I can't! This is a pup Inuyasha! Not something I can handle! A demon I can handle, a corpse coming back to life and vowing to kill me I can handle, but a pup I'm not ready for! I simply can't handle it!” Around them the villagers are wondering why it was Inuyasha consoling the pupped bitch. “Inuyasha, Inuko can you come inside with us?” Listening to Kagome, Inuyasha picks up the sobbing Inuko and walk inside. As soon as he sits down the question he'd been dreading came from Kagome's lips. “Is it yours Inuyasha?” Giving up he nods. “Why didn't you tell us?” Inuko lets out a pitiful whine. “It was only my decision…” All the others nod. “Can I go to bed?” Everyone looks torwards Inuko. “We all should be getting to bed. Inuyasha, ye and Inuko go to ye own hut to sleep tonight.” Inuyasha nods and leaves with Inuko in his arms feeling more than ready to sleep that night.
