Chapter 1: Concrete angel

It was happening again her mom was yelling and her father was hitting her. Yes Kagome had an abusive father he hit her every time her or her brother did something wrong.

Her mother couldn’t do anything to stop him but every night her mom made the same promise to her “one day will run away and never come back” it was the same thing as every night so as usual Kagome cried herself to sleep.

The next morning Kagome woke up to the sound of her alarm clock. Kagome walked in to into the washroom to have her shower. As the water pounded on her back as she wondered how she was going to explain these bruises to Inuyasha.
She could always just tell him that she fell down the shrine steps but then she would be lying, she hated lying to her friends about anything. But she had to she didn’t want anyone to know her father beat her especially Inuyasha. She would just act like every thing was fine.

As she got out of the shower she looked in the mirror at her body in disgust it was covered in bruises from her elbows to her knees. She walked into her bedroom and picked some clothes form her pink dresser. She picked a pair of blue low rise jeans with a light pink sweater that covered her bruises with a light blue scarf and a pair of white and pink Baby-Phat shoes.

As she packed her bag to go to the feudal era she listened to the radio, her favourite song came on concrete angel by Martina McBride then she thought ‘this song is just like my life except I haven’t died yet’
