One After Another:Chapter 5- Back Across The Well
"Have you heard?" "Heared what?" "We have a new student coming in today." "Really? A boy or girl?" "A girl. From what I hear, she has a strange appearance. She has blue and black hair and she won't wear her uniform. She wears, most the time, boy clothes."
Rumors spread around the school in the early morning about a new high school student. The girl's first day there and rumors already spread. Tsuki Mariu. A 17 year old girl new to Japan.
Ayumi, Eri, and Yuka talked about the mystery girl. Well, she wasn't really much of a mystery anymore. Kagome ran up to the three. "Hey guys! What you talking about?" "The new girl" they responed in unison. Kagome gave a confused look.
"There's a new student?" All three girls nodded their heads. Just then, a girl with blue and black hair walked by, wearing a pair of black baggy pants and a tight black shirt saying 'don't know, don't care' on the front in blue letters.
Kagome gave the girl a curious look. As though she felt her look, Tsuki turned around and looked at her. Being the nice person she was Kagome smiled. Tsuki had a slight look on her face before giving her own smile and walking up to Kagome.
"Hi?" Noticing the nervous sound coming from the girl, Kagome gave another smile and held out her hand. "Hi! I'm Hugurashi Kagome. Whats your name?" Giving another smile too, Tsuki held out her hand. "I'm Mariu Tsuki."
The four girls talked before they went to their own classes. "So what's your classes Mariu?" "Can you please just call me Tsuki? It feels wierd you guys calling me by my last name." Kagome nodded. "You can just call me Kagome then."
Tsuki handed Kagome her scedule. "Wow! We have all the same classes. Wierd." "Cool!" Kagome gave Tsuki a smile.
The two kept walking to their classes. "Hey Tsuki?" "Yeah Kagome?" "Is that your real hair colors?" Tsuki gave a sheepish smile. "I know it's wierd but yeah it is." Kagome gave another smile. "Not wierd at all." 'At least not for a half demon like you' Kagome thought. But she kept that to herself.

The group walked down the trail. Brisk moring air welcomed into their still tired bodies. Inuyasha lead the group East, back to Keade's village. Sango and Miroku were talking in the back while Shippo sat on Inuyasha's shoulder. Miroku and Sango were to be married in a few weeks, so they were making plans.
Shippo sat there on the hanyou's shoulder, watching the scence go by as everyone else walked. Light was given by the still rising sun. Yawning, Shippo streched while staying on his perch.
They had about 12 shikon shards now. A sad look came onto his face. His second mother to him had left so long ago. He still missed her. Turning his eyes to the left, he gave Inuyasha a glare. 'It's all his fault,' he thought, 'Kagome would still be here if it wasn't for him.'
Giving a sigh, Shippo gave up on his thoughts. Better to forgive and forget he guessed. 'I'm not gonna forget Kagome though! Just that this is all Inuyasha's fault is what I am going to forget.' Shippo gave a small smile. Nodding his head, he turned to Inuyasha completely and smiled.
Inuyasha's mind was somewhere else but when he felt Shippo start to move more, he turned his head towards him. The little runt was giving him a smile. "Oi! What's the matter with u runt?" "Nothing Inuyasha." Inuyasha just huffed and looked forward again. "Wierd kid," he mumbled. "What you say?!" Shippo started pounding on Inuyasha's head, screaming I'm not wierd.
Sango watched the two. Miroku looked at Inuyasha's face. He was smiling. Inuyasha was smiling a small smile. Miroku was a little shocked. Ever since Kagome left, Inuyasha rarely smiled. Miroku turned to Sango and smiled. Sango gave a smile of her own then went up to the two bickering demons to seperate them.
"Guess it's getting better." Miroku kept walking, passing the 3 now having an agruement. Something about Sango needing help and dumping an certain monk. 'Wonder what they mean by that.' Not long later, the rest of the group caught up to Miroku.
Continuing on their way, they missed the pinkish with silver eyes watching from up in the trees of the still dark forest. The stranger gave a smile of their own and kept following.

"Kagome! I need some help out here!" "Coming grandpa!" Putting down the broom, Kagome got on her shoes and walked outside to see what her grandpa wanted. Just to see he wasn't in sight. "Gramps? Where are you?" "I'm in the well house." Kagome gulped. She hadn't been in there since she came back.
Taking small steps to the little shed made Kagome take longer to it. Once she reached the door, she slid it open to see her grandpa struggling to put something on a top shelf. Sighing and wanting nothing more than to hurry out of there, she went over to her grandpa and tryed sliding the box up on the shelf.
Setting the box down completely on the floor, Kagome sighed. "Gramps, just go inside or something. I'll do this on my own." Her grandpa looked at her before nodding and getting a broom to sweep the area outside. " Now where did gramps put the step ladder last?"
She started searching around the well house for the small ladder. "Ouch! Darn junk." Kagome glared at the little trinket that had fallen on her head when she bumped into another shelf.
"I give up." Turning back around at the box on the floor, she saw that the well was close enough for her to stand on while setting the box up. 'Nothing bad can happen right?' With that thought in her head, Kagome picked up the box and climbed to the edge of the well. "There its goes!"
Kagome was about to step off the well when she tripped. Giving a surprised sound, she fell onto the floor, adding a new bump on her head and a bruise on her butt. "Damnit. That hurt."
Starting to pick her self up, she almost fell again. "I really am too clumsy." A loud meow was heard from by the door. Looking over there, Kagome saw Buyo. "Hey Buyo." Buyo walked over towards her direction. "You're not supposed to be in here."
Of course, the overwieghed cat ignored her and kept walking. Then, Buyo jumped up into Kagome's arms. She lost her balance and fell backwards. Kagome screamed as she fell back into the well, lettin go of her cat before she fell.
Grandpa Higurashi walked into the well house after hearing the yell. As he walked in, Buyo walked out. Peeking inside, he saw nothing, no one. "Kagome?" Still no response. "Oh no. Not again." He calmly walked inside the house to tell everyone Kagome fell in the well again.

'Oh no.' Looking up, hoping to see the roof of the well house, she saw the blue sky coming from the bottom of the well. "Aww shit! How'd I get back here? I don't have any jewel shards." Climbing up the stone wall, Kagome felt an familar aura coming her way.
Coming at a fast rate from the West. "Oh no, oh no," Kagome repeated as she was about to jump back into the well she just finished climbing out of.
"Kagome?" Pausing what she was doing, Kagome stood still, becoming stiff. "Is that really you?" Cursing herself in her head for not being faster, she said the only words that were able to exscape her mouth. "Oh hell, not you."
*!~*!~*!~*!~*!~*!~*!~*!~*!~*!~*!~*!~*!~*!~*!~*!~*!~*!~*
"Huh?" Sticking his nose in the air for a better sniff, Inuyasha caught the scent better. "What is it Inuyasha?" The look on Inuyasha's was one of shock. Shippo gave him a curious look before checking for the scent the hanyou caught. Just like Inuyasha's eyes, Shippo's widened.
"What is it you two?" Before Sango got her answer, Inuyasha ran ahead of everyone. "Inuyasha!" The woman's call was not answered as the hanyou continued his run East.
"Shippo? What did you two smell that made Inuyasha run off?" Shippo looked up at Miroku with a gaint grin on his face. "Kagome!" Miroku's and Sango's eyes grew big. "She's back?" Seeing the kitsune's head go up and down, Sango squaled.
"So should we hurry and go see her?" The other two nodded their heads yes to Miroku. "Kirara!" The said fire cat transformed from her cute, small form to her gaint, sabortoothed form. Everyone jumped onto her back before she flew into the air.
The shadow in the forest hopped from tree to tree, watching the group of friends go find this Kagome girl. The shadow smiled and then bolted in head of the others to catch up with Inuyasha. 'This should be more fun then I first thought!'
*!~*!~*!~*!~*!~*!~*!~*!~*!~*!~*!~*!~*!~*!~*!~*!~*!~ *!~*
'Kagome,' Inuyasha thought, 'are you really back?' Running at his top speed, he raced to the old bone eater's well. The scent got stronger the closer he got.
Then, the scent of fear mixed with her scent. Something was scaring Kagome? A deep growl came from deep in his throat. 'Nothing better be scaring my Kagome.'
Speeding faster past the trees till they were just a blur, Inuyasha sped towards Kagome. Coming out of the clearing in record speed, Inuyasha caught the sight of Kagome about to go back down the well. Not beleiving though that she was really there, he called out to her.
"Kagome?" She paused, looking stiff. "Is that really you?" He didn't a response for awhile. But when she did say something, he was a little shocked. "Oh hell, not you."
She turned around to face him face to face. Her eyes a cold brown as they stared at the golden eyes of Inuyasha's. He looked even more shocked. "What the hell is the matter with you?" Inuyasha stared at Kagome.
Then, he rushed up to her and grabbed her around her waist. "Kagome!" She screamed before yelling "get your hands off me you hanyou!" Inuyasha paused. He looked back up to her eyes, that still had that cold look in them. "Kagome?" "Get your hands off me!"
He looked sad for a minute, then let her go. "What the hell are you thinking?!" "Oi Kagome? Are you alright?" She glared at him. 'He's not really asking that is he?' "No, I'm not alright. I just got sent back in the past to meet the person I hate the most!"
Inuyasha took a step back. The look on his face was as though he had been slapped. His mouth opened and closed, but no noise came out. "Do you," Inuyasha took a gulp of air, hoping he just heard Kagome wrong, "do you really hate me that much?"
If possible, Kagome's glare got colder. " Are you really asking? Fine, want your answer? I hate your being. I hate you with all my soul Inuyasha."
"Have you heard?" "Heared what?" "We have a new student coming in today." "Really? A boy or girl?" "A girl. From what I hear, she has a strange appearance. She has blue and black hair and she won't wear her uniform. She wears, most the time, boy clothes."
