One After Another:Chapter 6- We Meet Again
His heart felt like he was being stabbed. She hated him. The peices of his heart were shattering all over again. He bowed his head, his chin laying one his chest. Inuyasha was torn. He still loved her after she said she hated him with all her soul. 'Maybe,' he thought, 'she's just saying that and if she's not.........I can show her I love her still.'
Still, the pain in his heart still throbed. Closing his eyes, he blocked out his thoughts at the moment. "You mean that?" Hearing her 'hmph', he sneaked a peek at her. The coldness never faded from her brown eyes, her slightly longer hair blew in the afternoon wind like fire, and her outfit fit in all the right places it seemed. The black pants she wore with the dark brown shirt and dark mini jean jacket fitted onto her curves and were loose at the right spots.
Blushing a bit looking at her, he hid his face again behind his hair. He was about to open his mouth to ask her another question when she spoke up. "What the hell is the matter with you? You're all pink." Hiding his face more for being caught, he gave his all so famous response. "Feh!" The small smile that was on Kagome's face for a minute went unnoticed by Inuyasha.
"Hey Kagome?" "What?" The snap in her voice settled alot now as she spoke. "Can......You give me another chance?"
The look on her face was more than shocked. "What other chance? And for what?" Inuyasha looked away again as he responded. "Can you give me another chance to at least gain back your trust?"
Kagome gave a gentle smile that Inuyasha saw this time. "Thats going to take alot of time." With that, Inuyasha gave a huge smile, knowing not all hope was lost. Everything that happened last time Kagome had been in the past was forgotten. Those a little over seven months ago lost in the back of their minds.
An distant yell could be heard over the trees. Both people in the clearing looked up to see a flying fire cat with three people sitting on her back. "Kagome!" When Kirara was almost to the ground, Shippo bounced off of Kirara's back and into Kagome's arms. Both hugged for awhile before Kagome let Shippo down.
Two more yells were heard and before Kagome could stand completely straight from setting down Shippo, she had another pair of arms around her. Guessing by the long dark brown hair that was tied in the low ponytail, she knew it was Sango. "Sango!" Both girls gave a tight hug before breaking apart.
The last pair of arms that came around her shoulders made sure to keep their hands to themselves by raising their hands away from her body. She laughed at his antics as Miroku let go of her to give a small laugh of his own.
Everyone was together again. They all had a small talk before they decided to head back to Keade's before it got dark. Inuyasha grabbed Kagome's hand before she could go talk to Sango. "Can we talk on the way there?" A smile lit her face as the hanyou blushed at it. "Sure!"
Walking in quite peace for awhile, the two just held eachother's hand before Inuyasha decided to speak up. "I'm sorry." Now, it wasn't everyday that Inuyasha said he was sorry so Kagome was shocked again. Closing her mouth before flys or something got into it, she asked "why you sorry?"
"I hurt you." Both faces became a little pained in the memory. "What has happened since I left?" Thanking the Gods that Kagome changed the subject, Inuyasha told her about Miroku and Sango getting married soon, about the group going at a slow pace for the jewel shards, and about him killing Kikyo.
"You killed her?" Inuyasha nodded his head. "But I thought-" "Well you thought wrong." "But that night in the woods-" "I said the wrong things. I didn't know anything then, I guess."
Looking solemn for awhile, Kagome stopped Inuyasha as they were about to exit the woods to enter Keade's village. "I'm sorry you had to do that." A smile came upon Inuyasha's face, a small, slightly sad smile. "There's nothing you should be sorry about. I should be sorry. Because of me, you were hurt."
Both gave eachother a smile and entered the village to catch up with their friends. 'Everythings going to work out I think' Inuyasha thought.

Watching the two as they entered the small village brought a smile to their face. Something about the two felt so right. Pink and silver mixed eyes watched everything play out in front of them.
Their extra good hearing picked up anything the two said. "Now," the person said, "time for the next step." 'If there is one.'

Everyone was talking to Keade and having dinner when yelling was heard outside. "Lady Keade! Leady Keade! There's an injured girl that was found in the woods out here!" The group jumped up and looked outside.
In the dark was a figure coming towards the hut. As the figure came closer, the more the group could see. One of the young village men was walking as fast as he could with a pretty young girl in his arms. Blood spattered onto the ground from the girl's tattered body. The man ran inside the hut and layed the girl on a mat.
"Thank you Takisha. You can leave." Takisha gave a slight bow and ran out the hut to his own in the dark. Keade took a look at the girl's body.
Cuts and gashes appeared all over her body that was shown, since parts of her clothing was torn, the natural color of her hair was unknown with all the blood on it, and her breathing came out harsh, low, and fast. Giving a sigh, Keade told the others to go into the other room so she could work in peace.
'This is going to be a long night.' With that, she began her work mixing herbs and and working on her body where tending was needed.

The sun raised over the hills and trees, waking up people in the villages. Keade wiped the sweat from her forehead. She had been working all night on the young girl. Finally, the girl had her breath to normal and the blood stopped rushing from her cuts.
A yawn was heard behind her. Looking behind her, she saw Kagome walking in. Both gave a smile before Kagome's attention was brought to the girl on the futon. "So, she's ok now?" Keade nodded. "The wounds will heal after awhile and she will be as good as new except for a few scars."
Both woman talked before the others came out. All had breakfast and talked for a bit. Everyone then went off to do chores that were asked of them or went on a walk or was playing.
Shippo went to go play with some kids in the village, Sango and Miroku went on a walk in the woods, along with Kilala, Keade went to help a sick man who seemed to have the flu, and Inuyasha was helping familes who had lost pieces of their houses in the recent storm. Leaving Kagome in the hut with the injured girl.
Kagome was thinking she had to go back to school soon when she heard some stirring from the girl. Kagome sat by the girl, watching as she woke. Eyelids opened to reveal dark blue eyes with brown on the edges and a sliver mixed in the blue. 'Thats different.'
Blinking, adjusting to the light coming from the window, the young girl looked up at Kagome's face. "Who are you?" The soft voice of the girl sounded hoarse. "I'm Kagome. Whats your name?" "Tairishi."Tairishi tried sitting up but fell back onto the futon after the feeling of pain ran through her body.
"What happened to you to give you so many injuries?" Looking up into Kagome's eyes, Tairishi sighed. "A demon. I was walking through the woods with my friend when a demon attacked." Pausing, she seemed to think of something.
"Wheres Kasha!?"Kagome blinked looking confused as Tairisi started trying to sit up again. "Whos Kasha?" "My friend!" Looking a bit worried, Kagome told her that the villager only found her.
Stopping the struggles coming from Tairishi, Kagome calmed her and layed her back down. Not much time passed before Tairishi went to sleep from losing too much energy. Silence once again surrounded the small hut.
Sighing, Kagome went to think to herself when she heard someone yelling outside. Getting up and looking out, Kagome saw Shippo tranformed into his gaint pink balloon form with something or someone on his back.
"Whats the matter Shippo?" Setting the thing on his back on the ground gently to the ground, he transformed back into his normal self.
Taking a closer look at what Shippo found, Kagome noticed it was a human girl, about Tairishi's age. "I was playing in the forest when I found her on the ground. Is she ok?"
Also like Tairishi, many wounds covered her body. "Can you help me get her inside?" Nodding, Shippo helped Kagome lift the girl and brought her inside the hut. Setting her down on a futon, Kagome started telling Shippo what herbs to get off the shelves. "Thanks Shippo. You can leave if you want now." Smiling, he scamperd back outside to go play some more.
Getting to work, Kagome bangaged the girl and healed as manny wounds as she could. When the job was done, Kagome sighed and started to relax.
"You found her?" Looking to see Tairishi looking at the other girl, Kagome knew what she meant. "Yeah, my friend found her in the woods too." "Is she alright?" Noticing the worry in her eyes, Kagome told her she was going to be alright. Nodding, Tairishi fell back asleep.
Feeling sleepy herself, Kagome settled down for a nap. Not much time passed before sleep claimed her. Of course, she missed the pink light glowing across Kasha.
His heart felt like he was being stabbed. She hated him. The peices of his heart were shattering all over again. He bowed his head, his chin laying one his chest. Inuyasha was torn.
