Kagome felt numb as Inuyasha cleaned the wounds on her back. Everything seemed to be swimming around her. “Inuyasha I don't feel well…” Kagome whimpered a little.

 

Inuyasha finished with her back and said, “I know Kago…” as he pulled Kagome against his chest as he wrapped a blanket around them. “You can go to sleep now.” Inuyasha looked down and found that she was way a head of him.

 

“Is she doing ok?” Sango asked as she and Miroku stuck their heads in a few minutes later.

 

“Yeah she should be fine.” Inuyasha said looking at her then at Miroku, who he threw a rock at. “Get your mind out of the gutter she's hurt.”

 

“Miroku you hentia!” Sango yelled hitting him over the head.

 

“My mind wasn't in the gutter!” Miroku defended himself as he ran behind Inuyasha who was growling at him, but he was safer then Sango.

 

“Then what were you thinking?” Inuyasha asked as he glared at Miroku who sat down next to Sango in front of him.

 

“The fact that you really do care about her and you weren't just being stubborn about her leaving.” Miroku said with a shrug.

 

“Of course I care about her. I wouldn't have made her my mate other wise.” Inuyasha said like Miroku was stating the obvious. (Which he was)

 

“What are we going to do about Kee?” Sango asked grabbing Miroku's hand in order to stop it from coming any closer to her butt.

 

“We?” Inuyasha said raising his eyebrow at her.

 

“She's our friend too Inuyasha.” Miroku said.

 

“Yeah we want to help her too.” Sango said with a slight smile.

 

“I guess so, but we'll deal with it when she's better.” Inuyasha said rapping the blanket more securely around him and Kagome when she shivered.

 

Sango and Miroku nodded and said goodbye.

 

~The next day~

 

Kagome woke up and cuddled into the warmth behind her with a sigh.

 

“Morning mate…” Inuyasha yawned leaning forward setting his head on her shoulder.

 

Kagome yawned something close to morning. Looking around Kagome noticed her top lying next to Inuyasha's and she started to blush. “Why am I not wearing my top?”

 

“Hmm?” Inuyasha looked over to their discarded tops and then said, “Looks like mom Sango finished it, but anyway I had to clean up your back. Don't worry I didn't look.” Ok so he had but he didn't mean to, it was an accident.

 

Kagome nodded, but her blush didn't fade. “Could you close your eyes so I can get my top?”

 

Inuyasha nodded and closed his eyes and leaned back, letting go of her. When she sat back down in his lap he opened his eyes and pulled her back into a hug. “We're going to have to do something about Kee.”

 

“I know.” Kagome said with a nod.

 

“We'll deal with it when you're in full heath though.” Inuyasha said rubbing her stomach underneath her top.

 

“I feel fine though.” Kagome said looking back at him. “By the way where is my sword?”

 

“My dad is cleaning it along with mine. Yours was pretty banged up what did you take that sword to, a tree?” Inuyasha asked raising his eyebrows she changed topics quickly.

 

“I ran into a snake demon a while ago, and it also belonged to my grandmother so it's not that new.” Kagome said crossing her arms.

 

“That would explain it.” Inuyasha nodded. “You still tired, or are we going to have to start the day?”

 

“Unfortunately we're going to have to start the day.” Kagome said as she stood up.

 

“I'm sure Sango wants to make sure you're ok, and I need to hit Miroku a few times.” Inuyasha said as they walked out of their hut.

 

“I'm not going to ask.” Kagome said waving to Sango. “Hey Sango.”

 

“Hey, how you feeling?” Sango asked falling in line with her friends.

 

“Good, but I defiantly need a bath.” Kagome said with a shrug.

 

“Well I thought you might feel that way.” Sango said holding up the two towels in her hands.

 

“Sango you're the best.” Kagome cheered as she put her hands together. “I'll see you later Inu.” Kagome said as she kissed him on the cheek. She blushed as she realized what she did.

 

Inuyasha smirked at her and leaned down and lightly kissed her on the lips before turning her around and saying, “Sango take care of my mate.”

 

Sango grinned and nodded before walking off with Kagome beside her.
