Konbanwa Minna-San, to tell all of you wonderful readers and reviewers, I wouldn't have posted this chapter if it wasn't for my wonderful report card that I received today. I got all "A"s! I am so very happy and wanted you all to enjoy the happiness that is coming off of me in waves and to top it off today I got to hang out with my Best Friend and we had just a great time. So thank that I am a good student and had a great time today that you get this chapter. I hope that I answer questions, that were unanswered in the last chapter, and that you all enjoy your selves while reading the newest chapter of Past Becomes Present. And also the review responses well be on the bottom of the chapter, I just wanted to tell you all this before hand. Remember enjoy! Last Time

"I assume so." SesshoMaru gave into his need to hold his long lost Kagome and gave her a "friendly" hug.

`How it feels to hold her again!'

"Thanks that helped." Kagome grinned up at SesshoMaru. "Um - You want to talk?"

"Yeah sure. How about we go somewhere tomorrow. I'll pick you up at your friends' penthouse since she is going to be gone in the states."

"Oh that would be great! Let's go back to the reception. I bet I have some more fans because of that number with my song Yesterday & Today. It's nice to have fans but I only sing to get my mind off of things." Kagome laughed as she walked ahead of SesshoMaru.

`I haven't laughed in so long. At least with someone of the opposite sex that isn't my friend!'

Just wait until to tomorrow…

This Time

Seeing Ayumi leave with Hojo on their honeymoon had been harder then Kagome thought it would be.

`Well I should be happy that I am going to hang out with Yokaishino-San!'

The thought perked Kagome up. Going to sleep in her cool sheets brought a flashback from the first time that Sesshomaru and her had shared the same bed - and didn't do anything.

`Flash Back

Sitting on the futon while waiting for SesshoMaru to come in was boring. Sighing for what seemed like the hundredth time since she had changed into her nightgown.

"Stupid Sessho-Kun I snuck away from the encampment to see him tonight." Suddenly a thought hit Kagome and it made her start crying. "He wouldn't have concubines! I know he wouldn't…I mean he has me - his mate." So caught up in her speaking she failed to notice SesshoMaru sit next to her.

"You are correct. I have no concubines - I never did." SesshoMaru spoke in a light manner.

"Sessho-Kun what took you so long?"

"I had to dispose of a troublesome yokai that had been bothering some close by villages. You weren't afraid that I was cheating on you, were you?"

"No. I just hate it when I have to sneak away from my friends and it is all for nothing."

"I understand. I can see that we both tired so let us get some sleep." SesshoMaru kindly said as he stripped to get a pair of sweat pants that Kagome had gotten him. Lying down next to his beloved he whispered.

"See that's much better." Kagome lightly kissed SesshoMaru's nose and fell into a deep slumber safely assured that her beloved would keep her safe from any harm.

End Flash Back'

"Beep! Beep! Beep!" Kagome groggily reached for the alarm clock and turn it off. Shifting under the lavender colored sheets and comforter she got up and headed toward the bathroom to shower. Picking out a outfit of low-raise jeans and a black T-shirt that had a dipping neckline - it still being modest. Before going in the shower she put on the radio and got greeted with one of her songs - it was called Boukensha Tachi. (a/n: This song is by Do As Infinity them owning it making me not - I also am going to just put any song lyrics in English because I don't think that everyone can read Romanji.)

Kagome showered and changed as the song ended, turning off the song she silently put on her socks and tennis shoes - the same shoes she wore to Senguko Jidai.

`Well even if I can't be by SesshoMaru I can be by Yokaishino-San. Um Midoriko-Chan?'

Hai?

`My hanging out with Yokaishino-San wouldn't mean that I am betraying SesshoMaru would it?'

Lie it wouldn't. Do you not feel that?

Kagome feeling the yokai energy coming towards the front door went to her mom's guest room and lightly knock.

"Come in."

"Oka-San I am going to be going somewhere today. If there is anything need just call my cell phone. Love you and don't stay up the whole time reading The Three Fates by Nora Roberts. Take a nap some time when I am gone." Kagome went over to her mom and gave her a peck on the cheek. Kagome felt the demon energy in the front of the door so quickly she went to go get her purse as the doorbell rang.

"Ohayo!" Kagome saw who it was a questioning expression covering her features. "Maku-San why are you here?"

"Well Hojo-San gave me the instructions to guard his penthouse." Maku smirked suggestively.

"Well there is no need for such seeing as how my mother is staying here while I am gone and my mom and I don't need to be guarded. So you may leave." Kagome explained in a pleasant voice though her insides were turning at the mere sight and smell of him.

`Why can I smell as a yokai smells Modoriko-Chan?'

It is because of your mating with Lord SesshoMaru. Speaking of the Lord Speaking I feel gentle yokai energy coming towards us.

Kagome mentally nodded and sent a plea to the other yokai's mind to hurry and help.

"I am sorry but I have my orders…" Maku's "pleasant" sentence was cut short as SesshoMaru stepped out of the elevator with a passive face but his eyes' a flame with anger.

"Oh Yokaishino-San were you aware of any orders from Hojo-Kun to Maku-San that was him staying at this penthouse?" Kagome shook her head violently when Maku turned his head to see who came out of the elevator.

"I was not told of this and seeing as how I was Hojo-San's Man of Honor he would have told me." SesshoMaru spoke with a deadly calm voice.

`She was desperate for my help. Wait what kind of human can send telepathic messages?'

"Oh well I must have been mistaken, sorry to bother you Kagome-San and Yokaishino-San." Maku hissed while heading towards the elevator - he meaningfully bumped into SesshoMaru's shoulder as he passed him - and the doors closed as he was fully in. Kagome breathed a sigh of relief when she was sure he was gone.

"Thank you so much SesshoMaru-San! I don't know what I would have had to do if it had gotten violent." Kagome smiled at SesshoMaru finally taking notice of his outfit.

It consisted of a long sleeved sweater that was pale white. It fit nicely on his upper body as the jeans did as well. His denim jeans - most likely designer jeans - were tight yet loose enough to leave the imagination to work. He also had a black belt that brought of the whiteness of the off white sweater out. Finishing the outfit was a long gray scarf - his hair was all down.

~(A/n: I saw this in a Manga that was Korean, I was merely looking at this ladies' manga that is in my Algebra's class and I was taken away by that outfit so I decided to put it in my fic. Not important but I thought you might want to know.)~

"It is no problem. You ready?" SesshoMaru asked after Kagome was done looking up and down his long, lean, yet muscular body.

"Oh - yeah just wait I have to get something. Is it cold out side? Or hot?" Kagome asked before she went back into the penthouse.

"It's a bit cold out side. Not too cold but not too hot. Pleasantly warm you could say."

"Kay!" Kagome grabbed a jacket she hadn't worn since the last time she was at Sengoku Jidai. Sniffing it silently she realized it still smelled of earth and the feudal ages.

`It may even smell of SesshoMaru, InuYasha, Shippo, Sango, Keada, and Miroku. Midoriko-Chan? I need to ask you something.'

Kagome waited for a second until she mentally saw a picture of Midoriko's face nodding to continue.

`If I do this would that mean that I am cheating of SesshoMaru?'

Oh Dear just follow your heart and where ever it takes you can never be wrong. For that is what you sub-consciously want so that is what needs to be done. Now go to SesshoMaru he is waiting.

`Of course Midoriko-Chan and as always thank you.'

Kagome didn't wait for the response, she ran to the front door - locking it quickly - she went beside SesshoMaru.

"Okay now I am ready."

Driving

SesshoMaru could smell the Earth and all his old time friends on that jacket that Kagome wore.

`She must be my Kagome! I just wish I could get close enough to smell her neck to see the marking or her hip to she her marking. Maybe I could say something is on her neck and let me see if it is there. Geez I sound like a lovesick puppy!'

Kagome noticed the far away look in SesshoMaru's eyes and - weirdly - wanted his full attention to be on her.

"So SesshoMaru-San, where are we going?" Kagome voiced something that would break the silence that had been put on the couple since they got in the opal black Bentley.

"Anywhere you want to go Kagome-San." SesshoMaru answered.

`It feels weird calling her "San" instead of beloved or dearest or love!' SesshoMaru thought sadly.

"Well I would love to go visit my old shrine and meet the new priestess there. I'll tell you the name of the shrine, it's called Beloved Shrine. You take a right here then a left, then go straight for one mile then you turn right. You will then be right in front of the shrine steps." Kagome directed SesshoMaru. Nearing the Beloved Shrine SesshoMaru could smell Kagome's nervousness and her excitement.

"What's so great about a shrine?" SesshoMaru voiced his thoughts in a somewhat gentle tone.

"It's where I grew up." Was all Kagome would let be said as her quick intake of breath took her next words away. Parking right in front of the steps Kagome quickly unbelted herself to get out - stepping out she just stood in front of SesshoMaru's Bentley. SesshoMaru stood next to her and delicately sniffed.

`It smells somewhat of InuYasha Forest'. Snapping his eyes quickly open he realized `Kagome used some sort of portal to get to Sengoku Jidai! This must be the shrine were she performed all such things.'

Finally noticing that Kagome was not moving he spoke.

"You aren't just going to stand there all day, are you?" Brought out of her musings by SesshoMaru's voice she flushed in embarrassment.

"N-no I am just - Let's just go in there." Slowly walking up the steps - she realized one thing. It felt as though this was meant to happen. All the heartbreak, the tears, the happiness, and last the fact that she was here in front of her old Shrine. Sure not being by SesshoMaru and basking in his warmth was better being by Yokaishino was just as good. Finally making it to the top she took in the atmosphere. The tourists getting little things for friends or lovers back were there came from, the house in the back, the "Forbidden Hut" in which only a true priest or priestess was allowed, and to the far right the beautiful yet forgotten well house. Tears came to Kagome's eyes as she saw the well house.

Oh SesshoMaru how I miss you.

Wiping away tears as the Shrine Priestess walked towards them with learned grace Kagome smiled a welcoming smile.

"Ohayo-Gozaimasu. How may I help you?" The priestess' light brown eyes shown with something a kin to wonder as she spoke in a soft voice. Her mid-back length hair moved in the gentle yet chilling breeze as her hakamas' and blouse swayed in rhythm with the same breeze.

"Ohayo, I am Kagome Higurashi and this is Yokaishino SesshoMaru. I wish to speak with you." Kagome spoke with a borned grace and a cultured voice.

"Of course Higurashi-San. Please follow me." The priestess moved to a stone bench that was close to the well house.

"SesshoMaru-San I need to speak with her alone. I'll be done - hopefully - in a short while." Kagome walked behind of the already seated priestess as SesshoMaru went to go sit somewhere close enough to hear the words spoken but far enough to give the impression that he wasn't eavesdropping. Softly seating on the hard stone bench Kagome saw the resemblance in this priestess with Keada. Must be a relative of Mada.

"You must be wondering why I asked to speak with you." The priestess nod was her response. "Well I was born here and was the miko in training her when I was but fifteen. Though I got barely any time for such things with my . . . adventures. I was wondering what do you plan to do with that old well house."

"You are the legendary Higurashi Kagome!? I thought that your name was just a namesake. Oh kami this is truly an honor Higurashi-Sama. So it is true then - you traveling back in time?"

"Hai I did, I fell through the well on my fifteenth birthday. That is what started it all."

"Oh well this is just truly a honor to meet you! This is as good as seeing the SesshoMaru Yokaishino in person! Well that old well house was just going to be left there. I have not thought of what to do with it. Would you like to spend some time in it?" The priestess' brown eyes' sparkled with excitement.

"Hai I would like that." Kagome got up and headed to the well house. "Oh and what is your name if I may ask?"

"It's Keada the second. I am named after my hundredth great grandmother Keada-Sama who was related to the great Kikyo-Sama. You know that I see you in person you look a lot alike to the other all time great priestess Midoriko-Sama. Do you know why that is?" Keada II asked.

"It is because I am her reincarnation and am also Kikyo's reincarnation. I have a part of both of their spirits. But I only have Kikyo's resemblance and Midoriko's though I got my immense power from some of Midoriko. The rest of my power comes from the Shikon No Tama that was in my body when I was born." Kagome stopped noticing that she held attention of almost everyone at the shrine. "I am going to go into the well house now. Thank you for being so kind to me." Kagome got up and ventured in the well house. (A/n: Sorry if that was confusing. Anyone tell me if that was.) Nearing it she felt as if she was being watched but quickly shaking off the feeling she opened the sliding door and just as swiftly closed it.

"It even smells old." Kagome mused after a deep breath.

"As you smell as good as you did when I first saw you dear Kagome." A deep male's voice uttered. Spinning around to see who it was Kagome caught the gaze of Maku. Standing in the dark well house - even though it was day - for the well house was always dark.

"What are you doing in here?" Kagome asked with a sharp edge to her tone.

"Oh well I was in here before you were in here and I thought I might sneak up on you. Why don't you just get over this mourning thing and come with me. You know you want to!" Maku suddenly made a grab for Kagome's arm and sadly missed by an inch. "Just come here you little bitch!"

Kagome's answer was a purifying blast of her deadly miko powers - sadly breaking the well house in the process. SesshoMaru jumped up and ran towards the shattering well house to see if his Kagome was all right. Kagome hissed as Maku through a hidden knife above her right breast. SesshoMaru was going to chase Maku but seeing Kagome fall to the ground hissing and moaning in pain made him think twice.

"Kagome!" SesshoMaru spoke with urgency that was un-regular to him but felt strangely right. Kagome lifted her head in response but only spoke one word that could form at her growing pale lips.

"Sess . . . Ho . . . Maru . . ." Kagome then passed into unconsciousness. SesshoMaru lifted Kagome's body and headed towards his car so he could drive to the hospital. Making a speedy drive to the hospital and nearly running over a few people in the process he made it there. Picking up Kagome and running in the emergency waiting room.

"Woman!" SesshoMaru bellowed at the poor, timid little woman answering a phone - which she put on hold quickly. "Something is wrong with Kagome here."

"O-Oh are you related to the woman? What is her name?" The woman stuttered somewhat at the beginning of speaking. Going on the loud speaker she spoke. "Dr. Kenshin please report to the emergency waiting area. We have a emergency." Hearing the rushed footfalls of a man coming towards SesshoMaru he looked towards the sound.

A young man with orange red hair stopped in front of SesshoMaru. "Gomenasai I just was in the break room." Finally seeing the unconscious woman in SesshoMaru's arms he added quickly. "Maria get a stretcher and call for Dr. Chi. We need to get this woman in the emergency room quickly." Waiting until the woman - Maria - got to getting everything ready for Dr. Kenshin. He looked up at SesshoMaru with a questioning gaze and spoke with a hushed tone. "Yokaishino-San this woman is a miko. If I may ask what are you doing with her?"

"She is my mate." SesshoMaru said with a whispered tone. Dr. Kenshin raised a brow but it was quickly forgotten as Kagome was put on a stretcher and rushed to the emergency room. Another doctor, with a name tag that said "Dr. Chi", rushed in after the stretcher.

Five hours later

SesshoMaru found the number to Hojo's and Ayumi's penthouse to call Higurashi-San.

"Oyaho, how may I help you?" Higurashi asked sweetly.

"Hello Higurashi-San. It's SesshoMaru Yokaishino - I wanted to call you to tell you that Kagome is in the hospital because of her miko powers. There is nothing to worry about because I got to the hospital in time to be helped. A friend of mine - - Dr. Kenshin - - is taking care of her."

"Oh thank Kami! I thought something bad happened to her." Higurashi-San smiled to herself think.

`Does SesshoMaru think me so ignorant as to think that it was just because of her miko powers! Pff please.'

"Well I thank you for the call and tell Kagome-Chan when she wakes up that I am over at Shinoko-San's home."

"I will."

"Arigatoo." Higurahsi-San breathed before hanging up.

Turning to the petit yet very womanly figure that resided in the hospital bed SesshoMaru sighed inaudibly. Thinking of a way to contact Kagome with the mind he came up with Mind-Weaving. Taking a seat closest to Kagome her put one un-clawed hand upon Kagome's small and fragile hand. SesshoMaru chanted a few words such as "In the realms of your mind I enter and I wish to speak. Open your mind for me to see."

SesshoMaru's spirit was quickly taken to Kagome's deepest parts of her hidden mind, his physical body quickly hit the bed after his spirit went to Kagomes' body. The things SesshoMaru saw were mere flashes but left him happily a waiting the time when he would speak with Kagome with minds.

He barely saw a picture of himself naked hovering over Kagome when he first mated with her.

He saw Rin skipping with a young Shippo, InuYasha resting up in a tree, he saw Miroku and Sango talking of their wedding plans and then he saw himself. He was holding someones' hand - - he figured Kagomes' - - under a Cherry Tree in full blossom.

And then he saw Kagome's sanctuary coming into view. With Kagome herself, sitting on a tatami bamboo mat with a red cushion under her bottom. She turned towards the newest noise and a surprised gasp passed her soft pink lips.

"SesshoMaru?" Kagome hesitated to ask afraid that the illusion would disappear any moment. Knowing that he was the real thing she ran to him not afraid anymore. He stood there with his knee length moonlit kissed hair, his honey colored orbs danced with love at the site of Kagome, and wearing his alabaster silk kariginu.

~(A/n : A Kariginu is the festive Shinto priest robes. I know that SesshoMaru doesn't wear anything like that but think of what InuYasha wears. His clothing is deprived from the Kariginu.)~

SesshoMaru merely smiled while wrapping his arms around Kagome's shoulders. Taking great pleasure in just being able to be near her as the Demon Lord SesshoMaru not some president of electronics' company with the name of SesshoMaru Yokaishino.

"Oh Sessho-Kun I must be dreaming. But if it is a dream I wish it would never end." Kagome exclaimed.

"I know Kagome. I know. Kagome? Tell me, were you honest with me when we were together in Sengoku Jidai?" Kagome's sharp intake of breath was an enormous give away for her.

"I am so sorry and am living in guilt and am constantly lonely because of my actions. I live in the future - - year 2003 to be exact - - and I wonder every day if you have forgotten me." Kagome's tear stained face looked up to SesshoMaru's face.

"I expected as much."

"You don't to be my mate any more do you? I know why because I am selfish and did not say anything because I did not want you worrying. Plus I was going to tell you that day but Midoriko did not give me the chance of talking with you after the wish was made. I don't even know what happened to the jewel." Kagome yelled stepping out of SesshoMaru's warm embrace.

"I said I expected as much because I know what you are going though! Kagome," SesshoMaru exclaimed showing his anguish over the fact that Kagome was stepping away from him with tears running down her face. "please let me explain."

"SesshoMaru you don't know what happened to me when I was rudely awakened to the world that I have been leaving behind because of my love for you! My mother is barely there for me. Sure she knows about you because I look at pictures constantly wishing, dreaming that my time in my time is just another illusion and that I am back in your arms. Sharing your bed. But no I had to live without the simple way you spoke the simple and way you would look at me and let me and only me see the true you. I had to give into my studies and totally - - and non successfully - - forget about my time with you." Kagome bawled out. "And finally I am in college. I am in my fourth year actually. I plan to be a doctor while on the weekends being a private teacher of the old arts. Do you know that it has been so hard on me to get my life back on line? NO you don't! Because you are probably bedding some whore while your true mate is practically drowning with all that she has to do!" Kagome screamed the last sentence out letting the four years' tears and heartache get the best of her. SesshoMaru - - who was blown away by this display of raw emotions - - numbly ran to Kagome to embrace her.

Kagome tried with all her might - - which was quiet a lot in the emotional state she was in - - get out of SesshoMaru's circle of arms. Failing quickly she gave in to the warmth and cried for everything.

"Shh Kagome I am right here. I will always be here. Why didn't you tell me?" Sesshomaru asked softly and gently.

"I-I do not know why anymore. I just wanted to be with you and not talk about my self so very much." Kagome confessed.

SesshoMaru smiled as he picked Kagome up and sat down on the cushion she sat when he first walked in. "Kagome you should know that Inu-Yokai mate for life. As long as I am living you live and as long as you live I am living. And to bed anyone besides your mate would be dishonorable and disrespectful. Of course you should know that I would never bed anyone besides you. Now what did happen to you?" SesshoMaru heard Kagome sigh in response.

"Okay but you were asking for it." Kagome playfully tapped SesshoMaru's chest before she started talking again. "As soon as I woke up in the court yard of my old shrine which was Beloved Shrine I felt two extra auras coming from my home. It turned out to be my father with his new wife. He wanted Sota and I to come with him and Leah - - his new wife - - to America, Leah was a quarter Indian, a quarter Scottish and half Japanese. I flat out refused him. I was still in shock at being forced back home and seeing him for the first time in twelve years. But Sota - - who didn't remember what he did - - gladly went with him.

After that Ojii-San went to go visit some sister in China. She was in the hospital because she fell ill. So when it was just my mother and I, she had a heart attack. She then had another one and then another. I felt so useless for just standing by her bed side in the hospital after they had gotten her stabilized, this had happened five weeks after I got back. But I was so useless to her. When I threw myself in to my training and my schoolwork she became worried. That's why I slowed down my training. I perfected my art as a miko and am slightly more powerful then Midoriko herself. I got college offer after college offer but the one that caught my interest was the one in Akita. I can't remember the college name right now but it had an excellent health/medical recommendation.

I moved there when my mother was well enough to go. She wanted to live in a shrine, so I had the extra responsibility of being shrine priestess, though some how everyone in Japan found out about my being the `Lengendy Priestess of the Shikon No Tama'. Then on accident, I was singing for my old school and there was a talent scout and now everyone knows me by that way. Most of my songs somehow relate to my adventures. But that's off the topic. When we - - my mother and I - - arrived in Akita we were told of the shrines' legends. One in fact related to our adventures. It was the tale of the Miko and TaiYokai. Remember that one time when I had to stop by a shrine because my powers were changing because of our mating? Well that very shrine is in Akita and the shrine I am now priestess of. I found out that I am not Kikyo's reincarnation, at least not fully. The woman that took over my old shrine was the reincarnation of Kikyo. Though not fully, like me." Kagome stopped the story for SesshoMaru interpreted.

"I remember how your powers grew but I need to know why I cannot find you in the city. Usually true mates can smell their partner."

"I know. I read about it in an ancient scroll that was in my old shrine." Kagome sighed while speaking. "It said if one of the mates is in emotional stress then the magic that allows them to smell each other and know where the other is, is weakened. It is, in other words, gone. The magic has been taken away for the one of the mates is not all there. You might say." Kagome explained, she then remembered something. "And I have a concealing spell on. It prevents other yokai and powerful humans from smelling your scent on such and me. It also conceals the Mating Mark on my neck and hip."

"I understand now. Please go on with your story." SesshoMaru insisted.

"Okay where was I?" Kagome thought for a second then began again. "Well when I started school I was flirted with by every man on campus. Even the ones with girlfriends. I swiftly denied them and went to my work. That was when I met this man after coming home from the store with some veggies. He reminded me of you and my mother was no help. She wanted me to see him and I tried to explain that I had you but even I was beginning to question if you were still living. But today when I finally did go out with him I was attacked by the reincarnation of Naraku, his name is Maku. Now I am in the hospital because of my stupidity. I - - on accident - - let loose most of my priestess powers and am in severe condition. For a priestess cannot survive with out her powers."

SesshoMaru finally understood why he couldn't smell nor find Kagome. She was under emotional stress and her concealing spell. Now he was just glad that he had found her. But this Maku alarmed him.

`Is he going to follow the same path as his incarnate? If he is I will have to tell Kagome of my deceit.'

SesshoMaru thought while holding Kagome as one would a lifeline. Suddenly the dream got hazy and foggy.

"Oh dear. Sessho-Kun I am waking up, I must go. Come and see me…I will be waiting." With that Kagome disappeared and SesshoMaru was thrown out of her mind.

Kagome slowly opened her eyes to be greeted with a white clean room. Turning her head slightly she saw that Yokaishino had fallen asleep holding her hand. Moving it slightly to make him wake up he sifted and his long, thick eyelashes fluttered open.

"Oi SesshoMaru-San. How did you sleep?" Kagome wondered sweetly.

"Kagome-Chan?" SesshoMaru needed to tell her. But he was afraid that she would be mad.

"Yes SesshoMaru-San?"

"I need to tell you that I am…" Dr. Kenshin cut off SesshoMaru by merely walking into the room.

"Well Higurashi-San it seems as though you are fine. Yokaishino-San here just got over excited over you collapsing. No need to worry though, just get rest and no over working your self. There was one thing though." Dr. Kenshin trailed off to get the okay to go on earning it he went into the bad news. "Your blood type is quiet different then normal human beings. It seems almost like animal DNA. And there is something rather wrong about your ovary."

Kagome blushed and spoke quietly. "Yokaishino-San could you please leave Dr. Kenshin and I alone while he speaks with me?" It sounded like a request but SesshoMaru could tell it was a demand. Getting up after a quick squeeze of her hand he left to listen outside. Waiting for SesshoMaru to close to the door Kagome spoke. "You may go on now Dr. Kenshin."

"I thought you would make him leave. Now there seems as though you ovary is holding a fertile egg in you. The fertile egg seems to be a few years old as well. Might I ask if you were sexually active lately?" Dr. Kenshin asked to a shocked Kagome.

"I don't understand. I mean I haven't had sexual intercourse," Kagome blushed a deep crimson as she spoke. "Since I was seventeen and that with my mate. I just don't understand." Kagome whispered so quietly that Dr. Kenshin barely heard her, he heard and SesshoMaru heard her.

"Is there something wrong Higurashi-San?"

"No but how is that possible?"

"Well I am trying to figure that out as well. My assumption would be that your body - - that is purely a powerful priestess - - has halted the process in which a normal woman would go through when she is impregnated." Dr. Kenshin explained his theory to a still stunned Kagome. "Higurashi-San I would like to ask you, if you don't mind, who had sexual intercourse with you?" Kagome blushed but nodded that it was all right.

"Well to tell you the truth he was and still is my mate." Kagome sighed as she thought of how to explain this. "I gave myself to him on my seventeenth birthday and he marked me as his mate." Kagome took off the concealing spell she had conjured. It showed a crescent shaped bite mark on her left shoulder - - where the shoulder meets the neck. And it Kagome then showed the crescent mark on her right hip.

"Why would your "Mate" give you a bite mark on both your right hip and left shoulder?" Dr. Kenshin wondered. Though he knew the traditions and that SesshoMaru was listening right outside the door.

"Well I think it has something to do with my Mate's religion. I never got around to ask him why he did it but I always wondered." Kagome spoke with a soft almost sad tone. She then smiled suddenly and spoke in her normal tone. "But on to other things it was a year after I gave myself to him that I actually had to leave. The day before I finally had to leave we. Well you know." Kagome waved it aside and re-chanted the concealing spell and taking any trace of SesshoMaru's scent with it.

SesshoMaru, who was outside of the room, was astonished at the scent that had radiated from Kagome then her story.

`Everything she says fits in perfectly. Now just how to revel myself to her, without her going postal.'

SesshoMaru's musings were cut short how ever when Dr. Kenshin came out of the room and stood in front of him with a deadly serious expression on.

"You know the real reason why her body is stopping the unborn child's growth. I would advise you to act quickly. Once word gets out in the public about this she is not going to be safe." With that Dr. Kenshin walked away in a haze of white clothing and red-ish brown hair. SesshoMaru nodded to him self and headed in to Kagome's room.

From the two chapters that are posted I get that it is like Sleeping Beauty but with a huge twist. It's main pairing is Sess/Kag and SF says that Naraku may just be a pawn to even bigger enemy so go read and it is great!
