InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ Pirate Runaway ❯ Alluding Sleep ( Chapter 11 )
[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]
Gosh. I'm sorry. I can't help it, leaving a cliffy. But you know what? Every chapter ends in a cliffy until the story is finished. A friend told me that. Though I think even the last chapter can be a cliffy. But I'm not that evil. I think...
11Sleep
sat by the window, unable to get any sleep with the thought of her crew in the dungeons. 'I have to help them escape,' she thought while staring up at the half moon. 'They don't belong down there.'
stood up and walked over to the west wall. She prushed her ear to the cold wood and listened silently. She heard the faint sound of a fire beyond the wall. 'Apparently,' Kagome thought wryly as she walked over to her bed and sat upon the soft mattress, 'my captor cannot sleep either, or he doesn't want to go to sleep.' She sighed as her head hit the pillow. 'I do not deserve this,' she thought as exhaustion took over. 'I should be there, with my crew...'
sat on the cot while looking out the small bared window, which was pretty much a square hole in the thick stone. Outside the moonlight streamed in the small caged area. Deni lay sleeping in the cot across drom her. The other girls shared the cells around them, which was about five more. They were all sleeping. All but Sango. She couldn't sleep. All she could think of is how she had failed her fellow captain and best friend and if she was okay.
she whispered as she finally layed down upon her uncomfortable cot. "Please be okay..."
sat in bed, leaning against the bed post while reading a book. The fire crackled in the hearth, making the shadows dance across the room. He had gotten the book to take his mind of the girl. He had been reading it, but his mind drifted away from the book. He had been looking for her ever since she left. He didn't even know why. It was confusing to him, but the girl made him curious. It was the way she acted, the way she acts.
sighed as he placed the book on the nightstand beside him. He knew she was going to try and escape. She was something else, something different. She would try to escape, he knew that. As would her crew. They won't let themselves be locked up without a fight. But he was ready for the fight, and he was confident that he would be victorious.
stood up and walked over to the window. 'I will not allow any of them to escape,' he thought determindly as the clouds uncovered the moon. Moonlight poured in through his room, covering him in the silvery light as well. He opened the window and let the wind rush in. He was vaguely aware that the fire blew out. "You will not run from me this time," he whispered into the wind. "There will be no where to run..."
shot up in bed. She was panting heavily as though she had been running, and her blankets had been twisted as if she had been tossing. Kagome reached out to pull the blankets loose as she relived her dream.
the dream)
was running towards the ocean. She could she her ship, but it was floating away, going out to sea. "No!" she yelled at the sailing ship. "Wait for me!" Kagome kept running, but the ship only got farther. "No," she whimpered as she fall to the ground on her knees.
whirled around when she felt a hand on her shoulder. Blue met gold. Her eyes filled with tears as soon as she saw those eyes. "Kagome," he whispered. "I have made sure you stay with me." He pulled her into a tight hug. He pulled back and stared longingly into her eyes. Slowly, his lips came down to hers. Just a whisper before contact he whispered, "You will not run from me this time. There will be no where to run..." She was suddenly in a demanding but soft liplock. The kiss was swift and he pulled away to look into her eyes. "You will stay here..."
to reality)
is wrong with me?' she though sullenly. She had dreamed about her and her captor in a liplock, something she surely did not want. But, if that was so, why did her heart race when he moved in? Why did her stomach do cartwheels at the thought of kissing him again?
laid in bed the rest of the night, trying desperately not to go to sleep. Trying not to let herself have another dream that would cause herself more confusion.
I know it was short. Terribly short. But I can't remember what I was going to write. I'll work on another chappy soon. Plaese review. Ja ne!
