Ch.2: Death of One!?

As Inuyasha lay there on the ground, death ran through his mind. "What did I do to myself" thought Inuyasha. He had lain there for about an hour, when Shippou bounded up to him, and proceeded to jump up and down on him. "Kagome is mad that you left" Shippou exclaimed as he still jumped. The jumping was causing Inuyasha great pain. "Kuso" Inuyasha managed to mutter. He tried grabbing Shippou to throw him, but he was too weak to do so. Inuyasha finally said, "Oi runt, get the fuck off of me". "Why don't you make me?" Shippou asked. Inuyasha stayed silent for a long time before he answered.

It was hard enough to let people know his feelings, now he had to tell them he was sick? Ha. "That's a laugh" thought Inuyasha. I would never tell if I was sick, because youkai don't get sick. "Tell her I'm sleeping" Inuyasha said as he feigned a yawn. "Tell her I was really tired, and took a nap" he told the kit, and then rolled over. The Kit was satisfied with this, and he left to tell Kagome, but not before he noticed a sickly smell, and something slightly sweet coming from Inuyasha. "At least there was some truth to that" thought Inuyasha.

Kagome sighed as she got the news of the sleeping hanyou from Shippou. He had told her all of what had happened except for the sickly part, he didn't think it mattered so he left it out. "I really wanted to give him something special tonight, but his treat will have to wait until tomorrow I guess", said Kagome. Meanwhile, Inuyasha was struggling with illness. He was having problems breathing, he was groaning fairly loudly because of the pain, and he had thrown up seven times already. Inuyasha was almost drowning in puke. "I am such a baka" he thought to himself through the grunts and groans. Back at camp, as everyone was finishing up dinner, Kagome went to get her "surprise" out of her giant backpack. When she opened it, she saw that most of its contents were gone, and all that was in there were her school books, the shards, and an empty Ramen cup. She instantly knew that it was Inuyasha that had done this, and she rushed of to give him the bitching of his life.

When she got to the field where Inuyasha was supposedly sleeping, she looked for him, and saw him on the ground, "sleeping". Inuyasha knew he was in trouble for eating, but the pain from the chocolate brought his attention away from what he knew Kagome would do. Inuyasha was drifting in and out of consciousness, and the thing that stopped all of that was the osuwari attack that Kagome gave him. It was worse then when he had the rock over his shoulders, trying to through it on the well. It was worse then that second time they had met Jinenji, and he said something awful to the other hanyou. After about the third osuwari, Inuyasha fell unconscious. Kagome stopped the attack, and walked towards him with those slanted anger eyes.

She had sat him 17 times. Upon getting closer to him, she noticed he didn't move or say his usual line of curses. She then noticed all of the puke on the ground, and what he was laying face down in. "Inuyasha?" she called, and got no response. She called his name again, and again there was no response. She then began reciting his name over and over, frantically trying to wake him up but it was no use. She ran the final distance between the two, and began to shake and push him in an effort to wake him up, but he wouldn't budge. Kagome was real scared now, and she thought out loud, "what have I done?" Tears rolled down her cheek as she felt for his pulse, and there was none. "INUYASHA" she screamed at the top of her lungs.
