Sun shone down on the beautiful castle where a long black hair girl slept in her queen size bed. She woke up to the sound of her servant opening her eyes she slowly sat up from her blue satin sheets. “Time to wake up Princess Kagome,” Her servant said. Kagome yawned and stretched her arms slowly removing the sheets off her body. Her long black hair was a bit messy.
She slipped on her pink slippers. “You may leave,” Kagome said. Servant nodded and left. Kagome looked at her pink dress that had laces on the front a bow in the back and laces on the bottom. “Why do I have to be the Princess why can’t I live a normal life!” Kagome almost yelled out. Sango her fateful friend walked in. “Cause you’re the Princess and everyone loves you,” Sango said.
Kagome gave her a look. “You love being a smart ass,” Kagome said. Sango giggled and helped Kagome with her dress and did Kagome’s hair up in a bun. Kagome placed her little crown on her head that symbols she is the Princess of the North. Kagome sighed looking in the mirror. Sango did not ask why she sighed cause she knew Kagome was getting tired of the Princess in waiting thing where she has to wait for Mr. Higurashi to choose a husband. Sango was wearing her pink kimono. Kagome walked out to get her breakfast meeting Mr. Higurashi and mother for breakfast. “Presenting Princess Kagome,” The servant said.
“Is it necessary to say my name?” Kagome asked. Her dad’s face got angered and Kagome knew she was off to a bad start. “It was a question father don’t bite my head off,” Kagome said. At breakfast they were silent. “Kagome your mother and I decided you should marry soon with your chosen husband Prince Naraku,” The King said. Kagome freaked out almost chocking on her pancakes. “But papa! Prince Naraku is not a man of my choice! Why can’t I marry Prince Inu Yasha or Prince Sesshoumaru shouldn’t love be the first important thing!?” Kagome raised her voice.
The King slammed his fist. “Are you rasing your voice at me and questioning my authority?” The King yelled. Kagome got angry. “Yes I am father! Naraku is evil he is a mad man! You’re gonna let me marry him! He will hurt me father!” Kagome yelled. Kagome’s mother tried to calm her husband down. “You are marrying Prince Naraku in three days and that’s an order!” Mr. Higurashi yelled, “Now go to your chambers!” Kagome got up very angered at Mr. Higurashi. “I rather die than marry a jerk!” Kagome said. Kagome ran tears in her eyes. She darted out of the room as Mr. Higurashi watched in hurt and anger but he wouldn’t show the hurt he had inside.
Kagome ran into her chambers and embracing into her best friends arms. Sango comforted Kagome hugging her. Princess Kagome’s eyes were red and puffy. Princess Kagome you have visitor from the South. Kagome shot up knowing it was Inu Yasha. Princess Kagome ran with Sango outside. Princess Kagome looked at Prince Inu Yasha she admired his beautiful sliver hair and his golden eyes. She stood there for just a few minutes than embraced Prince Inu Yasha he hugged her back. “I’m sorry I heard,” Prince Inu Yasha said. Princess Kagome grew close to Inu Yasha when she was only fourteen now that she is seventeen she was falling in love with him.
Miroku got off his horse and he bowed to Sango which made her blush. “I don’t want to be with Naraku he will hurt me Inu Yasha,” Kagome said. Inu Yasha knew Naraku is evil. “Your father is a fool for making you marry that baboon,” Inu Yasha said. Kagome hugged Inu Yasha and cried. The servant walked out. “Princess Kagome your father would like to speak with you,” The servant said. Kagome sighed and tried to stop the tears. Sango bowed. “We will be back,” Sango said. Kagome and Sango walked into the throne room where Kagome’s father sat there on his golden and red velvet throne. “Yes father?” Kagome said. He looked at his daughter. “Prince Naraku will be arriving tomorrow and I want you to prepare for him he will be sleeping in your corridors,” Mr. Higurashi said.
Kagome wanted to scream. “WHAT?! But father no!” Kagome said. Mr. Higurashi got angry. “He is your husband to be treat him with respect! And your love,” He said. Kagome bunched her fist tightly into her hands. “You can’t be serious father this man is evil he killed Miroku’s father and attacked villages before,” Kagome said. Mr. Higurashi glared at her. “Don’t back talk me those are all lies Naraku is a kind and gentle man who will lead our country to victory,” Mr. Higurashi said. Kagome was even more upset she didn’t want to marry him.
“I rather die than marry him,” Kagome said. Mr. Higurashi got very angry when he heard that. “Kagome Higurashi! Go to your corridors and don’t come out till Prince Naraku arrives!” Mr. Higurashi said. Kagome shoot a glare at Mr. Higurashi. “I have guest father Prince Inu Yasha has came to visit me,” Kagome said. Mr. Higurashi stood up. “Sango tell Prince Inu Yasha that Kagome sends her regards but she can’t be with a half Hanyou who is a failure in his country,” Mr. Higurashi said. Kagome screamed. “He is not a failure father! So what if he is half Hanyou it don’t matter if your in love!” Kagome said.
Mr. Higurashi had spoken and he gave her that look as the guards escorted Kagome to her room. Sango walked outside sad look on her face. “What’s wrong Sango?” Miroku asked. Sango sighed and bite her lip for a second than spoke. “Prince I am sorry but I have to ask you to leave Princess Kagome was sent to her corridors and is ordered to room with Prince Naraku who is coming tomorrow,” Sango said. Inu Yasha got mad and wanted to go and get Kagome and take her away.
Sango was upset. Shuffling sound was heard and Princess Kagome’s mother was walking to them. “Prince Inu Yasha I am sorry for my husband’s rudeness but please do me a favor Prince Inu Yasha take my daughter away before Prince Naraku arrives tomorrow, take her from here,” Mrs. Higurashi said. Inu Yasha blinked a couple times. “Are you sure I might be thrown to the dungeon for kidnaping your daughter,” Inu Yasha said. Miroku blinked.
“It’s not kidnaping if I tell you to take her. Sango tell Kagome to write a runaway letter pack your stuff too and Prince Inu Yasha take good care of my daughter,” Mrs. Higurashi said. Inu Yasha bowed. “Anything for you Queen Higurashi I will make sure your daughter will be safe,” Inu Yasha said.
Sango run upstairs through the hallways she went to the brown and white doors and opened them she shut them quickly and sat on the blue satin bed and placed her hand on her friend’s back. “Princess your mother request you to write a run away letter,” Sango said. Kagome sat straight up. “What are you talking about?” Kagome asked. Sango smiled. “Your mother wants you to runaway instead of marrying that Naraku,” Sango said.
Kagome’s eyes lit like no other she was happy she packed a couple of her belongs and she packed some money into her bag so they have money to eat. Kagome now only had to sneak out. The Queen walked into Kagome’s room. “My little Princess, Inu Yasha will be here to take you at night meet him on your balcony with Sango he will get u from there,” She said. Kagome embraced her mother. “Thank you,” Princess Kagome said.
Princess Kagome was very happy she was taking off with her mother’s wishes and her father would think she ran away. But one thing came across her mind will they be able to be free and not be caught. All she could do was pray for the best. As she packed her favorite photo of her mom and dad and her when she was a child.
