“Come on Inuyasha you said you wouldn't hold back.” Kagome laughed as Inuyasha disappeared from sight.

 

Inuyasha was letting her get a head start; let her think she was winning. Inuyasha heard a scream from up a head then took off faster.

 

“INUYASHA!!!” Kagome yelled when he came into view. Kee was holding her back as she struggled to get free.

 

“Inuyasha if you want her to live I suggest you tell her to stop being so difficult I wouldn't want to hurt her because my claws slipped.” Kee said as he dug his claws into Kagome's arm.

 

“Kagome stay still.” Inuyasha growled as he slowly took a step towards them. Kagome reluctantly stopped struggling with a whimper as Kee dug his claws into her other arm. “Kagome be quiet.” Inuyasha growled as he stopped moving.

 

“Inuyasha, Inuyasha you should know better then to try and get the upper hand when the enemy has something precious in his grasp.” Kee said with a satisfied grin, because Inuyasha was getting the message that he had to do what he was told.

 

“Kee let Kagome go; she doesn't belong to you anymore.” Inuyasha growled.

 

“That isn't going to stop me from ruining her life.” Kee snapped. “She ruined mine; do you really think I looked too good when I explained why I killed her brother hmm? Everybody in this damn world has gone soft.” Kee moved his hand to Kagome's shoulder, and ran his claws down her back leaving long gashes going down her back, making her shirt fall a little slack, but still covering her. “Back when my father was around, they would have helped me track her down.”

 

Inuyasha's eyes flashed red as silent tear rolled down Kagome's cheeks. “Kee you don't know what you're bringing on to yourself.”

 

“Oh, am I driving you insane? Are you losing yourself? When I'm done, are you going to be able to recognize Kagome here?” That got a loud growl out of Inuyasha, and he took a step closer. “But you won't recognize her because of the reason you're thinking, it'll be because you will have lost control and become a danger to more then just me.” With that Kee brought his other hand up to her shoulder and did the same to the other side of Kagome's back. “You'll be a danger to her.” Kee brought a blood covered claw to his mouth. “I don't think you be able to resist this smell, or taste.” Inuyasha's eye's where now completely red with blue pupils. “Bye, bye.” Kee said as he let go of Kagome and took off.

 

“Inuyasha…?” Kagome whined as she took a shaky step towards him as she pushed the shoulder of her shirt back up.

 

Inuyasha growled at her thinking what she was getting hurt and wants my help? Who does this bitch think I am?

 

“Inuyasha please.” Kagome whimpered as her legs gave out. “Inuyasha help me.” Kagome moved back on her knees so she was sitting on them as he walked closer growling at her.

 

She's even marked. She should go find her fucking mate. Inuyasha's eyes grew wide when he got on to his knees to inspect her better the mark was his, she was his mate, that's why she was asking for his help. She wasn't being weak in asking a random male demon for help; she was asking her mate for his help. Inuyasha's eye's flashed gold for a second but remained red.

 

“Inuyasha it hurts so much…help me…” Kagome whimpered as she fought not to faint.

 

Inuyasha's eyes were fading back to their original golden color as he moved behind her. “Kagome…” Inuyasha growled as he moved to her side and picked her up bridal style.

 

“Inuyasha it hurts…” Kagome whined as she laid her head against his chest.

 

“I know Kagome, I know.” Inuyasha said his eyes their normal color again, and he started running towards home at top speed.

 

Kagome closed her eyes, and said, “Inuyasha can I take a nap?”

 

“No Kagome you have to stay awake for me.” Inuyasha said looking down at her for a second before looking ahead again.

 

Kagome opened her eyes again and weakly smiled at him as Inuyasha slowed to a walk as they got to the village.

 

“Inuyasha, is Kagome ok?” Sango asked as she ran over with Sakura behind her.

 

“She should be ok.” Inuyasha said looking at between his friend and his mother. “I'm going to take care of her.” Inuyasha said as he walked passed them to his hut.

 

“I don't think I've ever seen Inuyasha take such an interest in something before.” Sango said looking at Inuyasha as he rushed into his hut.

 

“You would be surprised what a mate will do for their mate.” Sakura said looking at Sango then over at Miroku who was coming this way. “So do you think you'll get a mate sometime soon?” That made Sango blush and Miroku freeze.

 

“Umm…I don't know…maybe…” Sango said bringing her hands to her cheeks.

 

“Ah Lady Sakura, Lady Sango, I thought I saw Inuyasha rush threw here.” Miroku said making his presence known.

 

“Kagome's hurt he's taking care of her.” Sakura said with a smile at the two. “Why don't you two take a walk around the village, and clear your minds.”

 

“Yes I think that would be a good idea Lady Sakura, shall we Sango?” Miroku said with a smile.

 

“Yeah I guess it would do some good.” Sango said as she walked beside Miroku as he went down the path.
