*In the Hot Springs*

Rin had found Kagome wondering around the entrance to the hot springs. "I wondered when you would be able to get out here. It took him that long to cool off? Oh yeah, thanks about the barrier thing earlier."

"It was nothing, I finally got control of the light stone by doing that. So I guess I should be thanking you. Oh, Inu Yasha had to take a couple of shots before I could come and get you." They both laughed. "Hey Kagome you want to go take a bath in the hot springs?"

"Sure, but we have to go get our stuff from the basement…"

"No need, we brought it with us," Ayame said after rounding the corner followed by Kirara and Sango.

So the girls walked into the bathing room, took off their clothes and they got in. Rin was splashing near a rock with little tiny water fairies dancing around her. Sango was laughing at Kirara who was trying to catch one of the little things and doing very bad. Kagome had poured a bucket of water on Ayame's head and was trying to escape her wrath.

Ayame stopped trying to catch Kagome for a minute and starred at Rin. The small water fairies were now fixing her hair into to two buns on the side of her head. They had placed small shells and flower blossoms in her hair.

"Rin how is it that fairies seem to flock to you in herds? And they give you stuff, do your hair and all you do is kid around? It's like having a spa at your whim." Ayame said she wanted her own magical service team too.

"I don't know. It might be because I am one of them, at least a part. My mom told me something about it when I was little, but I didn't understand. So I forgot it. But you can borrow them." Rin said something that sounded like tiny bells ringing. A very small fairy did the bell talking back. Rin pointed at Ayame, Kirara, Sango and Kagome and they took off. In about five minutes all the girls were getting manicures, pedicures and their hair done.

"Well…" Rin started. "The thing about water fairies is that they are very girly. It is probably because they hang around mermaids so much. And they love to make people look and feel good."

"And it is working very well," Sango said as the fairies brushed her hair and washed it out.

"My grandfather told me that they are the kindest of the fairies and are like miniature beauticians…" Kagome said as a few of the water fairies put her hair up with a sea comb.

"That is true, I've meet all the types of fairies, with the exception of dark, and they are the nicest kind. They were first used as slaves to the mermaids but gained their freedom. It's amazing that they still hang around them so much." Rin said as one of the smaller fairies started to do her nails with urchin dye.

"Yeah you are right…" Ayame said as her toes started to dry. "I had the pleasure of crossing paths with a air fairy. Rude little thing, saved her life and she tried to send a tornado after me…"

"That's nothing compared to the fire ones," Kirara retorted. "I thought they were fire flies and caught one in a jar and was about to let it go. The evil little thing called the whole slue of them after me. My new kimono even caught fire along with a small part of the forest I was in."

They talked about everything and nothing at all for about an hour and decided to leave. They changed into their pajamas and got ready to go. Rin told the fairies thank you and they were about to go when the fairy Rin had spoken to earlier pulled on her finger. Everyone stopped and looked, Rin and the little fairy had a conversation of bells. The little blue light went behind Rin and pushed the purple crescent moon on her back. Rin laughed and in a flash of dancing rainbows her wings appeared.

"Rin where are you going?" Sango asked looking at Rin who was hovering a little over the ground.

"Mizuru wants to show me something…" Rin said. After more bell talking Rin spoke again, "She said it won't take more than fifteen minutes. I'll be back and meet you guys in the basement."

"Okay Rin, Just hurry up. The Grande Finale is coming up." Kagome said with a wide grin and turned around. And the rest of the girls walked into the house waving at Rin and disappearing into the front door.

Rin followed Mizuru to a small waterfall. Rin sat on a tree branch over looking the falls. Their conversation went something like this:

M: My lady you have chosen to stay in your true form?

R: Yes, but please just call me Rin. We are blood and I still have not taken my post as Empress of the Southern Lands and no one is around any way Mizu-chan.

M: But Rin, so many dangers will come to seek you out now. It is one thing when your powers flash but they will be shown for days on end. Do you not think it dangerous? If Naraku finds out…

R: Let him find me…I can fight. He is looking for the heirs to the Mystical Thrones of Japan correct…

M: Yes, but…

R: Mizuru, you must understand. My seal isn't working as long as it should anymore. Who knows, I could be in the middle of a class and it could break for no real reason.

M: But Rin, being under stress in this form could very hazardous.

R: That is true, but if I am to be a leader, I can't hide forever. My mother died protecting her lands and me. I won't let her down because my powers are little hard to gain control of sometimes.

M: Rin you know that is not the major problem. Damage from you powers going a little crazy can be fixed. If you exhaust yourself before you can even claim the South as your own…

R: I won't, please don't worry about it.

M: Okay, I won't but I'll warn you I will pop up around your school to make sure you aren't doing anything too bad. Anyway back to my real reason for bothering you and dragging you out here.

R: Which is?

M: The other one with that moon, the dog. How are you two making out?

R: Oh, only once before we got here.

M: What do you mean?

R: Nothing, we are the best of friends.

M: Nothing more… Anything you would like to get off your chest or neck?

R: I have a feeling that you know something, spit it out you mischievous little fairy.

M: I'll tell you that red mark on your neck isn't just a bite mark. It is more of the beginning of an ancient marking ceremony. But I wouldn't think he would know about that, way before his time, probably instinct. That is a little bit of a hickey too.

R: *Blushes*It is not a hickey!

M: You may trick your friends but not me. I don't need truth or dare to know the outer meaning of that. Rolling around on a bed in an empty house, watch yourself princess.

R: You little spy…

M: Rin, I don't have to spy on you when you broadcast your thoughts when we are alone. You must always have your guard up. This is why you shouldn't be wondering around in your true form.

R: Blah, Blah, Blah… I'll watch it okay. But the seal is out… too much at stake.

M: Fine, oh and you should know your friend Kagome is planning to trick you into a revealing outfit tomorrow. She wants to see what the dog does, I think… or she wants to kiss a hippo for a ballet to see if a mouse can jump a fence.

R: Reading minds in different languages…

M: I am getting better at it. Spanish was my only forte because of your mother but I'm working on some others.

R: You need help… Just great my mom left me with an evil, mind reading water fairy cousin for a guardian…

M: Yeah you better believe it… Come on I better take you back to that house near the shrine.

R: Okay… Mizu let's go.

M: Oh yes Rin the spirit stones, I see you can control the light now.

R: Yeah so that's water, soul, wind, light and the spirit of the moon.

M: That still leaves flame, earth, darkness and the spirits of the sun and earth.

R: That sounds about right…

M: You must hurry…

R: Chill Mizu, I only got the things last year.

M: Whatever you say…

Ayame was the first to walk down into the basement. The boys were arguing over what movie they should watch. Well, most of them, Miroku and Sesshoumaru were eating popcorn watching Kouga, Shippo and Inu Yasha fight over control of the dvd player.

"Seventy- five says Kouga will put in Scary Movie 3 before the rest of them…" Miroku said shoving popcorn into his mouth.

"I disagree, Shippo will get Finding Nemo in first. While Inu Yasha and Kouga bite each others heads off." Sesshoumaru said.

"I think Inu Yasha will put in what ever he has first. He looks determined. What is that, Freddy vs. Jason" Ayame had just sat down by Miroku. She was wearing a halter top with matching silk pants. Her top had a full moon on it with a silhouette of a wolf howling and under it, it said, `We do more than just howl.' Her pants had different phases of the moon on them. And she had on a pair of fuzzy slippers with claws coming out of them. Her hair was down and being held out of her face with a dried starfish.

"Seventy-five bucks right… My money is on Shippo. He seems hyper enough to do it," Kirara said. She wore a silver night shirt that had green cat eyes on the front and said, `Meow!' She had a matching sleeping cap and socks. She sat on a loveseat and grabbed a bucket of popcorn. Her hair was braided up into a ponytail with shells randomly placed in it.

"Nope, that is Kouga all the way…" Sango said skipping the last two steps. She was wearing an overly large shirt and a pair of boxers. The shirt was long sleeved with dark blue stripes and a fake tie printed on it. It said, `The best Man for a job is often a Woman.' The boxers were a little big for her. They were dark blue and had the same thing printed randomly on them. Her hair was in its normal high ponytail but pearls adorned it.

"My money is on the jackass," Kagome said gently. She was wearing a slinky black dress that stopped at her knee. It had black lace and matching high-heeled sandals. It had a see through over coat. Her hair was braided and being held out of her face by a sea comb.

"Okay place all bets on the table," Miroku said pointing toward a table in the middle of the room. "Since everyone has a betting partner, the winners split the cash. So that's 300 dollars each…"

Sesshoumaru was looking toward the stairs over and over again. No one noticed but Kagome because everyone else was rutting on their money. "Sesshoumaru, she's just talking to some fairy. She said it shouldn't take more than fifteen minutes."

"Kagome, I have no idea what you are talking about…" Sesshoumaru said turning away from the stairs to give her the blank mask.

"Denial, it is a wonderful thing ain't it. Especially when you hold so much."

"Just like the amount of it you hold for my brother…"

Kagome was trying to think up a smart comment when Rin came sliding down backwards on the stairwell. She jumped off and landed about a foot from Kagome and Sesshoumaru. "That was fun…" Rin turned around to see a staring contest between Kagome and Sesshoumaru. She ignored them and looked toward the television, "Ooo… Finding Nemo." Rin grabbed Kagome and Sesshoumaru's hands and dragged them toward the TV. (So… Sesshoumaru and Kirara won the bet)

Rin sat down in a beanbag chair in front of the television with popcorn. Her hair was in two loose buns held together by a ring of shells. She was wearing blue booty shorts and a tank top that stopped a little bit above her shorts. The tank had Tinker-bell blowing a kiss. Below Tinker-bell was something written in the Fairy language. She had on blue flared leg warmers and her feet were bare. (Watch Z3 on Disney… Little Sisters Suck…)

Inu Yasha and Kouga were pouting in a corner for having to watch a little kid movie. Sango and Miroku were in front of the TV sharing a long pillow, M&M's, popcorn and a sprite. And miraculously Miroku was keeping his hands to himself. Ayame was sitting on the couch and after Kouga finished sulking he joined her and they shared a pepperoni pizza. Sesshoumaru had sat next to Rin who automatically stretched out into his arms. Kagome and Inu Yasha were sitting on the loveseat with five pillows between them. Shippo and Kirara were sharing a daybed that was stretched out and were eating popcorn.

After Finding Nemo they watched XXX. Rin had dozed off and Kirara was straining to keep her eyes open. By the time they put Chicago in, Kirara, Ayame, Shippo and Sango were sleeping. And at the end of Freddy vs. Jason everyone was sleeping.

Ayame had her head in Kouga's lap; his fingers were laced in her hair as they slept. Rin had curled up into Sesshoumaru's chest; his arms were wrapped around her waist. Sango's head was on Miroku's chest; his arm was around her shoulder. Shippo had his tail over Kirara's arm; She was snuggled into it. Kagome's head was on a pillow that was on Inu Yasha's leg.

At about three a watch beeped twice. A pair of blue eyes shot open followed a pair of pink and then green ones. "It's time," Ayame yawned out. She gently moved Kouga's hand and got up. He stirred a little but was still sleep.

"Someone has to get Kagome and Sango up," Kirara said. She slowly moved off of Shippo's tail. "Rin are you up?"

"Um, hum… you guys get the stuff from up stairs. I'll get Sango and Kagome." Kirara and Ayame made their way up stairs. Rin didn't want to move but this was too good to miss. She started to try and move but Sesshoumaru just got a firmer grip on her waist. "I know you're awake…"

"So what if I am?" Sesshoumaru sneered.

"I have to get Kagome and Sango up…" Rin whined softly.

"Why?" He raked his claws over the delicate skin of her back.

"Mmm…Sesshoumaru please, just wait okay, you can watch." Rin said. Sesshoumaru buried his head in her neck and then reluctantly let go of her. He made a noise that Rin took as an, `As if,' and turned over.

After Rin woke up Sango and Kagome, they waited for Ayame and Kirara. They all crowded around Inu Yasha.

"Okay, If he starts to wake up I'll just rub his ears right?" Sango asked.

"Um, hum… I have hair duty. Kirara has the fingernails and Rin has the toes. Ayame has the make up and you two can switch off. So Sango you can do his eyes." Kagome whispered quickly.

"Lights…" Kirara whispered. Rin's forehead glowed and a small ball of light formed over his face. "Camera…" Sango held up a disposable camera and a Polaroid. "Action…" Everyone got to her task.

Kagome parted his hair and put a lot of ponytails in it. It hurt her to mess up his hair but this was not about the diary something more had happened.
