Thoughts Can Be Deceiving

Disclaimer: Same as Chapter 1.

"Doshite no Kagome-Sama?" said Sango and Miroku almost at the same time. They then spotted their fallen comrade. "Inuyasha" they shouted, as they ran towards him. "Kagome-Sama, what happened?" Miroku asked. As it were, Kagome was too choked up to talk. "He… He… He… is dead because of me", said Kagome. "NANI" they all exclaimed, taken aback. "Kagome-Sama, how did this happen?" asked Miroku. "Well I came out here to find him, after he ate everyone's surprise that I had brought back, and he was still sleeping. I should've known something was wrong, because when I called out his name, he actually apologized. I still made him eat dirt big time 15 times for doing that, and he already wasn't his normal self.

I called out to him, but he wouldn't answer me, so I just walked up to him. It was then I noticed that he wasn't moving, and the osuwari spell had already worn off. He was just laying there." Kagome told them, as she fell to her knees and sobbed uncontrollably. What Kagome and the others didn't know was that Inuyasha was not dead; In fact, he was still alive, but barely. His heart rate had slowed to one beat per minute, and so no one really noticed that he was still alive.

Sango, who just had been hit that she had lost a dear friend, approached Kagome with tears in her own eyes and said, "Kagome-Sama, you must stay strong for Inuyasha's sake. He would have wanted you to. Kagome didn't want to her anyone's voice except his, but he was dead, so she got to her feet and ran towards the Bone Eaters Well. Her friends had try to catch her, and they were yelling for her to stop, but that just made Kagome run all the more faster. When she reached the well, she dove in headfirst, and landed hard on her side of the well. There she sat and cried. "I feel totally worthless", Kagome managed to say through her sobs.

Kagome climbed out of the well, and went inside her house, where her mother greeted her. "Okaidiimasu" Asami exclaimed. "How's my daughter, and why are you back so soon?' Asami asked as she looked her daughter over. It was then that she noticed her daughters tearstained face. "What happened this time Kagome?" she asked her daughter. "It wasn't really his fault this time. It was my fault." Kagome told her mother. "Then what did you do that has gotten you so upset Kagome?" her mother asked her. "I… I… killed Inuyasha." "What" said Kagome's mother, and her little brother souta in unison. "You killed Inu no nii-chan? I hate you." he said as he started crying and ran out of the room. "Tell me how it happened", Kagome's mother asked Kagome.

Meanwhile, in the Sengoku Jidai, Inuyasha was beginning to show signs of life. Miroku, Sango, Kirara, and Shippou had escorted his "believed to be dead body" back to Kaede's village. Kaede startled the group with the news that Inuyasha was not dead; he was just in a deep comatose state. Since there was nothing else to do at the time, they all waited for any signs of recovery from Inuyasha. They soon fell asleep waiting on their friend.

The group was startled awake by a loud vomiting sound. They were all awake now. "Inuyasha" they all exclaimed happily. All Inuyasha could think of was Kagome. "Just where is that damn girl?" Inuyasha mused to himself. Inuyasha then spoke in a sickening whisper, "Kagome, where is she?" His question went unanswered, as everyone was overjoyed that Inuyasha was going to pull through. Out of all of them, Shippou was the happiest. He ran up and hugged Inuyasha, and began crying. Inuyasha had been so bad to Shippou; they did agree on a lot of things, Inuyasha sometimes played with him, he stuck up for Shippou like the time he was attacked by those villagers, he didn't kill him(while Shippou knew Inuyasha had more then enough strength to do that). It was all too much, and he just wailed and wailed. Inuyasha, not used to this type of situation, hugged Shippou back, and told him, "Everything is going to be fine." As the crying and the voices died down, Miroku spoke up answered Inuyasha's question. "Kagome-Sama thought she had killed you, and so did we, and sop she ran back to the bone eaters well, and went home."

Inuyasha rose to his feet, but found himself stumbling to the ground, having not overcome the effects of all that chocolate. "Kami's I feel so damn weak", exclaimed Inuyasha. "I might as well be a fucking human", said Inuyasha. "Don't say that like it's a bad thing" said Sango and Miroku in unison. "Kagome, don't you dare do anything stupid", said the hanyou, as he used Tessaiga to pick himself up, and help him walk towards the Bone Eaters Well.

Kagome had felt so terrible about "killing Inuyasha." All kinds of thoughts ran through her head. Inuyasha finally had reached the well, and sort of just threw his body over the side of the well. He landed hard on Kagome's side of the well, and began to pick himself up, when he heard Kagome yell out something, and then her voice got distant. He came out of the well to see Kagome's mother crying. "What's wrong?" Inuyasha asked Asami. All she could say though was "Inuyasha-Chan, PLEASE SAVE KAGOME."
